WWC Recap for November
Nov 30th, 2012, 7:48pm

Week of November 3rd (Taped on October 31st)
Interviews
- It is announced that on October 27th, Carlos Colon has defeated Hercules Ayala for the North American heavyweight title in a hard fought, very bloody, barbed wire match. Both men were hospitalized due to blood loss and will not be here this week, but WILL be in the studio next week.
- Caribbean champion Chicky Starr tells Tony Parisi to just give up the idea of being the champion because there is no way that Parisi will get another shot at the title. Parisi comes out and tells Starr that if he is such a man, and such a fighting champion, and NOT a chicken, Starr will agree to one more shot. Starr tells Parisi if he can defeat a man of Starr’s choosing this week, Parisi will get one more shot at the title next week. Otherwise he might as well leave Puerto Rico.
- Harley Race is in the studio. He issues a challenge for ANY champion in the WWC to come in and defend against him. He says if none do, then he will start to systematically destroy every wrestler until there is no choice BUT to give him a title shot.
- The Assassins want their North American tag title shot now. Last week they defeated the Invaders in a non-title so that makes them the number one contenders.  The Invaders tell them to come out and put up or shut up. Next week the title match is on.

Matches
- Abdullah The Butcher destroys Damien Kane, bloodying up the wrestler until the referee has to declare it a no contest and award the victory to Abdullah
- For A Caribbean Title Shot: Tony Parisi manages to defeat the chosen opponent from Chicky Starr....TIGER JEET SINGH!!!! Singh bloodies up Parisi, but when he turns his sights on the other man in the ring, the referee, a disqualification is in short order and Parisi goes on to get a title shot. Starr is livid, climbing in the ring and berating Singh until Singh changes his tune and attacks Starr. Starr, quickly and luckily gets out of the ring before Singh can do any real damage.
-Harley Race climbs in to the ring and calls out any champion. None come out, so Harley tells the ring announcer to just get him someone to defeat in the middle of the ring. One of the members of “Los Cowboys”, Dan Kroffat, comes to the ring to face Race. Race however goes on the attack before Kroffat can even get in to the ring fully. It is all Race for the entire match, ending it mercifully with a top rope headbutt.

Week of November 10th (Taped on November 7th)
Interviews
-Caribbean champion Chicky Starr tells Tony Parisi he got lucky last week in getting by Tiger Jeet Singh. He got lucky and now his luck ends. Parisi won the right for the shot and now he gets it. As for Jeet Singh putting his hands on Starr last week, that happened once and if Singh knows what is good for him, that will never happen again.
- The NWA World tag team champions, Jimmy Garvin & Gino Hernandez address the Invaders, telling them that the world tag team title shot they are looking for won’t happen. Garvin says that The Invaders have to deal with The Assassins first before they can ever hope to rise enough concentration to even put up a fight.  The Invaders come out and tell the champs that the Assassins are going to be taken care of right now. Then it is all about the NWA world tag team championship. Garvin & Hernandez start pushing and really distracting the North American champions, allowing The Assassins to intervene and attack The Invaders, throwing them in to the ring to start the North American tag title match.
- Harley Race is out saying last week he gave a warning about what he is going to do. Same goes for this week. If none of the champions come out, then he will destroy a wrestler from the back until there are no more.
- WWC North American heavyweight champion Carlos Colon is out next, head and arm still bandaged from his hellacious barbed wire match. He thanks the fans for supporting him in his battles with Ayala but he really wants to thank someone. Someone, he says, that the fans will be surprised to see. He calls out Hercules Ayala and tells him to come down.  Ayala is bandaged across his head and all around his ribs and back. He asks Colon what he wants, to which Colon answers that he wanted to thank Ayala. He wanted to thank Ayala for bringing out the beast in him, bringing out the champion in him. It has been a long time coming. Colon puts out his hand for Ayala to shake. Ayala just stares at the hand, stares at the North American title belt, and leaves the ring.

Matches
-Chicky Starr retains the Caribbean title over Tony Parisi after Tiger Jeet Singh makes his way to the ring and attacks Starr based on Starr’s comments pre-match. Parisi, now livid, attacks Singh and the three way fight is on, making its way to the back.
- North American Tag Team Champions, The Invaders, lose the match and the titles to The Assassins after not being able to recoup from the attack pre-match. The titles are lost when The Assassin #1 loads the mask as the NWA World tag champions have the referee busy, and blast Invader #3 with it before pinning him. As the Assassins celebrate, Hernandez & Garvin jump in to the ring and lay a vicious attack on the already downed Invaders.
- Harley Race again comes to the ring and calls out any title holder in WWC. None respond again, so like last week, Race tells the ring announcer to send anyone out to get crippled. Jose Luis Riveria comes out to try the former world champion but like “Los Cowboy” Dan Kroffat last week, he fails in his delivery, with Race taking over early and keeping control until the final bell.

