Today's show opens with with a shot of the letters AWA Mid-South Championship Wrestlingwith action clips of Mid-South stars as North American Heavyweight Champ the Masked Assassin, the Mid-South Tag Team Champs The Shiek & Abdullah the Butcher, Louisiana Heavyweight Champ Junkyard Dog, "Killer" Karl Kox, Mid-South Jr. H. Champ Tony Charles, Louisiana Tag Team Champs Ken Lucas & Ricky Gibson, The Spoiler with manager "Playboy" Gary Hart, Mr. Wrestling, The Manchurians w/mgr. Percy Pringle III and AWA World Champs Chief Wahoo McDaniel, tag team champs the Brisco Brothers and jr. champ TIger Mask before the Mid-South logo hits the screen as we fade to the studio desk with the announcing team of "Cowboy" Bill Watts and Boyd Pierce.
 
Bill announces that they have two big announcements today.. On Wednesday Oct. 4 in the Mississippi Fairgrounds Coliseum in Jackson, Miss, El Canek defeated the Assassin 1# (Jody Hamilton) for the AWA North American Heavyweight Belt. And Thursday Oct. 5 in New Orleans at the Municiple Auditorium, 'Dirty' Dick Murdoch & 'Killer' Karl Kox defeated Mid-South Tag Team Champs Abdullah the Butcher & The Shiek for the belts before a sell-out crowd of 7, 853. All four men will be here today as well as Louisiana Heavyweight Champ Junkyard Dog and others.
 
Bill runs downs today's tv card including some important highlights from area matches. Bill & Boyd welcome Louisiana Heavyweight Champ Junkyard Dog to join them for today's matches.
 
Out of nowhere comes manager Percy Peingle III who says he has a special announcment. He wants to introduce the newest member of the Pringle Dynasty joining El Satanico is fellow Mexican rudo Pirata Mogan. Percy says they will known as the Los Infernales.They go to the ring for their first match together in Mid-South.
 
1. First Match. Four Man Tag Team Match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit. Los Infernales w/mgr. Percy Pringle III whip Rickie Fields & Terry Latham. (4:59). Morgan catches Latham in the Pirata Lock (crossface/scissored armbar combination) for the submission win.
 
Following the match, 'Playboy' Gary Hart calls out the new Mid-South Tag Team Champs 'Dirty' Dick Murdoch & 'Killer' Karl Kox and challenges them to meet the Spoiler 1# (Don Jardine) & 'Maniac' Mark Lewin today on TV. Matchmaker 'Grizzly' Smith comes out and talks to Hart, Murdoch & Kox. Gary want's a title match. Smith asks Dick & Karl if that is okay with them. They have 30 days to defend the belts. Hart calls them chicken champs. Dick tells 'Grizzly' to make the match.

2 Second Match. Four Man Tag Team Match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit. Abdullah the Butcher & The Shiek lost  by disq. to the team of Butch Malone & Levi Banks in a quick massacre. Shiek had Banks in the camel clutch and Abdullah was relentlessly using the fork on Malone with both men refusuing to follow the rules at the 3:13 mark.

3. Single Match Non-title match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit. New North American Heavyweight Champ El Canek owtwrestled Snake  Brown for the win at the 7:43 mark with a gorilla press and pin.
 
Back at the desk, an angry Assassin 1# with Rock Hunter claims he was robbed in Jackson and he demands a return title match right here on Mid-South TV. Watts tells them to talke to 'Grizzly' Smith about it. Assassin 1# says El Canek will sorry he cross paths with the Assassin.

4. Fourth Match. Mid-South Tag Team Championship Match. TV time remaining. (Champs): 'Dirty' Dick Murdoch & 'Killer' Karl Kox  drop tag belts to (Challs): the Spoiler 1# (Don Jardine) & 'Maniac' Mark Lewin when Spoiler pins Murdoch with the claw at the 9:45 mark. Before the start of the match, Murdoch & Kox are on their way to the ring when Abdullah the Butcher & The Shiek with/,mgr ? Rick Hunter attack the champs out side of the ring. They post Murdoch and doublle team Kox who is unable to wrestle. A bloodied Murdoch says he will defend the belts alone despite an offer from Junkyard Dog. After the conclusion of the match, a bandaged Kox runs out the dressin room with a 2x4 and nails Hart from the back before hitting Lewis & Spoiler before the retreat to the dressing room. Ring officals come out to help Murdoch while Kox guards him with his 2x 4.

Before we close out today's show, Bill airs highlights from a women's match held in Tulsa back on Sept. 23 between Sherri Martel of New Orleans and Lelani Kai. Bill says the board will review the film and send it to Verne Gagne and the AWA Board about what happrned to day. Watts says he wonders if Hart and Hunter are now in cahoots as Abby & Shiek haven't had a manager with them here since winning the tag belts. Tune in week for more AWA Mi-South Wrestling.

Boy, it is a different of of team than Percy is used to but a brutal one, nonetheless. Too bad for Kox and Murdoch. Canek really did something special when he beat Assassin #1. Now, can he keep it.
