Don Coss and the Dutch Savage are in the Crow’s Nest. With them is Harley Race.
Coss, “With us is former NWA World Champion, Harley Race. Mr. Race, welcome to the Northwest. We have a pretty good idea why you’re here, but why don’t you tell us.”
Race, “Listen Coss, don’t get smart with me. I’m the greatest wrestler in the world, and I can go wherever I want. I’ve been chasing Dusty Rhodes and I know he’s coming back here and I’m ready to take my title back.”
Coss, “That steals some of our thunder. We are going to announce that the World Champion, Dusty Rhodes, is returning to the Northwest beginning next week. It appears that Mr. Race had some inside information and beat Dusty to the area.”
Race, “Being a former World Champion gives me contacts that everyone else doesn’t have. I’m here waiting and I will take back ‘MY’ title.”
Coss, “Harley Race will be in our first match, our main event has Dean Ho and Ed Wiskoski in action and my partner, Dutch Savage, has a big announcement. Dutch, are you ready to tell us?”
Savage, “I think everyone can wait a few more minutes, this is so big, it’s worth waiting for.”
Coss, “O.K. Dutch, we’ll wait. Let’s see Harley Race in action.”
Match #1
Harley Race def. Terry Adonis, w/Piledriver
Stan Stasiak and Billy Jack are in the Crow’s Nest.
Coss, “With us are the two men who make up, what many fans believe, the best tag team in the Northwest. They keep winning, but they can’t seem to get a title shot. Gentlemen, it has to be frustrating.”
BJ, “I’m tired of waiting! Stan and I have beaten everyone and Rose and Wiskoski keep running! Cowards, that’s what they are! They know we can beat them, so they won’t wrestle us!”
Stasiak, “You know, I keep saying that Billy is young and he doesn’t completely understand who this business works, but I’m tired of that! Those two are cowards, we all know that. Now it’s time for us to get our shot and take the titles! If they don’t give us the shot we deserve, we’ll have to take it! We may have to hold this match in a parking lot!”
BJ, “Crusher and Billy deserve a shot, and you have to believe they will get one, sometime.”
Match #2
Stan Stasiak and Billy Jack def. Buck Ramstead and Rick Hunter, Billy Jack w/Full Nelson vs. Hunter
Dean Ho is in the Crow’s Nest.
Coss, “With us is Dean Ho. Dean, first of all, you’ve had great success since arriving back in the Northwest. You are undefeated.”
Ho, “It’s been a lot of fun. The competition is great and it’s a tough match every night, but that’s what I like.”
Coss, “Well tonight is no different. You meet Ed Wiskoski in our main event. Wiskoski is good, but you know that Rose and the Army will be at ringside and that makes it even harder.”
Ho, “Wiskoski must not have and faith in himself. He’s good enough, but still he wants Rose to help him. He needs to be a man and win by himself, but that’s not happening tonight, I’m beating him.”
Coss, “This will be a great one.”
Match #3
Doug Somers def. Billy White Cloud, w/Neckbreaker
“Playboy” Buddy Rose and the Army are in the Crow’s Nest.
Coss, “With us is the Army with their leader ‘Playboy’ Buddy Rose…”
Rose, “Stop right there Coss! Savage you talk about some secret announcement, I know you don’t have anything, so let’s get it right out in the open! You’re lying! Admit it!”
Savage, “Rose, your mouth is about as big as Mt. St. Helen’s and just about as much comes out of it. I know you’re worried, but I’m not going to make the announcement yet, but I will tell you this, it concerns you.”
Rose, “Shut up Savage, just shut up! You don’t know anything!”
Savage, “Just wait.”
Coss, “Alright, Dutch will have his announcement later in the show. Now let’s talk about the main event. Ed Wiskoski meets Dean Ho. Mr. Ho seems to think Wiskoski is relying too much on the interference of Mr. Rose.”
Wiskoski, “That’s what you would expect an ignorant Savage from some South Pacific island to say. He is illiterate and uneducated. I’ll take care of him in two straight falls.”
