My first full Fanfest Expierence report
Aug 12th, 2011, 7:29pm

Just had a day off from work following my first full Fanfest this year and wanted to post a review for some of you.

The most important and greatest thing was the prayer and worship service with Ted Dibease. Two people asked to get saved and let Gid into their hearts at the end of the service. That is bigger than any thing that could or could've happened over the weekend God is good.

Funny story while we had our church service the ballroom was switched over to a wedding party but they forgot to separate the lights for the rooms. When we turned on the lights to see they were on the other side of the wall turning them down to dance and party. This went on for several minutes till we got it taken care of lmao.

Skipped the Q & As on Thr. but got to meet and make friends with several attendees
Ole Anderson and Mr. Wrestling 2 and Tony Atlas were all over the place the whole weekend. Got Ole to tell me the story of what was going on with the Black Scorpion angle in WCW lol. Lets just say that Jim Herd is a moron lmao.

Got to try on one of Randy Savages yellow WCW Macho Man jackets cool sad to see him pass away
Had a late dinner Friday I think at Southside with Jim Niedhart awesome as we talked about football and wheelchair ballroom dancing lmao. Toward the end of eating I was hit on by one of the female diva guest (I think she didn't mean nothing by it, but she may just be normally flirty I dont know) and no it wasn't one of the older women there lol.

Everything was ran superb and very smooth  the autograph lines were no long waits everyone had time to say something to each talent.
The Piper talk on Saturday night was awesome everyone there was wanting him to keep going but it only lasted about a hour. Piper remembered me from our run in on the streets at the gym when Wrestlemania was in town that was super cool.

Breakfast buffet at the restaurant was great especially the omelets

Got to shoot breeze and just talk with Harley Race Saturday night while waiting on the wrestling matches buses to come back to the hotel.

Sunday honestly was pointless the only vendor guest were TNA's Cookie and Bart Gunn if it was not for the last autograph line and some photo ops the whole day really could've been canceled cause all everyone was doing in the ballroom was packing up there tables.

Sunday we went to Abdulah's restaurant for dinner and its awesome whomever made the post awhile back about it being terrible was on crack or something that stuff was good espc. the Chinese next time I'll get the ribs they looked great as well.

Abdulah the Butcher came by the lobby on Friday which was cool as he was doing pics and autographs. Someone said something about Abby doing anything to make a buck but honestly I can say that about every talent in the ballroom I talked to. Almost all the talent that I talked to about a particular terrible gimmick that they had said oh the money was good or they paid me for it so it was good. Money makes the world go around I guess

It was sad to see Bobby Hennan still suffering the effects of his throat surgeries but it was a honor to meet the man as he had to cancel last year due to accident.

There was less vendors this year than last year which I was told also last year by someone else on the one day I attended in Charlotte. Maybe it was due to the event being in Atlanta or maybe the vendor fee being raised I dont know but there needs to be more vendors I think.

Overall this was a great weekend for any wrestling fan and Greg Price is a great guy for putting all this together God bless him, but I hope next year isnt the last.

Maybe next year the main guest could be Jesse the Body Ventura ? just a thought and bring that Firpo (spelling) guy back as a featured guest

The female that hit on me I'm sure didn't mean it that way just being flirty-friendly but that's how it came off. If someone doesn't like Abby's then sorry but I thought it was great. Was it as good as Sundial's food no but it was still good to me. Plus all the pics in the place was cool to look through.

Still think Ventura would be good for next year dosent really fit with Charlotte I dont think but to my knowledge he has done any kind of fanfest/appearance. How about Greg and Verne Gagne that would be cool. The Great Muta would be awesome as well wish he couldve been there this year.
