I'm Ed Whalen and do we have a show lined up for you today! With me is Jim Davies doing the ring announcing. On today’s program you will see the Royal Kangaroos in action. We'll also see Mike Shaw and Mr. Canada in tag action and Bruce Hart in the ring. We'll also have a report on the incident that occurred recently between Bret Hart and the Mongolian Stomper. Also, ladies and gentlemen, we have new International Tag-Team Champions in Duke Myers and Hubert Gallant, the "Sports Agents." They defeated Keith and Jack Hart for the championships on Tuesday night in Regina, Saskatchewan. We will be showing highlights of that match later on in the program. Now let's go to the ring. 1. The Royal Kangaroos def. Johnny Smith/Billy Two Eagles -- In a match brought back from last week after the match was interrupted due to the "Sports Agents" attack of Jack and Keith Hart in the locker room. Interview w/ The Royal Kangaroos -- Norman F. Charles III and Lord Jonathan Boyd continue to boast about their winning ways and that eventually they will get more suitable competition worthy of their talent. COMMERCIAL Monday: Lethbridge, Alberta Tuesday: Regina, Saskatchewan (Exhibition Auditorium) Wednesday: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Thursday: Medicine Hat, Alberta Friday: Calgary, Alberta Saturday: Edmonton, Alberta Ed: Welcome back, and we'd like to take you now to video from this past Tuesday night in Regina, Saskatchewan, where Duke Myers and Hubert Gallant challenged Keith & Jack Hart for the International Tag-Team Championships. We're going to join this match in progress. 2. International TTC: "Sports Agents" Duke Myers & Hubert Gallant def. Keith & Jack Hart (new International TTC) -- The match is joined in progress around the 15-minute mark. Jack Hart is wrestling with an injured neck and head suffered the previous week on television. Keith Hart tries to shield his partner by staying in the ring as long as he can, but the double-teaming of Myers and Gallant make it virtually impossible for him to stay in the ring forever. Eventually, he has no choice but to tag out to Jack Hart with the "hot tag." Jack comes in the ring and starts to take care of business, but after a matter of seconds Myers clobbers down on Jack's head, altering the momentum. Then Myers and Gallant work over Jack's head and neck persistently for four to five minutes with clothesline, neckbreakers, headlocks and the likes. It's getting brutal. Jack Hart is virtually limp in the ring. Finally, a battered Keith Hart has no choice. He enters the ring and tells the referee to stop the match. He waves his arms furiously and covers up Jack from any future beating, forfeiting the match and titles over to Myers and Gallant. Ed: From what we've been told Jack Hart's neck and head injuries are so severe that his return to the ring is unknown, if he'll ever be able to come back. Interview w/ "Sports Agents" Duke Myers & Hubert Gallant and manager Floyd Creatchman -- "We told you that we would win these tag-team titles. And it was easy at that," Creatchman said. "Now we'll be on to bigger and better things and nobody will ever be able to take these belts away from us. Nobody." COMMERCIAL Ed: Welcome back. Last week, we told you about a situation involving North American champion Bret Hart and Archie "Mongolian Stomper" Gouldie. There was a press conference contract signing to schedule a match between the champion and the No. 1 contender. Let's bring in matchmaker Karl Gotch, and Karl, if you would please update us on the situation. Karl: Well, Ed, as was said last week a rather unfortunate situation happened during a press conference to sign the contract for this match. Stampede officials, after much debate, are now at liberty to show the fans exactly what went down during this meeting. It was an unfortunate act indeed. Ed: Let's roll that tape as this time. (TAPE ROLLS) Karl: Ladies and gentlemen, we are here today to sign a contract for a match between North American HC Bret Hart and No. 1 contender the Mongolian Stomper. Without further ado gentlemen here in the contract. Mr. Hart if you would please. Bret signs the contract, being flanked by his father, Stu, and mother, Helen. Before giving the contract back to Karl Gotch. Karl: Thank