Russell:  Yeeeeeellllllloooooo again and we welcome you to another exciting edition of Championship Wrestling.  Heeeeeeyyyy what a busy week we have had and what a great show we have lined up for ya.  And here’s our old friend Davey to tell us all about it.  
 
Brown:  Yes indeed, Lance.  Hopefully today we will find out more on the Cornette, Kaufman, Lawler, Jarrett situation.  We will also hear from Bill Dundee following his match with Sgt. Slaughter.  Dr. D David Schultz is scheduled to be here.  Jos LeDuc has another challenge for Hulk Hogan.  We will have Ric Flair here and he has some words for Austin Idol.  And the Freebirds have a message for us.  We will also see Tommy Rich, Dutch Mantell, and Sgt. Slaughter in action.  Hey let’s get things started and go to lance who is standing by with the Superstar.
 
 

 
 
Russell and Dundee view a VTR of the match where Slaughter defeated Dundee and gave him a crew cut.
 
Dundee:  (Dejectedly)  Lancer, Slaughter got the best of me and now I got a new haircut brother.  I mean I’m still the best lookin guy out here, but yeah it embarrassing to have my hair cut by that big Gomer Pyle looking goof.  And now, I don’t get no more shots at that belt.  Well, that tells me it’s time for the Superstar to step back, get away, and regroup.  So Lancer, you and Davey boy keep each other straight and I will be back when I get my head straight again.  (Russell and Dundee shake hands and Dundee shakes the hands of the studio audience as he leaves).
 
Russell:  Hey, Let’s go to ring for our first match.

Schultz:  Lance Russell, I want that gutless coward, Dutch Mantell, today right here on TV!  I want that Southern Title because that means big money matches.  I have always told you that all I care about is money.  Now why can’t I get a match with that hairy Chewbacca lookin idiot?
 

 
 
Cornette & Kaufman’s bodyguard, Mr. Kareem Mohammed, walks out and quietly persuades Schultz to follow him to the back.

Hayes:  Lance Russell?  What do these idiots runnin this crappy territory think they are doing?  Here. They have the greatest tag team in the world, The Fabulous Freebirds, and instead of getting shots at the titles, we are stuck wrestling those two lil teeny boppers, Morton & Gibson.  And now, Monday Night, I have to be handcuffed to Tommy Rich?  Are you kidding me?  This place is ridiculous.  Well, I’ll tell you one thing right now.  I can’t be handcuffed to Rich if Rich doesn’t make it to Monday Night.  So, watch your back Rich!

Coffey:  Lance, thank you for having me out here.  First, I would like to announce that the main event on today’s program will be Dutch Mantell defending the Southern Title against David Schultz.  Also, our lawyers have been talking to the lawyers of Kauffman and Cornette.  I still have no idea what they want from us.  I wish I could tell you where we are in negotiations, but to be honest, I haven’t a clue what Cornette and Kaufman want from us.
 
 
             
 
 
Kaufman:  WHAT DO WE WANT?  GUY COFFEY?  YOU ASK WHAT WE WANT?  WE HAVE BEEN HUMILIATED BY LAWYER AND JARRETT AND YOU ASK WHAT WE WANT?
 
Cornette:  Calm down Andy, calm down.  Guy Coffey, as you know, we have a new client in Mr. Schultz.  He sees that we are the future of wrestling in the CWA and the AWA.  He saw that he was being discriminated against by the CWA and we brought him in.  Almost immediately, he receives the Southern Title match he was seeking.  We, banana nose, are the true power here and Guy Coffey will tell you that we have the resources and the people in place to make anything we want happen.
 
 
     
 
 
Bockwinkel:  Gentlemen, please excuse me, but I must interrupt.  As you all know, Jerry Lawler used the most nefarious means to steal the International Title from me and thus he cost me a chance to wrestle AWA World Champion, Wahoo McDaniel.  He has not even offered me a rematch.  I am having to go to other areas such as Heartland based in the Midwest to chase McDaniel.  Humorously, Mr. Lawler is appearing in the same areas and is offering to grant title matches to men such as Manny Fernandez.  I see that you gentlemen are men of action.  I recognize that you have the finances and the clout to make things happen even when self-absorbed individuals such as Mr.’s Lawler, Jarrett, and Coffey are clearly against you.  So, I would like to offer my services to you and be given full access to your services.
 
