MACON COLISEUM
MACON, GEORGIA OCTOBER 23, 1982 7 PM
REFEREE: SCRAPPY MCGOWAN
 
TONY ZANE defeats BLACK MARVEL with a bent knee backbreaker @ 6:49.
 
BARRY HOROWITZ defeats TED PETTY with a flying clothesline @ 8:25.
 
BUZZ SAWYER defeats NICK BUSICK by putting his feet on the ropes during a corner tie up @ 10:04.
 
NON-TITLE MATCH
SUPERSTAR BILLY GRAHAM defeats COWBOY RON BASS w/SIR OILVER HUMPERDINK after Graham gets his knees up on a middle rope splash from Bass. Graham drops Bass with a gut buster that leads to a pin @ 13:55.
 
Bass and Humperdink quickly leave the ring area. Graham poses for the fans.

AWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
WAHOO MCDANIEL © vs. MASKED SUPERSTAR
‘Star keys in on McDaniel’s right arm and the chops aren’t quite as effective late. A rally by the champ, though, has the masked man slumped on the ropes. Superstar loads his mask. He is caught by McGowan. No matter. The challenger presses the advantage. McDaniel is bloodied from some stiff head butts but retains the title, getting a DQ win @ 30:12.

Real good house show...Tony Zane with a very nice win...Good match between the two youngsters, Horowitz & Petty...Sawyer looked good...SBG may have Bass' number...Wahoo/Superstar always had great matches IRL...Fine work Johnny!

I would have definitely enjoyed this house show.  Especially the last two matches.  Wahoo vs. Superstar is a great rivalry especially considering their connection in the real wrestling universe!  I'm sure everyone knows what I am referring to, right?   Wink

Break up team Horowuz!  I think he's batting around .500 of late!
 
Same reaction as above - solid with excellent card-topper matches.  Sawyer been acting a bit tamer, lately?  A good test for Nick Busick.
