NWA MACW TV Taping 11/27
Nov 30th, 2012, 10:03am

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling
Sanctioned by the NWA, the National Wrestling Alliance
Taped on the 27th of November in Raleigh North Carolina at the WRAL studio
Broadcasted throughout the Carolinas, Virginias, and parts of Tennessee and Ohio on December 1st and December 2nd
Your announcers at the interview area are Bob Caudle and David Crockett
Your referees for the matches are Tommy Young, Sonny Fargo and Stu Schwartz

Bob and David are at the interview area after the opening plays and welcome the fans to another action packed episode of Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling.  On today’s show we have some greet matches including in our main event Hulk Hogan versus Ray ‘Hercules’ Hernandez and the first of the $100,000 challenges.  Let’s go to the ring for the first match on Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling.

Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson versus The Blue Marvels

This young team looks impressive against the two masked men.  A double dropkick ends the match at the 7 minute mark on Marvel #2.

David joins the Rock and Roll Express after a replay of the dropkick.  Ricky and Robert say that they are just getting their feet wet as a team, tagging in Alabama and Tennessee but the Carolinas and Virginias have been great thus far.  Robert says that he has enjoyed the fans support and with them behind them there is no telling how far they could go.  David thanks Ricky and Robert and tells the fans that Freddie Blassie and his new find is next.

COMMERICAL BREAK

Bob welcomes back the fans as he is surrounded by Blassie’s Crew, which he is calling the United Nations.  Only he, The Hollywood Fashion Plate could bring together The Iron Sheik from Iran, Jumbo Tsuruta from Japan, The Great Kabuki from Singapore and the man in the ring, Kamala the Ugandan Giant.  Bob tells Freddie that his men look good in the ring but he is sure that men like Jim Duggan, Mike Rotunda, and George Wells can handle his men just fine.  Freddie points out that the Iron Sheik hasn’t been beat since he has been here.  Tsuruta pinned one of the strongest men in wrestling, The Mighty Igor and ran him out of town.  The Great Kabuki is rightly feared by all and not allowed in certain countries because he is so dangerous.  Kamala could be the best of all of these men if he can be trained due to his athletic ability.

Kamala with Freddie Blassie, Mid Atlantic Champion The Iron Sheik, The Great Kabuki and Mid Atlantic Television Champion Jumbo Tsuruta versus Chris Hamrick

With the gang at ringside this battle is over before it begins.  Kamala evidently enjoys playing with his food before he eats it as he takes big chunks out his forehead.  When Hamrick tries to get some offense going the very large Kamala does a leapfrog and delivers a nasty shot to his throat.  He covers Hamrick with him face down, with Blassie encouraging him to turn him over.  Kamala does as he was told, 360 degrees and covers him again.  Humperdink finally gets Kamala to roll Hamrick over on his back and gets the pin.

David and Bob are at the interview area with former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Dory Funk Jr.  Dory is ready to wrestle and looks at Bob and David and asks for the mike.  He tells the fans that he has bought the time on TV letting everyone know about the $100,000 challenge.  He has brought a check with him from his personal bank account for $100,000 that will be made out to any man that can pin him in less than 10 minutes.  He challenges any man on the roster.  Funk knows that NWA has other wrestlers that they want to give World Title shots and he is doing this to show that his money and reputation can get him another NWA World title reign.  Any wrestler in the back that wants to make $100,000 come on out, I will be waiting in the ring.

Funk slides into the ring, leaving the check with David and Bob, and awaits his opponent.  Bob and David says that they are sure someone will be out by the commercial break and we will see that match next.

COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos

Young Al Snow joins Bob and David at the interview area, saying that he knows that he can pin Dory Funk and take the check home.  Bob and David wish him luck as Snow goes to the ring.

Al Snow versus Dory Funk Jr.
If Snow pins Funk in the first ten minutes of the match he will win $100,000 check from Dory Funk Jr.

Dory seems very confident about this match and it shows as he gives the rookie Snow a wrestling lesson.  Every time Al thinks he has the advantage Dory reverses it.  Funk makes the youngster Snow submit to a spinning toehold in 7 minutes.