Cornette and Kaufman look at each other and welcome Bockwinkel into the fold.
 
Coffey:  Gentlemen, we still don’t know what it is you want from us.
 
Cornette:  Have Lawler and Jarrett here next week and we will start the process.  (Cornette sticks some cash in Coffey’s jacket pocket) And go buy yourself a decent suit you slacker!  (The group leaves, laughing )

Tommy Rich def. Frank Morrell with a Thesz press.  After the match, the Freebirds charge the ring and try to triple team Rich, but Tommy is too quick and escapes.
 
 

 
 
LeDuc:  Lence Russell, I am so tired of dis Hulk Hogan running away from me.  So, dis Monday Night, I hev him in a Canadian chain match.  We will be chained together by the wrist and he can’t run from me anymore.  Hogan, we will see how tough you are on Monday.

Idol:  Dahlin, looks like Ric Flair learned a lesson last week when he got stripped down to his undies and his socks.  Flair, I don’t know where you are from, but here in Memphis we don’t take kindly to your kind.  The Idol knows how to take care of himself and Flair learned that last week.  (Russell invites Idol to stay and provide commentary for the main event).
 
 
2nd Fall – Dutch Mantell pins David Schultz with a Russian leg sweep
 
 
Idol:  Looks like the Dutchman is gonna pull this one off Lance.  I just want Ric Flair to know that I didn’t get enough of him last week on TV or at the Coliseum.  So, Monday Night, I get Flair again and “Nature Girl,” the Idol will tear you apart just like I tore your clothes apart.
 
 
3rd Fall – David Schultz pins Dutch Mantell after Mohammed nailed the Dutchman from behind as Cornette distracted the referee.  Dr. D David Schultz is the NEW Southern Champion.
 
 
Idol:  That’s just not right Dahlin.  Dutch just got robbed!  (At this time, Ric Flair charges from behind the set and ambushes Idol.  Flair drives Idol to the studio floor and pounds him mercilessly.  Cornette, Kaufman, Mohammed, Schultz, and Bockwinkel surround Flair and Idol and fight off anyone who tries to break up Flair’s attack on Idol.  After rendering Idol defenseless, Flair grinds Idol’s face all along the studio floor.  Streaks of blood can be seen on the floor as Idol’s face scrapes against it.  Finally, Flair seems satisfied with the job he did on Idol and leaves the studio.  Cornette and his men follow behind as the fan favorites check on a bloody Idol.  
 
Russell:  Booooyyyyyyy, what kinda creep is this Flair?  Awwwww Austin’s face is a mess.  Heeeeeyyyyy, we haven’t heard the end of this one.  I wonder if Austin can make it to the matches Monday Night?  And why was Kaufman and his crew involved in this?  Weeeeeee’ll find out and let you all know next week fans.  See you at the Coliseum Monday Night.

The Rock-n-Roll Express def. The Fabulous Freebirds with a double dropkick to Roberts.  Michael Hayes was handcuffed to Tommy Rich and could not interfere.

Canadian Chain Match
Hulk Hogan def. Jos LeDuc when Cornette’s crew comes to ringside and as referee Calhoun is distracted and Mohammed interferes.  Everyone involved seems confused as Cornette’s crew is not affiliated with Hogan.
 
Match 5
Austin Idol vs Ric Flair ends in a double DQ as the referee could not control either man.  Idol comes out with his face bandaged.  Idol attacked before the bell and tore into Flair.  Eventually, Flair fought back and worked on Idol’s face.  Idol was a bloody mess and threw the rulebook out.  He went after Flair in the ring, outside the ring and up the aisle.  The referee called for the bell while the two combatants were slugging it out in the aisle.  Strangely, Cornette’s crew comes out of the dressing room and help Flair to the back, fending off Idol.

This is more loaded than the two Jerrys could have ever hoped for Memphis to be. You've built up the CWA into every bit of the heavy hitter that some of the larger territories were. Now is Jarrett actually paying the talent any of the truckloads of money he's got to be bringing in...
