PWF Big Time Wrestling September 9, 1982
Oct 11th, 2012, 7:53pm

Pacific Wrestling Federation
presents Big Time Wrestling

KTVU Studio
Sacramento, CA
Host: Hank Renner
Official: Johnny "Red Shoes" Dugan

September 9, 1982

A clip from last week's edition of PWF Big Time Wrestling was shown. Newcomer King Kong Bundy, egged on by his manager, the Grand Wizard, attacked Dick the Bruiser, giving him an avalanche against the ringpost and a piledriver on the floor.

World Television Champion Billy Robinson defeated Kelly Kiniski in 9 minutes following a gut wrench suplex. Kiniski was able to hang with Robinson for most of the match, but eventually fell to his guile (and a little bit of cheating).

The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) defeated Cyclone Negro & Dick "Bulldog" Brower in 6 minutes in a successful return to northern California. Sika pinned Brower after a Samoan drop.

"It's good to be back, brah," Afa said afterwards. "We're glad to see all the fans here, and look forward to wrestling for them at all the shows!"

Bugsy McGraw defeated the Gladiator in 2 minutes. The Gladiator attacked before the match started, but Mcgraw quickly put him away with an atomic drop and big elbowdrop.

"I beat people quick, you see," McGraw said after the match. "I ain't wastin' no time, you see. That's why it's time for me to take on Billy Robinson, the TV Champ. I'm gonna' be the champ of ABC, NBC, CBS, I'll even be the PBS champ and take the title to Sesame Street!"

Renner ran down the card for September 28th at the Cow Palace:

United States Champion Pat Patterson & ??? vs. World Television Champion Billy Robinson & ???
The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) vs. Black Gordman & Great Goliath
Hiro Matsuda vs. The "Intelligent, Sensational" Destroyer
Bugsy McGraw vs. Alexis Smirnoff
Samula & Kelly Kiniski vs. Mad Dog Vachon & Baron von Raschke

Black Gordman & Great Goliath defeated Samula & Dean Ho in 11 minutes when Gordman made Ho submit to a modified abdominal stretch. The punishment would have continued, but Afa and Sika ran out to restore order.

United States Champion Pat Patterson defeated "Crazy" Chris Colt in 4 minutes with a figure-four leglock. Patterson completely outclassed Colt in this matchup.

"Next week, I'm going to unveil my partner for the Cow Palace," Patterson said postmatch. "And let me tell you, Robinson, you will go banana when you find out who he is!"

Liked the Robinson/Kiniski match-up. The Samoans being faces and talking was awesome. The PBS line by Bugsy was priceless. Too bad for Ho. G & G better get ready.

Great action in Sacramento.
