Mad Dog Vachon & Baron von Raschke defeated Samula & Kelly Kiniski in 11 minutes when Vachon pinned Samula after two piledrivers. Samula had been weakened and bloodied by Raschke's clawhold, but still gamely kicked out after the first piledriver.

Before the next match, the “Fabulous” Luke Graham hit the ring and attacked Bugsy McGraw as he came to the ring. He delivered a bodyslam on the concrete, as well as a couple of blows with a set of knuckledusters.

Bugsy McGraw defeated Alexis Smirnoff in 6 minutes following a bodyslam and big elbowdrop. Smirnoff worked over McGraw's bloodied forehead, including biting the cut. McGraw fed off the crowd's energy to power back for the win.

World Television Champion Billy Robinson & King King Bundy (with the Grand Wizard) defeated United States Heavyweight Champion Pat Patterson & Ray “The Crippler” Stevens in 22 minutes when Bundy pinned Patterson. Bundy hit the U.S. Champ with the avalanche, while Robinson held Stevens' leg to keep him from getting back in the ring and saving him. Bundy then pinned Patterson following a running splash off the ropes.

INTERMISSION

The “Intelligent, Sensational” Destroyer came out for his scheduled match, but announced that he had come down with a bad case of “wrestler's block, and simply couldn't compete. He even claimed to have a doctor's note. However, he did offer a replacement for tonight.

Hiro Matsuda defeated “Wild” Bill Irwin (with the Destroyer) in 13 minutes with a schoolboy. Matsuda had Irwin in the sleeperhold when the Destroyer got up on the ring apron. He released the hold and moved towards him. Irwin rose and went for a lariat, but Matsuda moved, and he knocked the Destroyer off the apron.

Postmatch, Matsuda dragged the Destroyer into the ring and tore his mask off. He sprinted to the back, covering his face with his shirt.

The Wild Samoans (Afa & Sika) defeated Black Gordman & Great Goliath in 18 minutes when Sika pinned Gordman after a double diving headbutt.

Interesting booking to have the Stevens/Patterson vs. Robinson/Bundy match just before intermission.  I would have thought that was your Main Event for this card.  Samoans battling Gordman & Goliath was definitely a match to watch!

Overall, a sold 90 rating on this show.

I try to follow the old WWWF model and have the house shows end with the fans happy. The Samoans are being set up as my top face team, so they get the slot. I'd have used Bugsy, but I don't really want him in long singles matches.

Great Cow Palace card!  The opener went as expected, but Kiniski & Samula put in a good effort...McGraw made a nice come back to defeat Smirnoff...Bundy more than lived up to the hype and was very impressive...Destroyer needs help...Big surprise with Matsuda beating Irwin...I completely understand the Samoans going on last...The Samoan population in the area were rabid fans and the result would have had them cheering wildly...Fantastic card Brian!

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience!

Patterson getting pinned by Bundy the way he did would have been the talk of the intermission. The Samoans beating the veteran Gordman and Goliath would have been the talk of the parking lot. The Destroyer program continues. Wrestler's block? Now, that's a new one. Matsuda with a no-nonsense response. Love Bundy in the man of the people role.

PWF continues to roll.

You had the card set up all wrong!  Oh wait, its called YOU be the Booker...never mind.  Cool that you addressed the reason, that WWWF style is well documented, but always catches me by surprise.

I certainly don't think the Patterson/Stevens/Bundy/Robinson is near done.

See!  Anywhere else I can just type "the ME".

A good show.  I like the way your report covers the whole show including the pre- & post-match incidentals which are key.
