Bob and David take a step back and go to the ring for the next contest. Butch Miller and Luke Williams with New Zealand flag in tow versus Chris Hamrick and Tracy Smothers Miller and Williams have little problem with the young team, making an example out of the young team. The have pin after pin that they could take for the win but pulled their opponents at two. Miller posts young Hamrick whose face turns into a bloody mask. Gadaski calls for the disqualification. Weaver and Royal say that they are going to the ring and leave the interview area. The Kiwi’s stop their attack look at Nelson and Johnny. The two teams face off until Weaver picks up the bloody Hamrick off of the floor and puts on the Weaver Lock on Hamrick. Royal, Williams and Miller lay the boots to Smothers as Weaver smiles as he wills Chris go limp in his arms. Weaver lets Hamrick fall to concrete floor and joins the four on one beat down in the ring. Rick Steamboat, Ivan Putski and Jay Youngblood rush into the ring to save the Smothers as the Kiwi’s, Royal and Weaver head for the interview area. Bob Caudle asks Johnny Weaver why he and Royal attacked those young wrestlers. Weaver says it is really simple. He and Royal have helped these youngsters get there feet wet. Everyone here in Mid Atlantic needs to realize that THEY are here, and THEY are going to take what they deserve. That is the hide of those two punks in the ring we have been calling out for weeks. Youngblood and Steamboat, everyone says that you are the best, uncrowned champions. Prove it. Get in the ring with us. You have chased the Russians and dodged us. Steamboat and Youngblood are nodding in the ring, as Johnny tells them NEXT WEEK on TV these four men are gonna lock horns and we will see who the better team is. COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos Bob and David are in shock after what just happened in the ring but they are joined by the NWA World Heavyweight Champion ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes. Dusty says that he has missed the Carolina’s and Virginia’s so much. Dusty is going to make it a habit to come here more often. Dusty wants to tell all of the fans that next week he will be in the ring. David says that will be a treat for all of the fans. He also heard that in Cincinnati that he will have a mandatory title defense against former NWA World Champion Harley Race. He and Harley have fought all over the world and now they will fight for Dusty’s NWA World Heavyweight Title. Dusty tells Harley to bring his best, because everybody knows that the American Dream will fight for these people. David throws it to the ring. Harley Race versus Al Snow The young rookie Snow has one heck of mountain to climb and falls short in the match. Race hits a top rope head butt for a victory on the young Snow. (Young) Race joins David at ringside and keeps the interview short and sweet. He says that he will be watching Rhodes next week and he best not look twice at him or it will be bad news for the current champ. Jim Crockett comes in and shakes the hand of Harley and takes the mike. He says that next week Nelson Royal and Johnny Weaver will face Rick Steamboat and Jay Youngblood on Television. The winner will face the NWA World Tag Team Champions in Cincinnati on the 9th of October, the loser will also get a match against the Unified Mid Atlantic Tag Team Champions Ivan Kollof and Nikolai Volkoff, who have been defending their bets successfully in Japan and received a hero’s welcome in their home country of Russia. They will be back in two weeks and from what we have been told are even more focused than ever to take on all comers. David thanks his brother and says that they will be back after these messages. COMMERICAL BREAK Bob and David welcome back the fans and go to the ring for the next contest on Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion The Iron Sheik with Iranian flag in tow and his manager Waldo Von Erich carrying the Mid Atlantic Six Man Tag Trophy versus RT Tyler The Sheik is getting it from the crowd, a USA chant followed by an Uncle Sam which makes him leave the ring. The Sheik threatens to leave the arena unless ‘Stupid Americans Shut Up.’ Von Erich gets his wrestler back in the right state of mind and catches Tyler with a big Butterfly Suplex followed up by a Camel Clutch that makes Tyler scream Uncle. The Mid Atlantic Champ and his manager with flag belt and trophy in tow come to the interview area where David Crockett stirs it up again by showing a clip from last week of the masked Jim Duggan pinning the Iranian. Sheik says that he was distracted, the lights were in his eyes and he wasn’t feeling well. Von Erich says that he has the best litigators that money can buy to keep the Mid Atlantic Champion out of the cage in Cincinnati on the 9th of October. Duggan got lucky once but he won’t get lucky again because the superior wrestler and the superior athlete is The Iron Sheik, your Mid Atlantic Heavyweight Champion and part of the Mid Atlantic Six Man Tag Team Champions. David tells the fans the TV title will be defended next on Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling. COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos Bob welcomes the fans back and the action has already started in the Mid Atlantic Television Title match between…. Mid Atlantic Television Champion The Mighty Igor versus Jumbo Tsuruta with JJ Dillon Tsuruta is unable to lift the big man and use his suplexes that are his calling card but kick and chops back the big man up, for a moment. Igor at the twelve minute mark of the match has the big man up for a slam when Tsuruta finds the back door and gets out. Amazingly Jumbo picks up and Igor and delivers a release Belly to Back Suplex that takes away the breath of everyone in the arena. Igor gets back to his unsteady feet when he is met by a vicious kick to the head which leads to a pinfall and a new Mid Atlantic Television Champion. (Gadaski) Tsuruta and Dillon celebrate in the ring and they are joined soon thereafter by Paul Jones. Dillon walks to the interview area with his men saying that both of his men will have gold soon around there waist, quit running from Mister Number One Allen.
