AWA Mid-South tv 11-3. Six man brawl!

AWA Mid-South Championship Wrestling  
Taped Friday, Nov. 2, 1982 (aired 11-3-82)  
at the Irish McNeil Boy's Club in Sherveport, La.  
 
The show opens with video action clips of Mid-South stars North American Heavyweight Champ the Masked El Canek, the Mid-South Tag Team Champs The Spoiler & 'Maniac' Mark Lewis w/mgr. 'Playboy' Gary Hart, Louisiana Heavyweight Champ Junkyard Dog, 'Dirty' Dick Murdoch & "Killer" Karl Kox, Mid-South Jr. H. Champ Tony Charles,  Mr. Wrestling Tim Woods, The Los Infernales w/mgr. Percy Pringle III, The Assassins (Jody Hamilton & Roger Smith) w/mgr. Rock Hunter and AWA World Champs Chief Wahoo McDaniel, tag team champs the Brisco Brothers and jr. champ Tiger Mask before the Mid-South logo hits the screen as we fade to the studio desk with the announcing team of "Cowboy" Bill Watts and Boyd Pierce.
 
Before the matches begin, Watts presents a taped interview with AWA World's Heavyweight Champ Wahoo McDaniel who is coming in November back to Mid-South. McDaniel talks about various contenders, except the Junkyard Dog who the champ implies he is not worthy of a title shot.
 
First Match. Single Match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit. Akira Maeda over 'King' Roy Lee Welch with a kick to the head and cover at the 8:59 mark.
 
Commercial break includes interviews for local matches
 
Seond Match. Non-title Four Man Tag Team Match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit. The Masked Challengers by count out over Louisiana Tag Team Champs Los Iinfernales w/mgr. Percy Pringle III when Challenger 1# trapped El Satanico in the sleeper hold and Pringle pulled his team from the ring and took the count out. The Challengers took off the masks to reveal Ken Lucas & Ricky Gibson.
 
Commercial break includes interviews for local matches
 
Third Match. Single Match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit.Assassin 2# w/mgr. Rock Hunter by referee's decision over Otto Wanz at the 8:13 mark who was bleeding after being headbutted 3 times  by the loaded mask of the Assassin.

Before the start of the next match, Bill informs the fans that all fines from the Hunter Organization and Hart Enterprises  
 
Fourth Match. Single Challenge Match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit. The Masked Assassin 1# (Jody Hamilton) w/mgr. Rock Hunter wins by count out over the Spoiler 1# (Don Jardine) w/mgr. 'Playboy' Gary Hart at the 3:21 mark. Hunter pulls down the top rope as Spoiler is bouncing off and he hits the ring floor, hard. Hart begs for time but referee Jerry Usher makes the 10-count. After the match, Assassin 2# joins Hunter & Assassin 1# in the ring as 'Maniac' Mark Lewin comes ringside to join the Spoiler & Hart. They charge the ring and a brawl breaks out. Spoiler throws Assassin 1# out of the ring and posts him. Lewin traps Assassin 2# in the sleeper while Gaty nails Rock with a blackjack and busts him open as we go to a commerial break.

Fifth Match. Single Challenge Match. 1-fall 10-minute time limit. Raymond Rogeau stopped Gino Britto with an inside cradle at the 8:01 mark.

Back at the desk, Bill & Boyd wrap up today's action and remind the fans to tune in next week for more AWA Mid-South Championship Wrestling.

Another good TV...Wahoo doesn't want to meet up with a ticked off JYD...Nice win for Maeda...Maybe the Infernales win was a fluke...Assassin #2 needed to cheat, but still a solid win...Would have loved to see Assassin vs Spoiler...Good win for Rougeau...Great stuff!

Wahoo doesn't need to give JYD any kind of edge. Good win for The Challengers. Looks like Wanz needs to pack up and git. The Assassins won the battle but lost the war. That rivalry really piques my interest.
