**Sprach Zarathrustra plays the Pankrationist Statue rotates 360 degrees while Championship Wrestling is shown over it. The scene fades to Lance Russell & Dave Brown behind the announce desk. **

Russell:  Yeeeeeellllllloooooo again and we welcome you to another exciting edition of Championship Wrestling.  Heeeeeeyyyy what a busy week we have had and what a great show we have lined up for ya.  And here’s our old friend Davey to tell us all about it.

Brown:  Yes indeed, Lance.  This week, we hope to come to some kind of resolution that will allow The King to wrestle here again and Jerry Jarrett to again run the CWA.  Both The King and Jerry are here today and will meet with Jim Cornette and Andy Kaufman.  Also, we will hear from The Dutchman, Austin Idol, Mid-American Champion, Sgt. Slaughter, The Rock-n-Roll Express, and the return of the Gilberts, Tommy & Eddie.  We will see Hulk Hogan, Southern Champion, Dr. D David Schultz, and Dutch Mantell in action.  And in our main event, Former AWA World Champion, Nick Bockwinkel, will take on Tommy “Wildfire” Rich in a 2/3 falls match.  Lance, we have quite the show today!

Russell:  Boooooooooyyyy howdy Davey!  We have a reeeeeeeal hum dinger of a line-up today!  Heeeeeeyyyyyy I can’t wait for that main event!  Weeeeeeeellllll fans, look who we have here.  Our old friends Tommy and Eddie Gilbert are back!

Tommy:  Lance, it’s good to be back home!  The first thing I need to do is apologize to the good people of Memphis.  Last time we were here, I was a real jerk.  I started the whole Letterman club thing and really embarrassed myself and my family.  I thought at the time it was the right move for me and Eddie, but now I regret the whole thing.  I hope everyone can forgive me.  Eddie and I love the people here and we want to ask them all to give the Gilberts a chance to earn their trust back.

Russell:  Tommy, I am sure the fans will take you both back with open arms.  Eddie, how have you been and what have you been up to?

Eddie:  Thanks, Lance.  Boy, I have been travelling all over recently.  I spent a lot of time in New York while Dad was in Alabama.  I have wrestled a lot of Junior Heavyweights, but now I just want to team with Dad again and see if we can win some tag team gold.  That is the least we can do for the good people of the CWA.  And thanks to Mr. Coffey, we will get our first chance on Monday Night against the Midnight Express.  They have been defending their Titles and have turned back all challenges for a while now.  At the Mid-South Coliseum I believe we can take those belts with these wonderful fans behind us.

Russell:  Tommy, Eddie, good luck to you both and I believe we may see new Southern Tag Team Champions on Monday Night.  Heeeeeeey, our first match is in the ring.

Match 1
Non-Title
Southern Champion, Dr. D David Schultz def. Gary Royal with a piledriver

Russell:  Wooooooooow, that Schultz is one tough customer!  Ohhhhhhhh great, here he comes.  Sgt. Slaughter and his Privates.

Slaughter:  ATTENTION!  LANCE RUSSELL!  SUCK IN THAT GUT!  STAND UP STRAIGHT!  PAY ATTENTION MAGGOT!  I AM THE MID-AMERICA CHAMPION!  I RAN THAT LITTLE MIDGET OUT OF MEMPHIS AND NOW HE IS OFF SOMEWHERE TRYING TO FIND HIMSELF WITH A BRAND NEW HAIRCUT!  BUT BEFORE I TALK ABOUT ME, I NEED TO TALK ABOUT MY PRIVATES.  I HAVE WORKED MY PRIVATES HARD.  MANY TIMES MY PRIVATES TRIED TO LAY DOWN ON THE JOB, BUT I ALWAYS WHIPPED THEM INTO SHAPE!  I HAVE PUT MY PRIVATES THROUGH A LOT, BUT THEY ARE ALL THE BETTER FOR IT!  NOW, THEY WILL FACE THEIR TOUGHEST CHALLENGE YET.  MONDAY NIGHT, THEY ARE GOING TO BE FACING THOSE PRETTY BOY HIPPIES, THE ROCK-N-ROLL EXPRESS.  I EXPECT MY PRIVATES TO POUND THOSE PRETTY BOYS INTO THE GROUND AND I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS!  NOW, ON TO ME.  SINCE RUNNING DUNDEE OFF, I HAVEN’T HAD ANYONE BRAVE ENOUGH TO STEP UP AND CHALLENGE ME.  I WISH THERE WAS ONE GOOD CHALLENGER TO STEP UP AND CHALLENGE ME.  IN FACT, IF ANYONE IS BRAVE ENOUGH TO CHALLENGE ME RIGHT NOW, I WILL DEFEND MY TITLE AGAINST THEM MONDAY NIGHT AT THE MID-SOUTH COLISEUM.  (At this time, the studio crowd rises to it’s feet and cheers wildly)

