Airing LIVE from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm

Referees: Paul Morton and Jerry Calhoun

**Sprach Zarathrustra plays the Pankrationist Statue rotates 360 degrees while Championship Wrestling is shown over it. The scene fades to Lance Russell & Dave Brown behind the announce desk. **

Russell:  Yeeeeeellllllloooooo again and we welcome you to another exciting edition of Championship Wrestling.  Heeeeeeyyyy what a busy week we have had and what a great show we have lined up for ya.  And here’s our old friend Davey to tell us all about it.

Brown:  Lance, we have a big program planned for today.  AWA World Champion, Wahoo McDaniel, is joining us again.  We will hear from Dutch Mantell, International Champion, The King, Jerry Lawler, Tux Newman and his new “finds,” Jimmy Hart and the First Family, Austin Idol, Nature Boy, Ric Flair, and many others.  The Fabs will be in action as will Macho Man Randy Savage, Phil Hickerson, Bill Dundee, and a new tag team, Fire & Flame.  Lance is with our first guest, The King, Jerry Lawler!

Russell:  Weeeeeellllll King, Monday Night was another close one for you.  You came so close to winning the AWA World Title.  Let’s show the fans a piece of video from the Mid-South Coliseum.  (Footage airs of the Wahoo/Lawler match from last Monday).

Lawler:  Lance, every time against McDaniel I come so close.  As you saw in the clip, I had him pinned for at least ten seconds, but the referee was knocked out.  Then, he used a chain to beat me.  Well, as you know, I’m no saint and have used chains myself, but not without cause.  Wahoo used the chain just to save his Title.  Wahoo knows I have his number.  He also knows that time is running out for me.  I made the people a promise and I am going to honor it.  Either I win the AWA World Title or I quit wrestling forever.  The math is easy Lance.  30 days to reach my goal.  (At this time, AWA World Champion, Chief Wahoo McDaniel approaches the desk).

McDaniel:  Lawler, I am sick and tired of wrestling you and hearing you whine and cry about not being able to beat me.  Why don’t you save yourself, me, and the fans a lot of trouble and just retire now.  And don’t even hand me that crap about using a chain, because you have perfected that practice.  The fact is, Lawler, you don’t have what it takes to be World Champion.  You will always be a big fish in a small pond.

Lawler:  Well, if that’s the case, we can do this right now.  We don’t have to wait until Monday Night for the rematch.  Let’s have the rematch right now on TV!

McDaniel:  Lawler, I’m wrestling you on TV.  What’s the point?  All I am contracted for is a Title match Monday Night with you and a non-title match on TV today and my opponent will not be you!

Lawler:  Well, I know someone who deserves a match with you.  He’s a former AWA Jr. Hvt. Champion and former AWA World Tag Team Champion with yours truly, Superstar Bill Dundee!

McDaniel:  Dundee?  That midget?  You have to be joking.  (Dundee joins Wahoo and Lawler at the desk).

Dundee:  Hiya Kingfish, Lancer, Chief.  What’s so funny?  Are ya afraid to wrestle lil ol’ Bill Dundee?  Yer such a big man, you’d think taking on a midget like me would be easy.  Surely, the great Chief Wahoo McDaniel could beat me in no time.  So, c’mon Chiefy, why don’t ya be the big man yer supposed to be daddy and give me a match.

McDaniel:  Dundee, I’m not afraid of anyone, much less a shrimp like you.  So, you get your match, but I’m not going to be responsible for what happens to you.

Dundee:  Fine by me Chiefy!

Russell:  Heeeeeeyyyyy, that seals it, Wahoo vs the Superstar is our main event!  Let’s go to our first match.

Match 1
Phil Hickerson def. Charlie Fulton with a shoulder breaker

Russell:  Weeeeeellllll, here he is, the Dutchman.  Dutch, last Monday that Kendo Nagasaki spit some kind of green mist at you.  How are you doing?

Mantell:  Lance, I’ll tell ya.  I have no idea what that junk is, but all I know is that it burned like heck.  If it had gotten into my eyes, there is no telling what kind of damage it would have done.  There is no place for stuff like that in wrestling Lance.  I don’t know a lot about this Nagasaki guy, but I do know one thing, he is very dangerous.  I’ll be meeting up with him again Monday Night and I will know what to guard against now.  Lance, you know me as well as anyone, I don’t like being spit on by any man, but when some kind of poison is spewed, well, let’s just say I don’t take too kindly to that.  Monday Night, I want to beat him so bad he win run back to Japan.

Russell:  Thanks Dutchman, and hey, watch out for that green junk on Monday.  Our second match is in the ring.

Match 2
Fire & Flame def. Gene Ligon & Marvin Turner with a double bodyslam on Turner.

