With Don Kenodle at his side, Sgt. Slaughter introduces the Cobra Clutch Challenge to WCCW. Slaughter says he will put up $5,000.00 to any man who can break the hold and that it is much superior to the ridiculous Von Erich Iron Claw. Salvatore Bellomo is the first to accept the challenge. Bellomo has to submit in less than a minute! Afterwards Slaughter throws Sal to the mat and then he and Kernodle put the boots to Bellomo!
Kerry Von Erich, fresh off his regaining of the Texas Title was interviewed by Bill Mercer. Kerry said that he was ready to defend his title against any and all challenges, including a rematch with Terry Funk.

The Fabulous ones ae interviewed at ringside about their Texas Tag Title defense against the Funk Brothers on today’s show. Terry and Dory come down and confront them and a brawl breaks out at ringside! Terry slams Stan’s head into the ringpost and Lane bleed buckets! Steve and Kerry Von Erich have to help Stan to the back and it doesn’t look good for the Fabs’ match later today!

Moondog Rex(w/Mr. JR) takes on Chris Adams. Adams looks great, but in the end, JR’s interference seals the win for Rex! Scott McGhee, a good friend of Admas, according to Bill Mercer, comes down and protests to the referee afterwards, but to no avail.

A VTR is shown of “Dr. D” David Shults. David talka bout how his friend Terry Gordy has told him all about Worl Class and how the Freebirds had to leave because o f cheating Von Erichs and biased officials! DR. D is coming to clean up WCCW and get payback for his friend !

Johnny Rich takes on Bob Sweetan. Rich is looking for revenge and gets a measure of it as he pins Sweetan after a reverse elbow. After the match, “Mr. Piledriver” goes for apiledriver, but Lars Anderson runs in to break it up.

The Main Event is The Fabulous Ones defending the Texas tag belts against Terry and Dory Funk. Stan comes to the ring with the spirit of ’76 look, but acts like he’s ready to fight! The Fabs fight valiantly, but Stan is just too wekened from blood loss and eventually falls prey to a piledriver from Terry. Terry pins Stan and the Funk Brothers are new TEXAS TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Stan Hansen and Scott Casey come to the ring to congratulate their fellow Double Cross Gang members. Scott Casey raises the Funk’s hands in victory, but he just looks like something is bothering him. Regardless, the Double Cross gang now controls the Texas tag belts and the American Title!

A VTR is shown of NWA World Champ Dusty Rhodes. Rhodes says that he will be coming to Texas for some title defenses. Next week, right here on TV, he will meet former World Champ Dory Funk Jr. for the belt. Then, on Thanksgiving, He will defend against the top contender in Texas, David Von Erich. Dory says that next week on TV, he will defeat Dusty Rhodes and be World Champion once again! Dory says that in today’s Main Event, he will show David Von Erich the difference between a real World Title contender and a goofy drugstore cowboy! Terry asks if there are any worthy tag teams left to contend for their belts. Kerry and Kevin Von Erich come to the ring and say that they will be proud to take these belts just like Kerry took the Texas Title and the brothers took the six man trophy!

In the Main Event, David Von Erich takes on Dory Funk, Jr. The match goes back and forth until David applies the Iron Claw! Scott Casey and Terry Funk appear at ringside and Terry attacks David from behind, drawing the DQ! Terry motions Casey into the ring… Scott has Terry’s branding idron! The Funks hold DVE and Terry yells for Scott to nail Dave with the branding iron! Casey just shakes his head and drops the branding iron! Casey is leaving. Be safe traveling my friend.

This was a good double shot ot tv.  I would love to see David take the belt from dusty, but I'm sure whatever happens will be fun to watch due to the great dynamic of two good ole boys from texas fighting over the world title in their home state.  The fans there should be mighty proud of both of them.

Casey probably just signed his death warrant by getting the Funk brothers riled up.

You've got a lot of interesting things going on here in World Class.  Not too bad for the 2nd ranked Texas based promotion. Wink

The Double Cross Gang continues to pile up titles but it looks like Casey has had enough. The Cobra Clutch has new life. Surprised that Sweetan seems to be in a slump, thanks to the unique pairing of Lars and Johnny. It will be interesting to see where Dr. D stakes his territory. Liking the Adams and McGhee pairing.

Nice WCCW action.
