The Draft Discussion Thread
Apr 26th, 2012, 7:46pm

So, what are you expecting? What are you looking for? Who do you expect to lose?

I look for Dickie Murdoch to be the top pick. He can be a top guy almost anywhere.

I'm probably going to use my picks to protect some guys, but there a few guys out there that I couldn't pass up.

I expect my UPL to be closed before it's over. I'm expecting to lose three of these guys: Alfred Hayes, Angelo Mosca, Kendo Nagasaki, Ron Starr, or Ox Baker. At least one of them before I get a chance to make a save.

It should be interesting.

Would love it Mickey. Thanks.

And any guesses on who are going the top three? Obviously I can't answer but I would like to see who you guys think I will take.

Well, like I said, I think Murdoch is the number one pick. Not sure what you are looking for in Memphis. I'd probably pick Spoiler as two if I had the top three picks. For the third, there are a lot of good options.

Question about draft: Is there a time limit on Saturday? I ask because I'm working @ 11 a.m. at a baseball game. Probably won't have Internet connection at the field, but don't want to hold things up, etc.

You need to make a draft list. What you do is go through the list of draftable people and make a list of about 20 + that you want drafted in order you want them. Then you take that list and send it to Luke and to James via e-mail. That way if you are not here in time for your pick, they will use your list to pick from.  Each person gets 5 minutes to pick or they are skipped over unless the AB has that draft list.

This goes for anyone and everyone. It always happens to at least one person. Something comes up and they cannot get on to do their picks. So please, make sure you have your draft list to Luke and James no later than tomorrow night (Friday night).

Thanks.

I agree with the analyasis so far that Murdock is the blue chipper of this draft.  Tsuruta, Von Raschke, Akbar, Mosca, Fujinami, Robertson, Morales, Albano, Jaggers, the Spoiler, The Moondogs, Black Bart, and Misawa are some other names that I think will go early.

Should be fun to watch, not fun to run but fun to watch.

4 picks in the top 10 could be available. All I ask is do not ask me what I want, e-mail me an offer.

Great draft, but I have a question.

On my list, Mitsurah Misawa was listed No. 2 behind Angelo Mosca. I got my #3 (Dewey Robertson) and #5 (Kelly Kiniski) guys on the list. Misawa was not drafted from what I can tell. I'm assuming this was just a slip up.
