Georgia having lost King Kong Bundy, Tim Woods, and Scott McGhee in the draft and selected Troy T. Tyler and Tim Horner in the draft, we are now at the 34 limit for having the AWA World Heavyweight Tag Team Champions on their roster.

Georgia apoligizes. The booker, who now is a not-so-proud alum of Applachian State University, can't count. He drops Thunderbolt Patterson from the roster.

Bookers,

AWA Mid-South acquired Mark Lewin, Tim Woods and manager Percy Pringle III in todays draft. We lost Tim Horner. We release Ernie Ladd and Bobo Brazil to get us back to 32. We also say goodbye to manager Waldo Von Erich to make room for PP III. After counting the roster twice I come up with 33 so we also release Thomas Tate.

WWA - A major feud has taken place behind the scenes in the WWA, which has resulted in the promotion being closed for the past six weeks. The feud began when Ken Mantel and Pat O'Connor attempted a power grab, which would have forced Bob Geigel out of the promotion. Mr. Geigel was first joined by Angelo Poffo and then by Larry Matysik and Wilbur Snyder enabling him to withstand the assault and reclaim the promotioin that he built up over many years of hard work. Ken Mantel has left the battlefield in defeat and has taken the following talent with him.

WWA releases
Announcer - Kevin Wahl

Big Bad O
Buck Robley
E. T. (Elton) Stanton
Frank Hill
Gene Lewis
Jack Krueger
Jay Strongbow
Jerry Valiant
Ken Mantel
Roberto Soto
Steve Collins
Tony Zane
Yoshiaki Yatsu

Jerry Grey and Tom Jones have also been released but are in Japan and are not listed among those who walked out with Mr. Mantel.

Sorry about the confusion, guys.
Bobo Brazil, Jr., Buck Ramstead and Kurt Von Hess need to removed from the FA if I'm not mistaken.

In place of these 3 WWA claims Paul DeMarco, Dean Ho and Tony Russo.

Hey Brent, It's great to see that you finally decided to join us here.

If whoever has Von Hess would be interested in a trade please contact me. I had him pegged to play a big role in the revamped WWA and while I can use DeMarco just as easy I'd much rather have Von Hess.

Since I do not see him on the boards anywhere and he started managing in Knoxville in 1981 with Sullivan and Ferris, I believe, AWA Heartland would like to pick up Gentleman Jim Holliday as our third manager. Thanks.