Rich:  Lemme tell ya sumthin Sar-gent Slaughtah.  Ah ain’t scared of you and Ah wanna get a shot at that belt.  You been runnin roughshod over errybody here and it’s time sumbody shut that big Gomer Pyle mouth of yours.  And Ah bahlieve ah’m tha man for tha job!

Slaughter:  RICH, YOU LONG HAIRED HIPPIE!  I WILL BE GLAD TO SEND YOU AWAY JUST LIKE YOUR LITTLE MIDGET BUDDY, DUNDEE.  AND WHEN I BEAT YOU, I WILL GIVE YOU A CREW CUT TOO!  (Slaughter and his privates leave the interview area).

Russell:  Boooooooy Tommy, you have your work cut out for you!  Bockwinkel today and Slaughter Monday Night.

Rich:  Lance, it’s time that that sumbody stands up to these bullies and Ah’m the man for tha job!

Russell:  Weeeeeellll, good luck Tommy and we’re pullin for ya.  Heeeeeeyy, The Dutchman is in the ring.

Match 2
Dutch Mantell def. Gene Ligon with a Russian leg sweep

Russell:  Heeeeyyyy let’s bring in the Dutchman.  Dutch, last week you lost the Southern Title to Schultz in a veeeeeeeery controversial match.

Mantell:  Yes, Lance I did.  It took several of them to beat me, but I ain’t out here cryin over spilled milk.  The fact of the matter is that Cornette and Kaufman are trying to build an army to overthrow the rest of us.  Maybe some of my other friends don’t see it, but I do.  I ain’t always fought on the right side of the fence, so I see where this is heading.  If we don’t unite, we will all be taken out one by one.  (At this time, Cornette, Kaufman, Mohammed, Schultz, and Bockwinkel come out and surround Mantell).

Cornette:  Yeah Chewbacca, where are your friends?  We beat you last week, now we get rid of you for good!  (Cornette’s thugs close in…Just when it looks bleak for Mantell, a door crashes open and the fans cheer as Austin Idol, with a bandaged face and carrying an axe handle rushes the scene.  As soon as Cornette and his cronies see him, they split!)

Idol:  Dutch, you are right!  We have got to ban together!  And I promise you, the Idol and Minerva have your back!

Mantell:  Minerva?

Idol:  That’s right Dahlin!  My little friend right here, Minerva!  And she would just love to get a hold of Cornette, Kaufman, and their creeps!  We are a united front and we will not be bullied anymore!  And Ric Flair, you are mine this Monday Night in a lumberjack match!  I will get my revenge! (Idol and Mantell shake hands and walk off together).

Russell:  Heeeeeeey now we will see how tough Cornette’s men are!  Weeeeeeellll, here comes the popular team of Rrrrrrrick Morton and Rrrrrrrobert Gibson, the Rrrrrrrock-n-Rrrrrrroll Express!  Rrrrrick, you two have been doing quite well!

Morton:  Well, thank you Lance.  Yes, Robert and I have had some real big wins lately.  We had some trouble with the Freebirds, but once we evened the odds, we came out on top.  Now, it seems like those Privates of Slaughter want a piece of us.  All we can say is bring em on.  We are on our way to the top and we will take on anybody we have to in order to get a shot at those Southern Tag Team Titles.  We’re young, we’re quick, and we’re ready!  Ain’t that right Robert?

Gibson:  That’s right brotha

Morton:  Woooooooooo!

Russell:  Booooooooy those kids are headed straight to the top!  Heeeeeeeeey, our next match is in the ring.

Match 3
Hulk Hogan def. Mike Fever with a crushing bear hug

Cornette:  Hello Banana nose!  Keep wearing that suit, it’ll come back into style eventually.  And nice wig, how many squirrels did you have to kill to make it?  Anyway, today is a great day for Andy and myself.  Before I call Lawler and Jarrett out here, I would like to bring out Hulk Hogan and The Nature Boy, Ric Flair.

