MEMORIAL GYM
ROME, GEORGIA OCTOBER 18, 1982 7 PM
REFEREE: SCRAPPY MCGOWAN
 
THE CHEETAH KID defeats BARRY HOROWITZ with a flying body press off a criss-cross @ 6:59.
 
JERRY GREY/TONY ZANE defeat BILLY FRANCIS/RICKY RICKARD when Grey atomic drops Rickard into a flying clothesline from Zane @ 8:50.
 
BOBO BRAZIL w/SPIKE HUBER defeats NORVELL AUSTIN w/RANDY ROSE with a coco butt after Austin misses a diving head butt @ 10:02.
 
All four men fight to the locker room after the match.
 
GRUDGE MATCH
MR. WRESTLING II defeats MAD DOG BUZZ SAWYER when the sneakiness of Sawyer comes back to haunt him. Sawyer takes off a turnbuckle pad during the match. Wrestling II hot shots Sawyer into the exposed metal, later. II hits the million dollar knee lift on a bloody Sawyer @ 16:33.

AWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
JACK/JERRY BRISCO vs. OLE/ARN ANDERSON w/GENE ANDERSON
The Briscos hurt the right knee of Arn Anderson in this one. It helps them immensely with winning the match. With Ole and Jack fighting on the floor and Gene out from a shot from Jack, Arn lifts Jerry into position for a face first suplex. The knee buckles. Jerry shifts his weight down and hooks on a backslide, pinning the younger Anderson @ 25:00.

Really good house show here...Great opener between two great youngsters...I really liked putting Zane/Grey together when I had Alabama, I would love to see them have some success...The Bobo/Huber vs MX feud continues to go back and forth...Any time Mr. II wins is a great night!  I know Arn is young, but my money is on The Andersons to eventually unseat the Briscos...Fantastic work Johnny!

Bit of a short evening out, but the fans would also be reliving the Mad Dog's come-uppance for sure.  Might have been a good night to have the the ladies or little fellows on.
