    NWA CANADIAN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

We're in the nation's capital and have a great crowd on hand.  "Mr. Maple Leaf Wrestling", Norm Kimber has the crowd warmed up & we get our first match introductions.

Match 1 - Buck "Rock & Roll" Zumhofe & Mr. Florida vs. "Downtown" Denny Brown & Don Arakawa
We open with a fast-paced match featuring top Light-Heavyweight contenders.  Arakawa breaks out some new offense - nerve holds prove agonizing to both foes.  After wearing down the masked Floridian, Arakawa tags to Denny who finishes with a rolling cradle.
Result Match 1 - Denny Brown pins Mr. Florida @ 14:00

Match 2 "Mean" Mike Miller vs. "Mr/ Irresistible" Sweet Daddy Siki
Siki gets a pop to start, Miller out of the chute fast & hard.  Love for Sweet Daddy tapers off as he begins stalling, posturing & diving out of the ring to safety.  Miller is not leery about heading out there, either.  Seems to make him meaner!  He finalizes matters by pulling a protesting SDS back in with a headlock & ramming him all the way across the ring to the buckles.
Result Match 2 - "Mean" Mikr Miller pins Sweet Daddy Siki @ 10:20

Match 3 Caribbean Sunshine Boys (Butcher Bond & Johnny Kincaid) vs. "Rocky" Ed Boulder & Johnny War Eagle[/b]
Smaller War Eagle proves to be odd man out.  Boulder takes it to the British vets, who seem impressed.  Constant saving of War Eagle begins to wear on the Boulder-man.  Bond ends the match with a cross-face / chicken wing on the Eagle.  Both Sunshine Boys give a show of sportsmanlike respect, leading the applause for their opponents' efforts.
Result Match 3 - Butcher Bond submits Johnny War Eagle @ 13:40

Match 4 Johnny Powers vs. Armand Hussein
Hussein looks downright choked he has NO side-kicks - when Powers enters, he realizes Johnny is not going to let himself be a whipping-boy for the Arab's anger.  Pre-bell attack by Hussein sets the tone,  Powers promptly counters & takes command, Hussein uses enough trunk-pulls & face-rips to keep the hate going.  Powers takes him to a corner in a hammerlock & after some buckle shots, finishes with a loud belly-to-back suplex.
Result Match 4 - Johnny Powers pins Armand Hussein @ 12:00

INTERMISSION

Match 5 Kortsia Korchenko vs. Black Diamond
The Soviet propaganda is being heavily shovelled tonight!  Comrade Markoff is laying out the party line.

CM:  "We hear BOOING on the glorious day of Revolution?  We are here for YOU, the proletariat, the hoi polloi, the working class!  We share the wealth, that is why when WE win TV Golden Lottery, it will be for YOU!  SHUT UP!  INGRATES!"

KK:  "You are DUPED, you is all SHEEP, look what money bag promoters sends to face me!  A MASKED double-agent, a JUDAS with hidden agenda..."

Voter approval rating is zero - booing drowns out the rest, and Black Diamond heads out.  Comrade Markoff faces Kiniski in mere minutes sticks by brother Korchenko.  Kortsia is doing well himself, Markoff adds some cheapshots on the floor.  Now Korchenko has control & he is on the floor slamming Black Diamond's nut on the apron - chortling & bellowing from Chris.

Until we have a hardy soul out to right the wrongs...ROCKY!  He pulls Markoff aside, panicking Korchenko quickly rolls his masked adversary in & gets the pin PDQ.  Boulder has some choice comments as he helps BD away.
Result Match 5 - Kortsia Korchenko pins Black Diamond @ 10:50

Match 6 Kurt & Karl Von Steiger © vs. The Bounty Hunters (Jerry & David Novak)
NWA CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL TAG TEAM TITLE
Full-tilt brawling is showcased.  Match is rarely one on one inside the ropes, lots of 2 on 1, all four at once, and often on the floor.  Kurt piledrives David onto an empty chair, Jerry crotches Karl on a guardrail...Kortsia Korchenko is skulking on the periphery.  HE keeps David from the ring with some stomps...as Jerry is flung out, KK busts him on a ringpost.  After the armraises, Markoff is out to join Korchenko in congrats for the champs.
Result Match 6 - Von Steigers def. Bounty Hunters via CO @ 14:10

Gene Kiniski © vs. Chris Markoff
MAIN EVENT One hour NWA CANADIAN HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE

Kiniski has some security staff to escort him, senior official hass evicted the East German allies and Kortsia.  There is a LOT of vows, insults & threats filling the air.  After a rootin' tootin' heap of action in the earlier bouts, this match is a bit anti-climactic but the fans don't mind.  Big Thunder sets the tone with early bodyslams, bearhugs counter any Russki rallies and we have a backbreaker to end the night.
Result Match 7 - Gene Kiniski © pins Chris Markoff @ 9:20

The East German - Russian alliance reforms at ringside and resumes their bluster as the champ stands on his own, acknowledging the cheers.

Like that the vet Kiniski put The Ruskie in his place. Good clean match from Boulder, The Boys, and War Eagle. I am enjoying the way you are using Miller. good to see Powers active.

Solid, entertaining show.