Cornette:  Gentlemen, Andy and I have been watching you both and we would like to offer you the opportunity to join our alliance.  In these envelopes are contracts with a signing bonus enclosed.  (Hogan and Flair both look inside the envelopes and agree to join up with Cornette and Kaufman).  Mr. Hogan, Mr. Flair, you have both made wise decisions.  Now, at this time, I want to ask Jerry Jarrett and Jerry Lawler to join us. (Jarrett and Lawler approach the desk to the cheers of the fans).

Jarrett:  Gentlemen, thank you for having us out here.  Now, what can we do to make things right again?  Would you like apologies from us?

Cornette:  Apologies?  Yeah, sure, let’s hear your apologies.

Jarrett:  Mr. Kaufman, I am truly sorry for deceiving you and beating you up in the ring.

Lawler:  Jimmy, I am sorry for pie facing you and causing you to fall out here.

Cornette:  You call those apologies?  Please!  That is unacceptable!  Andy, tell these idiots what we plan to do.

Kaufman:  Thank you Mr. Cornette.  It seems to me that Mr. Jarrett and Mr. Lawler still are not taking us seriously.  James, am I one of the most famous Hollywood actors?  And isn’t your mother one of the richest women in the country?

Cornette:  Why, yes Andy.  Both of those facts are true.

Kaufman:  Then this is what we are going to do.  We are going to purchase channel 5 and in the place of “rasslin” I will present an hour and a half improvisational comedy show with my friends from “Taxi.”  Just think, Danny DeVito, Marilou Henner, Tony Danza, Christopher Loyd, and the rest of the cast presenting a show even greater than Saturday Night Live.  And while we are at it, we should buy the Mid-South Coliseum and turn it into a comedy theatre.  Can you imagine it?  No more “rasslin” in Memphis!  We will get our attorneys on this immediately!

Lawler:  Woah, hold on there.  You can’t do that to the people of Memphis!  They love wrestling and have loved wrestling for a very long time.  There must be a way we can resolve this other than cheating the fans out of their wrestling.  I will do anything to keep that from happening.

Cornette:  Anything?

Lawler:  Anything.

Cornette and Kaufman conference.

Cornette:  Does anything mean crowning me King of Memphis and allowing Andy the chance to defend his Inter-gender Title here?

Lawler:  If that’s what it takes, then….yes.  But, how about we make it more interesting.  What if your men take on a team that I put together with the stakes being my crown, the Mid-South Coliseum, and channel 5?

Cornette:  That doesn’t seem to be enough for the embarrassment you and Jarrett have caused us.  I know, if my team wins, we get all of that plus, you and Jarrett have to kiss the feet of me and Andy?  That sounds good to me.  We’ll make it a 10 man match with Flair, Hogan, Schultz, Bockwinkel, and a mystery man I have coming in beginning November 3rd against you and any four wrestlers who you can find?

Lawler:  Okay, if that is what it takes we will do it.  (At this point, Cornette’s crew begins pushing Lawler and Jarrett  around as Cornette and Kaufmen cheer them on.  Just then, Austin Idol (with Minerva), Dutch Mantell, and Tommy Rich hit the scene.  There is a stand-off between the teams).

Cornette:  Lawler, it is agreed then.  Next week, I will pick what kind of match it will be!

Russell:  Ooooooooookay gentlemen, we need to get Nick and Tommy in the ring for our main event.

Match 4
2/3 falls or TV time remaining
Tommy Rich vs Nick Bockwinkel

This match turns into an impromptu lumberjack match as both sides remain at ringside.  Rich and Bockwinkel wrestle for several minutes with the action going back and forth.  When Rich gets a decided advantage, Cornette’s creeps hit the ring followed by the King’s court.  They beat the stuffing out of each other with Idol seeking revenge on Flair for rubbing his face into the floor last week, Lawler going after Hogan, Mantell taking on Schultz, and Rich and Bockwinkel continuing their fight.  The war continues for several minutes until Russell says our time is up and we are told to tune in next week for more on the big match that was proposed today.

Great 10 man match coming but I am worried that The King's Court may be taking on too much. Mike, that Privates promo was, gotta say it, memorable! Rich and Bockwinkel was a great main. Is anybody going to be unaffiliated with Cornette/Kauffman?

Great show.
