Draft Analysis And Commentary Thread
Nov 17th, 2012, 11:50am

Alwways good to have a thread for this on draft day.

The last few drafts have seen me use most of my picks to protect guys on my UPL. Not this time. There are several wrestlers and a few tag teams that I think would really benefit WCCW. I also expect to lose a few guys , maybe Fujinami and the Moondogs or Sweetan. I see Shults, Sawyer, and Kamala as the top picks here.

CWA makes three great picks. They can do a lot with Sawyer and the Assassains and Dream machine were always big in Mempho.

I agree PH. I am pleased to get Tom Pritchard. Some great talents out there as you mentioned. Still not sure who my No. 30 pick will be. Huh

Glad I picked up Shults now since I lost Sweetan to Florida.

Prichard is a great pick. He can work as a babyface or heel. Is a great tag team wrestler. He should do well in Mid South.

Great, now I have to replace Ladd. I have a couple of fellows in mind for that job.  Smiley

Mikey did well in grabbing Fujinami for Stampede. He just built up his Mid-Heavyweight division to a whole new level. Myself, I grabbed Rheingans because him and Roop would make a great patriotic tag team.

I was looking for guys with history in Portland and the Sheepherders and Sierra fit the bill. I really didn't expect all three guys to be available. Now I have to rethink some booking ideas.

I'll apologize for not looking closer early in my draft. Misread the number taken from Georgia. Not too sure if Spike and Steve can be as good a heel team as the duo of Bart and Bass I lost, but I'm pretty sure Kiniski and Sweetan will boost my mid card or open up trades for more.

Fans in Hamilton get two MORE local types in Buddy Roberts & Sharpe.

Roberts was NOT my top option.  Dr. (Dr. of Desire) Tom Prichard was posed to upgrade my blonde-o faction and hold many, many belts.  Plan B is in effect.

I would have been stunned is any of my guys were taken.  Florida took my champion's flesh & blood - oooh...(grumpy button goes here!

THANKS for all the work that was done today on refreshing the threads etc.  I'll apologize for staring at the bottom of page 1 saying "what;s the hold up?"  lol

And one "no show" is not bad.

AND between the time the list was drawn up & today, I've uncovered about six unaccounted for active guys, thought best to wait til the trans thread is ready to resome, so I will email Mike W. the names.

Mid Atlantic is thrilled with his draft.

I SWEAR I counted Mid Atlantic as having SIX picks last I checked.  I was going to alert the Protest Committee!  I stink at single digit arithmetic...

Don't think any guys over 50 or under 20 were taken.  A good measuring stick for knowledgeable writers.

First I want to thank everyone, and especially those who organized the draft. We do these things so smoothly. I really think these drafts are great for our organization. We shuffle around top talent. When I saw I had the 15th and 21st, my first thought was to trade the picks, but then I saw the unprotected lists and decided I could get people I really wanted. I ended up with numbers one and two on my list. Everyone seemed to get guys that will help them. A good day for all.

Top 3 on my list were Buzz Sawyer, David Shults and Killer Khan. Two outta three ain't half bad.  Cool I expected to lose Sweetan to SWCW(half right) and probably Fujinami to Stampede. I thought Mempho might go for the Moondogs. So, I did ok today, better than expectations.

Mid Atlantic only picked up 5 wrestlers so the Blind Guy gets a big 'ol ShockedP.

Traded my two firsts for four seconds with the other second I have puts me at the limit of 5.

Can't believe that Kamala dropped to me. Had him second on my board behind Schultz.  Really wanted Gene Anderson as a manager but Georgia closed out before I could get him, but Freddie Blassie works out just fine in Mid Atlanitc, thank you.

With the guys I have coming in I think that it will be a very intersting time in the Carolinas and Virginias.

I am pleased to have gotten Tom Pritchard and Hiro Matsuda.. Almost went after Buck Robley and Bob Sweetan. Kamala and Killer Kahn were other choices. Smiley
