TV Highlights
Interviews:

-The Freebirds make their debut appearance and are interviewed.  Hayes and Gordy are with Thatcher.  Hayes says he grew up in this area, being from Pensacola.  He says he first met Gordy here and this is where they planned their careers.  Hayes says that Buddy Roberts is the third Freebird and will be here soon.  Hayes says the Freebirds want the Grapplers and the CCW titles.  He says they will take on anyone, including Fuller and Golden and their opponents tonight, the Samoans.  The fans take to the Freebirds quickly and Hayes reacts to their response in a positive way.

-CCW Champion, Bob Orton Jr., and his manager, Sonny King, talk about how he has beaten Bob Armstrong and Ron Fuller.  Tonight he gets a young kid in Terry Taylor.  He says it’s sad to see a career ended so early, but CCW shouldn’t send a boy to do a man’s job.

-Bob Armstrong and Ron Fuller come out.  Armstrong says Brad is healing nicely, but is still a few weeks from coming back.  He says that he will not stop coming after the Grapplers until they have paid for hurting his son.  Ron says that the Armstrongs are good friends of his and he will do anything to help Bob and Brad.

-Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden are out next.  They talk about not only beating Mr. Olympia for the Alabama State title, but also taking his mask.  Robert says he will take both tonight in Birmingham.  Golden says he will be ringside to make sure that none of Olympia’s friends interfere.

-Brian Adidas says that CCW has been so good to him and that he will get his first title match tonight at the Boutwell Auditorium when he faces Les Thornton for the US Jr. title.  He says that Thornton is one of the best wrestlers in the world and that it will be tough to beat him, but he will give it his best shot.  He hopes he can come through for the fans that have been behind him.

-Don Carson is out and says that they have gotten rid of one Armstrong and tonight they will get rid of another one.  He says that Armstrong can’t think straight because he keeps thinking of his snot nosed punk kid.  Armstrong hit the scene and Carson hits the road.

Great arrival for The Freebirds and an impressive win over The Samoans in Birmingham. The Grapplers and Carson may regret the day they crossed the Armstrongs. King and Orton, Jr. make a dynamite team and CCW may be in store for a long reign. Olympia and Fuller/Golden look to be a great rivalry.

Good show.

Real good TV and house show...I like the combination of youth and experience here...Love the way you are bringing along Rood...Frazier looked good...I might like the face 'Birds, but how long can they stay good...Thornton still looks good...Olympia needs some back-up at all times...I agree with Johnny, The Grapplers are going to get theirs..Orton fits in so good here...Nice work Anna!

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience!

This has such a realistic feel.  There have been changes but the knack for everything seeming to fit continues.

Samoans playing victims to the 'Birds might have consequences.  I have liked how Ravishing Rick has been played - a little success here makes me wonder what is in store a month or so from now.

Always a good show.