Week of November 17th (Taped on November 14th)
Interview
-Caribbean champion Chicky Starr has had enough. Tiger Jeet Singh has caused an issue last week, saving Tony Parisi from an assured beating of his life time. Singh was paid to come in and rid WWC of Parisi, not attack the man who has paid him. NWA Representative Victor Jovica comes out and tells Starr that since he created the monster by paying Singh to be here and attack Starr’s challengers, then Starr will have to deal with that. As for Parisi, next week there will be another title match between Starr & Parisi but it will have the stipulation that if Starr is disqualified, he will lose the Caribbean title. If Parisi loses, he will LEAVE the Island, and WWC. Starr readily agrees to that saying that Parisi better pack.
- Puerto Rican champion “The Kentucky Butcher” John Quinn brags about how three weeks ago he defeated the big, bad Bruiser Brody. He has been the Puerto Rican champion a long, long time and there is no one who can take that title away from him. Brody comes out, swinging his chain and scaring the fans as well as the Puerto Rican champ, who immediately heads to the back in order to avoid Brody.
- Harley Race angrily comes out and tells the NWA representative Victor Jovica, that he wants what he has earned, and that is a shot at the North American heavyweight title. Jovica tells Race he needs to actually earn it. Race tells him to send in the next victim.
- North American heavyweight champion Carlos Colon is out sans bandages. He does not know why Ayala walked away like he did, but that does not change what Colon said. He respects Ayala as a wrestler and as a man. That being said, it is time to look ahead to his next title defence. Manager Tarzan Tyler comes out and tells Colon that he controls Colon’s next opponent and that is a man who has beaten Colon many times. Colon tells him to stop talking and to bring him out. Tyler says he is out there already. All Colon has to do is turn around. Colon does and is hit with a double handed chop to the throat by none other than ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER!!! The Butcher pulls the fork and starts to carve the champ. Referees and officials are trying to break it up as the show ends.

Matches
- Puerto Rican Champion “Kentucky Butcher” John Quinn defends successfully against Victor Rivera, finishing him off with a powerslam.
- Bruiser Brody totally demolishes Tor Kamata in a match that makes both men bloody. But it seems the bloodier Brody got, the more and harder he fought, until a running knee drop takes out Kamata
- Harley Race defeats “Los Cowboys” member Frankie Laine, hitting him with the flying headbutt to end it. After the match, Race keeps calling for more wrestlers to come out, INCLUDING the NWA rep, before heading to the back.

Week of November 24th (Taped on November 21st)
Interviews
- Harley Race starts the show saying he wants a proper damn challenger and he wants it now. He is tired of these little men, he wants a contender to the North American title in the ring right now or he will go back and beat the holy hell out of everyone in there. The fans start to cheer, yet scatter as a familiar face emerges, chain swinging. IT IS BRUISER BRODY!!!! BRODY HAS ANSWERED THE CHALLENGE OF HARLEY RACE!!!! Brody gets to the ring and the fight is on.
- The newly crowned North American tag team champions, The Assassins, come to celebrate their title win from last week. The celebration is interrupted however by Los Cowboys, Dan Kroffat & Frankie Laine. The Cowboys tell The Assassins to get ready to defend those belts because with The Invaders going after the NWA world tag team titles this week, that puts them out of contention and Los Cowboys right in to it. The Assassin tell the Cowboys that next week is as good as any, for them to defeat the Cowboys.
- Puerto Rican champion “Kentucky Butcher” John Quinn tells the fans that he is the greatest wrestler to be on this island and he will defend against anyone, anytime. He quickly changes his tune with HERCULES AYALA comes out and says he accepts. Quinn tries to backtrack but Ayala has none of it, throwing Quinn in to the ring to start the defence.
- Tarzan Tyler & Abdullah The Butcher come out and say that Carlos Colon is not here this week because he is scared of The Butcher. Tyler says that Colon has won the North American belt before and has lost it before, to The Butcher. Last week, Abdullah left Colon a bloody mess on the ground and now it is time for Colon to just hand the title over. He adds that Colon does not Abdullah to go hunting for the belt. Not this time.

Matches
- Harley Race and Bruiser Brody wrestle to a no contest due to the sheer brutality of the two men involved. Both are bloody, both don’t stop until they are pulled apart and even then, it continues all the way to the back.
- Caribbean Champion Chicky Starr manages to squeak out a victory by holding the titles to retain the title. Now Parisi must leave Puerto Rico.
- Puerto Rican Champion John Quinn is not victorious this week in his defence against Hercules Ayala. They brawl pillar to post with Ayala eventually catching Quinn with the figure four leglock for the win, and the title.

Race seems to be dominating PR with his unique style. Too bad for Parisi but I wonder if Singh is next. The Assassins are in the head of The Cowboys. Ayala gets a title and Colon gets Abby. The fans are winners.

Great stuff.

Always good to see Puerto Rico rolling, and th tone you have set hit the feel right on the nose.

Race and Brody would make me not just by an arena ticket to see the match, but maybe even a plane ticket to get there to see it. Hope those two still have many battles left to fight in the WWC.

You have a good tag scene with the Invaders, Assassins, and Los Cowboys. Adding some depth will be good for the future though.

Singles is hopping with Starr holding the Carib Belt, Quinn and Ayala looking good in the PR scene, and of course Senor Colon on the top as expected. Hope Abby give him a good run here.

Interesting to get a longish recap / catch-up fairly concisely done...and so enjoyable.  The PR flavor helps, as things being left to the imaginating are easy to fill in.  Maybe gory, but easy.

Solid programs and nifty getting the deal with Race laid out like this, as well as the belt switches.  It is pulled-off effectively.

It was tough seeing Quinn vs. Ayala, two real favorites of mine!