Funk comes back to ringside, grabs the check and says it was like taking candy from a baby.  Anyone else that wants a chance can step up next week at TV.

COMMERICAL BREAK

Bob and David are joined by the Mid Atlantic Six Man Tag Team Champions, the Youngblood brothers and Rick Steamboat.  They are happy they won a victory by winning the Six Man Trophy but a war is still going on.  Blassie’s men are dangerous and have set their sights on this.  Just know that all three of them are not going to give up easily.  They had to fight really hard to win this from the Russians and the Sheik and since they have run those commies out of town things had gotten a little better, but now things have gotten worse with Blassie’s thugs running around.  Steamboat is adamant that he Jay and Mark will keep the trophy.  He reminds the Nelson Royal and Johnny Weaver and Gino Hernandez and Jimmy Garvin that he and Jay have not forgotten about them.  Jay tells the fans that he and Rick will be a tag champion soon.  David thanks the champs and throws it to the ring for the next contest.

The Great Kabuki with Freddie Blassie versus George Gulas

Kabuki has a good of a match that he can with Gulas, who sloppily gets through the eyesore.  A savate kick ends the stinker at the 7 minute mark. There is an extremely tall large man in overalls and plaid shirt watching in the front row cheering on Gulas and seems to be not a big fan of Blassie’s UN.

Bob and David tell the fans that the main event is next on Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling.

COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos

Bob and David welcome the fans back and throw it to the ring for the main event.

Hulk Hogan with JJ Dillon versus Hercules Hernandez

The two egotists have a pose down in the middle of the ring, to which the crowd boos both men.  This match has a lot of punching and kicking with it going 50/50 for the first seven minutes.  When Hogan misses the big boot on Herc, Hernandez takes over and really puts fuel to the fire.  The crowd actually cheers as Hernandez gets the fingers locked and applies a full nelson on Hogan.  Bob and David aren’t sure if it the punishment during the match or if Hogan actually powers out the full nelson but Hogan breaks the hold that no one has been able to break in Mid Atlantic.  Heranadez looks shocked at first but then starts laying the boots to Hogan.  Hulk starts shaking and gets up, delivers a huge clothesline followed up by a big boot.  A leg drop follows and Hogan picks up Herc at 2.  Hulk throws Hernandez to the outside and runs him head first into the ring post.  Fargo calls for the DQ as the ring bell is being rung rapidly in the background.  Hogan doesn’t slow down as he continues his attack.  He picks up the bloodied Hernandez and delivers a pile driver on the concrete outside of the ring, just as he did with Jones the week before.  Dillon cheers on gleefully as Hogan stands over Hernandez pointing.  Mid Atlantic officials again clear the area and see to Hernandez.  A stretcher is called for as we see Herc being carted off.  David throws it to commercial as Hernandez is being taken out of the studio.

COMMERICAL BREAK

Hogan and Dillon are enjoying the carnage at the interview are with Bob and David when they are joined by Jim Crockett.  Jim announces $30,000 fines for both men and that Hogan and Dillon are suspended for a week.  Hogan gets nose to nose with Crockett and says that hearing that wanna be bodybuilders skull crack as he dropped it on the floor is worth every dollar.  Hogan looks at Crockett saying that he and Dillon will be there early this week to drop off their recent fines to him.

David says that next week at least they won’t have to put up with Hogan and Dillon.  Bob invites the fans to join them next week on Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling and says “So Long for Now!!!!”

Hogan is brutal to have put Hernandez out like that. Morton and Gibson are not in the spotlight right now but that will change, I am sure. Blassie sure has a faction to reckon with. The Funk challenge is a proven moneymaker. Great show.

Great TV!  The R-n-R are going to make some big noise here...Blassie's troops are impressive...Loved the 100K challenge IRL and here too...Kabuki showed restraint, he could have killed Gulus...Hogan destroys Hernandez, so long Herc!  Great stuff James!