Rose, “Look at this man. The second smartest man in wrestling, the second most handsome man in the business, all next to me, of course. Do you think some pineapple picker from Hawaii is going to beat him, of course not?”
Coss, “Well we will see. Ed Wiskoski meets Dean Ho in the main event and Dutch Savage says his announcement concerns Buddy Rose. That is big news.”
Match #4
Christopher Colt def. Joe Lightfoot, w/Elbow Drop
Coss, “Our main event is next.”
Main Event, Two out of Three Falls
Ed Wiskoski w/”Playboy” Buddy Rose vs. Dean Ho
First Fall-The match is fast paced and Ho controls the early action. Wiskoski is frustrated and takes to the floor to confer with Rose. He returns and slows the pace. Rose threatens to interfere a couple of times, but does not. Wiskoski hits the falling headbutt to take the first fall.
Winner-Ed Wiskoski
Coss and Savage are in the Crow’s Nest.
Coss, “Partner, the show is almost over. Is it time for the announcement?”
Savage, “Don, you sound like Owen. (laughs) We have one more break. I’ll wait until then.”
Coss, “O.K. let’s talk about the coming weeks in the Northwest. Christmas is almost here and we have some big news for everyone. Harley Race stole out thunder a bit when he said Dusty Rhodes was coming back, and he’s right. What he didn’t tell you was that Dusty will be here next week! That’s right Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race in the same place and that place is the Portland Sports Arena.”
Savage, “We’ve seen Dusty a few times since he won the title. Harley Race has held the title and is in hot pursuit of Rhodes and he’s followed him here. Next week could be a very volatile situation.”
Coss, “I’ll say. Since it doesn’t look like Dutch is going to tell us what he has yet, let’s go back to the ring for our second fall.”
Second Fall-Wiskoksi jumps Ho before the bell. He said he would end this in two, he might just do that. Ho is in trouble, but the crowd rallies him and he fights fire with fire. He traps Wiskoski in the abdominal stretch and before Rose can interfere, Wiskoski submits. It’s all even.
Winner-Dean Ho
Coss and Savage are in the Crow’s Nest.
Coss, “Well Dutch, it’s time.”
Savage, “Yes it is. I can’t tell you how much I’m looking forward to this. I want Rose and his Army up here, right now!”
Rose and the Army come to the Crow’s Nest.
Rose, “Alright Savage, what’s this big announcement you have?”
Savage, “Rose, I’m going to love this, I tell you absolutely love this. You and your lawyers have been very good. You’ve signed all the open contracts for tag team title matches with everyone except Stasiak and Billy Jack. You must have paid they a lot, because they are good.”
Rose, “Yea, yea, I’m rich, we all know that. Get to the point.”
Savage, “Well they tied up all the contracts…except one. They missed one. On Christmas night, there was an open contract for a tag team title match and it is in Seattle, at the Seattle Center Coliseum.”
Rose turns white as a sheet.
Savage, “I’m sure you know who the promoter in Seattle, don’t you Rose. He’s an old coal miner’s son from West Virginia by the name of…Dutch Savage! Me, that’s who! I saw that contract and I called Don Owen then I called Stan Stasiak and Billy Jack. It’s signed Rose! Christmas night, in Seattle, Rose and Wiskoski vs. Stasiak and Billy Jack, for the Northwest Tag Team Titles! How about that Rose!”
Rose, “No, no, no! My lawyers just made a mistake! They’ll fix it!”
Savage, “They can’t! It’s signed and official! Rose you’re not as smart as you think!”
Coss, “Wow! That was news worth waiting for! Let’s see how this affects our third fall.”
Third Fall-Rose and Wiskoski are stunned. They are arguing when the bell ring. Ho takes this opportunity to roll up Wisskoski for the pin. Dean Ho wins the third fall and the match!
Winner-Dean Ho
Coss and Savage close the show.
Coss, “Dutchman, not that I ever doubted you, but that was even better than expected!”
Savage, “We all know Stan and Billy can beat them. Now they have their chance!”
Coss, “The action in the Northwest just gets better and better! Remember, next week, Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race in the Sports Arena, don’t miss it!”
