11/10 & 11/17 CWA TV & MSC's
Nov 16th, 2012, 1:05pm

Sorry for the short format for these two shows.  It’s been a busy week and the coming week doesn’t look any slower.  Hopefully by next weekend things will be less busy and I can go back to my regular format.

11/10 TV

Jerry Jarrett:
Jerry thanks Lawler and his partners for defeating Cornette’s Criminals.  He announces that Cornette and Kaufman have left the CWA and Cornette has taken his Midnight Express with him.  Therefore, the Southern Tag Team Titles are vacant.  A tournament will be set up to fill the void.  Also, Jarrett announces that AWA World Champion, Wahoo McDaniel, will defend his Title Monday Night at the Mid-South Coliseum.  With Manny Fernandez being the International Champion and him not available to be in Memphis on Monday, today’s main event will pit the Southern Champion, Dr. D David Schultz, against the Mid-America Champion, Tommy Rich, to determine who will wrestle for the AWA World Title on Monday Night.  (Tommy Rich def. David Schultz 2 falls to 1)

Jerry Lawler:
Lawler states that now that the whole Cornette incident is over, he can focus on his promise to win the AWA World Title by the end of the year or he will retire.  He says that winning the International Title back from Manny Fernandez is the key.  Ric Flair interrupts Lawler and tells him that he doesn’t have what it takes to be a World Champion.  Flair offers to let Lawler see what a real World Champion looks like and challenges The King to a match Monday Night.  Lawler accepts immediately.

Tommy Rich:
(Following his match with Schultz) Tommy says he respects Wahoo and is really looking forward to their match for the AWA World Title Monday Night.  He recalls Wahoo as one of the men who helped him break into the business, along with Lawler, Jackie Fargo, & Mr. Wrestling I & 2.  Rich says he expects a good, clean match.

Jimmy Hart:
Gloats about fooling the fans and Lawler.  He says he was paid a lot of money to throw the match against Kaufman and he is using that money to rebuild the First Family.  Hart announces the first member as Macho Man Randy Savage.  Savage comes out and talks about not allowing Lawler to reach his goal of being AWA World Champion.  He says that since Flair has Lawler Monday Night, he wants Dutch Mantell.

Austin Idol:
Idol makes it known that he wants to win some gold in CWA.  He asked for a match against Schultz for the Southern Title Monday Night and it has been granted to him.  Idol reminds the fans that Wahoo cheated him the last time they met and he wants to use the Southern Title to get a rematch for the AWA World Title.

Tommy & Eddie Gilbert
The Gilberts throw their name in the hat for the Southern Tag Team tournament.  They say they are ready for some gold.  The Rock-n-Roll Express come out and say they want to be in the tournament as well.

(The Rock-n-Roll Express def. The Gilberts 2 falls to 1)

Jerry Lawler:
Announces that his chance to win back the International Title will be Monday Night at the Mid-South Coliseum.  He says that Fernandez is tough, but he is standing between Jerry and his destiny.  He promises the fans that he will once again be the International champion.

Kareem Mohammed:
Says he is on his own now and is determined to destroy anyone who walks into his path.  He challenges the loser of the main event today to meet him in a handicap match.  Later in the show, the Gilberts accept the challenge.

Ric Flair:
States that he is not through with Austin Idol, even though the Cornette situation is done.  He says now that Idol is the Southern Champion, Flair wants him even more.  Flair challenges Idol to a Title match Monday Night.  Idol comes out and accepts the challenge.  Each man insults the other and a wild brawl takes place.  Several wrestlers from the back have to break apart the melee.

Jimmy Hart:
Hart talks about the First Family gaining more and more strength.  He states that with Savage, he has the future of wrestling, but he wants more.  He announces that he has signed the Memphis Spoiler due to his impressive performance last Monday.  Hart warns that he plans on signing more talent that will allow him to dominate the wrestling World.  Savage then issues a challenge to Tommy Rich for the Mid-America Title.  Rich later accepts.

The Rock-n-Roll Express:
Talk about how tough the Gilberts were and say that Tommy & Eddie could beat any team at any time.  They say they feel fortunate to have won the match.  They state that they are looking forward to meeting the Briscos Monday Night.  They hope they can pull off the biggest win of their careers and be crowned the new AWA World Tag Team Champions.

I am wondering how Bockwinkel and Hogan are going to rebound from those two decisive loses. Like the new First Family. Seems like just the type of stable Hart would manage. Flair and idol is a marquee match-up considering their whole personas. Like the heel edgy Briscos. Great match between Wahoo and Rich. Never count out Jerry Lawler.

Great stuff, Mike.
