NWA MACW TV Taping 12/4
Dec 7th, 2012, 1:38pm

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling
Sanctioned by the NWA, the National Wrestling Alliance
Taped on the 4th of December in Raleigh North Carolina at the WRAL studio
Broadcasted throughout the Carolinas, Virginias, and parts of Tennessee and Ohio on December 7th and December 8th
Your announcers at the interview area are Bob Caudle and David Crockett
Your referees for the matches are Tommy Young, Sonny Fargo and Stu Schwartz

Bob and David thank the fans for tuning in today to another exciting hour of Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling.  David has the check in his hand and we will have another $100,000 challenge with Dory Funk.  Paul Jones will be joining us during the show to let us know how he is doing after the attack by Hulk Hogan.  Sandy Scott will be joining us with some huge news about a card coming to Chattanooga Tennessee on New Year’s Eve and in our main event, Jumbo Tsuruta with his manager Freddie Blassie will face Mike Rotunda.  Let’s go to the ring for our first contest on Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling.

George Wells and Brickhouse Brown versus Chris Hamrick and Tracy Smothers

Brown hits an impressive press slam on Hamrick for the pin and the win at the 7 minute mark. (Fargo)

Bob and David are joined by the newly appointed NWA representative Sandy Scott.  Sandy tells the audience that our friends in Chattanooga have a great card coming on New Year’s Eve, with the NWA World Title, the NWA World Tag Team Titles, the United States Title, The Mid Atlantic Title, The Mid Atlantic Television Title, The Unified Mid Atlantic Tag Team Titles and the Mid Atlantic Six Man Tag Team Titles.  That’s SEVEN big title matches with all of your stars from the NWA.  So join us at the UTC Arena for what looks like the card of the year.  We will have more information next week.

Bob tells the fans that the $100,000 challenge is next.  Who will come out and wrestle Dory Funk Jr. and try to pin him in less than 10 minutes.  We will find out next.

COMMERICAL BREAK

We come back to Mid Atlantic Championship with Mark Youngblood in the ring ready for the $100,000 challenge.  We see a check from Dory’s own personal bank account for 100 grand held by Bob.  Bob says that if Mark can pin or make Dory submit in 10 minutes the money will be his.  Dory takes the mike for a moment saying that he heard that the fat slob, Dusty Rhodes will be in Mid Atlantic defending his title.  Funk says that both Mid Atlantic and the NWA are against him, wanting new blood for the titles.  Men like Nelson Royal and Johnny Weaver give him hope, and he believes that both He and Royal and Weaver should get the title matches in Chattanooga.  He says that since Mid Atlantic won’t support him he is going to support himself, use his own money to make big noise.  3 men have tried to take the check, but none will.  Some might make it past the 10 minutes but no one will pin him.

Dory goes to the ring as Bob announces that match is for the check for $100,000.

Dory Funk versus Mark Youngblood

Funk is surprised by the fight he gets out of Youngblood.  Mark even gets a quick two count with a school boy.  Funk slows things down on Mark and takes control, working on the left knee.  Dory makes Mark submit to a spinning toe hold at the 8 minute mark.

David says that he was at the Mid Atlantic office in Charlotte off of Briarbend, talking to his brother Jim.  A camera was there and they saw a incident between, Jim, JJ and Hulk Hogan.

BEGIN VTR

We start with David and Jim talking when JJ knocks at the door.  He says that he and Hogan are here to pay their fines.  JJ says that the money is outside and Hogan has it.  All three men go outside to see Hogan standing by 3 wheelbarrows full of rolled change.  JJ says that it took Hulk and Him a while to roll all of the quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies but it is all there, all $35,000 for both JJ and Hulk.  JJ says that they misplaced a little of the cash but just to make sure that they didn’t short change Jim that Hulk had a little gift for them.  Hulk walks up and hands Jim a penny.  He says that his wife must have missed one in all of the rolls she did.  JJ and Hulk laugh and walk away as Jim and David shake their head.
END VTR

Jim is there with David and Bob.  Crockett says that he took all of the money that JJ and Hulk gave him and gave it to Toys for Tots, the Salvation Army, and the Metrolina Food Bank so that kids and families in the Charlotte Area that are less fortunate will have a meal and a couple of gifts under the tree this Christmas.

The crowd cheers as Bob says that number one Paul Jones is coming out next and he has a message for Hogan and Dillon.

COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos

Paul Jones is with Bob and David at the interview area with a neck brace in tow.  Bob asks Paul about his injuries and his timetable for getting back into the ring.  Paul tells the audience that he is finally able to get into some light as he had been having horrible headaches, due to the concussion.  Other than straining some muscles in his neck and recovering from the concussion he is fine.  He should be back to wrestling by the end of month.  Paul has some strong words for Dillon, who turned his back on him and on his blowhard, muscle bound bleach blonde idiot Hogan.  Hulk went too far by what he done and Jones will make sure that he pays.  He has asked Jim Crockett to be part of the big card in Chattanooga and Jim has said that he will as long he is cleared by doctors.  Jones says that he doesn’t care if he’s cleared or not he wants to get his hands on Hogan, be it in a parking lot, a bathroom, or restaurant.  Jones really wants it to happen in a ring, and then to get a hold of that rat Dillon afterwards.  Paul reminds JJ and Hulk that he will be around the corner that they don’t expect, so they need to keep their eyes open.

Bob and David throw it to the ring for the next contest on Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling.

Mid Atlantic Television Champion Jumbo Tsuruta with Freddie Blassie versus Mike Rotunda with Jim Duggan in his corner.

Bob says that the Rotunda doesn’t trust Blassie so he has called in backup in Duggan.  The match goes back and forth between the two men with Duggan keeping Blassie at bay physically but not verbally.  A classic catch as catch can with each wrestler going back and forth exchanging near falls.  At the 12 minute mark of the fifteen minute time limit Tsuruta hits a belly to back suplex.  Tommy Young makes the three count and walks over to retrieve the belt.  He hands the TV title to Rotunda as the crowd, Duggan and Rotunda go wild.  Blassie is bad mouthing Young ,who explains to the manager that Jumbo’s shoulders were down for all three counts while Rotunda got his up at two.  The replay shows this as true, to which Blassie still claims that Young is blind.  Rotunda quickly joins the announce crew happy, sweaty and thankful to have Jim around.  Mike says he will have Jim’s back when he faces the Iron Sheik next time around, to get him a belt.  The two wrestlers high five as David throws it to a break.

COMMERICAL BREAK

Bob and David are back and go to the ring for the next contest.

Koko Ware versus Keith Larson

Koko wins with a brain buster at the 7 minute mark over Larson.

Bob and David are joined by Koko, George Wells and Brickhouse Brown.  They are calling out the Mid Atlantic Six Man Tag Team Champions, anytime anyplace.  Wells and Brown would also like to get a shot at Weaver and Royal.  This brings out Weaver and Royal, who say that they aren’t looking for trouble.  They say that next week on TV sounds good to them and they will defend the unified Mid Atlantic Tag Titles against anyone except Steamboat and Youngblood.  Those are two ungrateful punks who get whatever they want because of all of the little girls scream for them.  The fans need to understand that all of the little girls can scream, write their love letters and boo every time he and Weaver come out.  It makes no difference as they are the best tag team in Mid Atlantic and the belts they have say so.  Until they can prove themselves then Steamboat and Youngblood will not get a shot.  Wells and Brown agree and David says that should be a great match next week on TV.  Bob goes to commercial and tells the fans that they will hear from the NWA World Tag Team Champs before the show ends.

COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos

Bob and David are joined by the NWA World Tag Team Champions Gino Hernandez and Jimmy Garvin.  They are here because teams like the Best of the British, those old codgers Weaver and Royal and teenybopper’s best friends Steamboat and Youngblood are clamoring for a title shot.  One of those teams will get a shot in Chattanooga on New Year’s Eve.  Hernandez says that there couldn’t be a worse place in the world than that hole in the ground the UTC Arena and Chattanooga Tennessee to spend their New Years.  They had plans for New York City and pretty women and clubs, not a bunch of rednecks.  Jimmy tells Gino that he can get a private plane to fly them to Miami right after the match and they can celebrate with the tag titles there.  Bob asks for the NWA Tag Champs to stick around as we have a tag match to wrap things up on Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling.

Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson versus Mike Boyette and George Gulas

Gibson and Morton look great against the Boyette as he flies all over the ring for them.  A double dropkick ends the match as Hernandez and Garvin says that they have a lot to learn.  They wonder why the ref didn’t disqualify those young punks for double teaming.  David points out that they made it out by five, while Gino and Jimmy are not impressed with the young kids.

Bob thank the fans for watching and invite them back next week for more Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling.

Great TV!  Chattanooga is starting to take shape nicely...I like the Wells/Brown/Ware team...Youngblood fought hard, but Funk is still the 100K man...Jones could be biting off more than he can chew with Hogan...Great win for Rotundo, congrats...Gino/Garvin should never overlook this area...R-n-R Express looked great...Super good job James!