you. And now Mr. Gouldie. Before Archie Gouldie signs the contract, manager J.R. Foley looks over the contract and precedes to make a few comments. Gouldie signs the contract. Foley: There you go, Karl Gotch. Bret Hart, you are a wanted man. Shine up that belt boy. Your days as champions are numbered. When my man The Mongolian Stomper gets through with you you will wish you had never signed on for this. But let's make sure your brothers and your old man aren't anywhere near ringside. We don't need any of you Harts to cost us what is rightfully ours. Furthermore, Bret Hart, why would a supposed grown man bring his mother to a contract signing like this unless he was a 'Mama's boy.' Bret: That's enough of that. Foley: No, it's not. You are a coward, Bret Hart. You are a 'Mama's boy.' A furious Bret Hart tells Foley to stop talking about his mother and father before Foley continues on, only for Hart to jump over the table and goes after Foley. Before he can do much damage Stomper puts the boots to Bret. Stu tries to break them up, but is shoved aside by Gouldie and later held in check by Foley. Stomper slams a chair over Bret, while Helen and Karl stand out of the way. Stomper and Foley leave the room, while Stu, Helen and Gotch check on Bret. (TAPE ENDS) Karl: As you could see this incident was an ugly situation. But that was only the beginning. While Stampede officials don't condone the comments of Mr. Foley, it was Bret Hart who struck the first blow. We had no choice but to reprimand him when this happened. (SECOND TAPE ROLLS) Karl: Bret, it is my unfortunate duty to inform you that your actions at the press conference was unbecoming of the North American champion. Let it be noted that this is an official reprimand for your actions. Bret: Wait a minute, Karl. They called out my mother and father. Karl: I understand, Bret, but you got physically involved and that has to be addressed. Bret: Well, address this. Bret then levels Karl Gotch. (TAPE ENDS) Ed: Well, Karl, that was an unfortunate act. Karl: Indeed it was, Ed. I understand Bret's frustration, but he has to know that he cannot attack an official representative of Stampede Wrestling. Therefore, after a lengthy meeting with AWA and Stampede officials, I have no choice but to announce that Bret Hart immediately is stripped of the North American title. The belt is held up. Furthermore, a match has been scheduled for next week here on television between the former champion Bret Hart and the No. 1 contender the Mongolian Stomper to determine the North American champion. Ed: That's quite the news, Karl. Karl: It is. I look forward to resolving this situation next week. Ed: Sounds good, Karl. Than you for your time. COMMERCIAL Monday: Lethbridge, Alberta Tuesday: Regina, Saskatchewan (Exhibition Auditorium) Wednesday: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Thursday: Medicine Hat, Alberta Friday: Calgary, Alberta Saturday: Edmonton, Alberta 3. The Nightmares def. Mr. Canada & Mike Shaw -- In an upset, Danny Davis and Ken Wayne score the victory but not because of anything they did per se. A four-way brawl ensues and in the mix of it. Shaw accidentally collides with Mr. Canada, leading to a pinfall by Wayne. Interview w/ Mr. Canada & Mike Shaw -- Shaw and Canada ponder what happened, but both admit it was just a mishap. They'll figure it out and be better prepared the next time. COMMERCIAL 4. Non-title match: Bruce Hart def. Bobby Bass -- Hart defeats Bass with a leglock submission. Interview w/ Bruce Hart -- Hart asks Ed Whalen to invite Jim Neidhart out to the ring. Neidhart walks out. Hart continues to question Neidhart about what is going on, especially with the aggressive nature of his actions in the ring. Neidhart just tells Bruce that things have changed. He is his own man, does things his own way no matter whom it offends. Bruce starts to reach out to Neidhart, who tells him matter-of-factly to not touch him. Just then J.R. Foley, the manager of the Mongolian Stomper walks out. He tells Bruce Hart to stay out of their business as Foley and Neidhart leave the ring area together. Ending the show with a fade off to Ed Whalen saying “In the meantime … and in between time ... that’s it for another edition of Stampede wrestling. Bye now”.