Russell:  Ohhhhhhhh boy, here comes Ric Flair.

Flair:  Lance Russell, it seems you aren’t happy to see the Nature Boy.  Why wouldn’t you be happy to see the greatest wrestler on the face of the planet?

Russell:  Well Ric, you have been here for months and we still don’t know what your goals are.

Flair:  It’s all in the plan Lance.  I have been laying low, feeling out the area.  You see, I’m not just a great physical wrestler, I am a great mental wrestler.  I have been watching the competition and making my plan for the ultimate goal.  I am a former World Champion and I grew accustomed to that life style.  Now, I have gone round and round with that Ric Flair wannabe, Austin Idol.  Well, I am growing tired of tangling with that mental midget, so it’s time for me to rid myself of him and take his Southern Title.  It’s time for the Nature Boy to take a step toward that AWA World Title.  It seems like Lawler and his friends are the only ones who are getting shots at the Chief.  Well, after I’m Southern Champion, I will be right in the Title picture.  But ladies, have no fear.  The Nature Boy still has time for you all.  Wooooooooooo!

Russell:  Booooooyyyy, sounds like the Nature Boy is ready to cause some more trouble here.  Ohhhhh grrrrrreat, here comes Tux Newman and it seems like he has company.

(Newman leads Sawyer out on a dog collar and chain as Nagasaki twirls nunchucks)

Russell:  Newman, what are you doing associated with these two?

Newman:  Russell, I know talent when I see it!  Mad Dog and Kendo are two of the finest examples of human torture devices.  They are blood-thirsty, vicious, and heartless.  They will destroy anyone I send them after.  They only listen to me and will only stop pummeling their opponents when I so choose.  You saw how Buzz left Tommy Rich a bloody mess last week.  And Mantell is running scared of the mysterious green mist.  This may be my finest hour!  No one can stop…..(Tommy Rich rushes out and attacks Sawyer, bloodying him severely.  Dutch Mantell holds Nagasaki at bay until he is sprayed in the eyes with the green mist.  Kendo frees Sawyer from Rich’s clutches and Newman’s men are lead to the back.  Rich checks on Mantell who is writhing in pain on the studio floor.  Several wrestlers help carry Dutch to the back).

Russell:  What in the Sam Hill was that?  Dutch looks like he was hit with that toxic spray.  Fans, we will try to get a report on Dutch’s condition as soon as we can.  Let’s take a break and we’ll be back with our next match.

Match 3
Randy Savage w/Jimmy Hart def. a spirited Swede Hanson with a top rope double axe handle.

Russell:  Ok, let’s brrrrring over Jimmy Hart and the First Family.

Hart:  Lance Russell, this is the greatest day of my life!  Did you see the Macho Man?  He’s the greatest wrestler in the world, baby!  He’s going to win every Title he wants.  And look at my Assassins!  They are going to win the Southern Tag Team Title tournament!  And my Memphis Spoiler will stop at nothing to allow the Family to reach its’ goals!  Tell em Macho!

Savage:  JERRY LAWLER…OHHHHHHH YAY-AH…Jerry Lawler gets all of the Title shots!  Why can’t the Macho Man get any chances at Wahoo?  IT’S FAVORITISM!  FAVORITISM OH YA-AH DIG IT!  They tell me if I want to wrestle for the World’s Title, I have to be the International Champion.  The problem is, Lawler is always too busy to give me a match.  WELL-AH, TIMES ARE CHANGES!  LAWLER, YOU ARE NUMBER ONE ON THE MACHO MAN’S HIT LIST!  AND WHEN I’M DONE, ALL THE KING’S HORSES AND ALL THE KING’S MEN WON’T BE ABLE TO PUT THE KING BACK TOGETHER AGAIN!  OHHHHHHHHH YAY-AH…DIG IT!

Hart:  Don’t forget all of Lawler’s little toadies baby!  Dundee, Rich, Mantell, Idol, Valiant, The Fabs, the Dream Machine, all of them!  They all get treated better by the CWA just because they are Lawler’s friends!  It’s time we took them all out baby!  The First Family is going to rule the CWA and Lawler and his friends are all going down!  (Hart hugs the Family members and they walk off set).

Russell:  Biiiiiiig words Hart.  Weeeeeeee’lll see how Jerry and the rest of those guys take this!  Speaking of Jerry’s friends, here’s the Universal Hearthrob, Austin Idol!

Idol:  (Serious tone)  Lance, I’m not out here for no gaga right now.  Dutch is hurt bad back there.  We have tried flushing his eyes with cold water, but Lance, he still can’t see.  He can make out shapes with his left eye, but he can’t see anything with his right eye.  Lance we need to call an ambulance and get him to the hospital.  (Russell offers the phone under his and Dave’s desk.  Idol calls and thanks Lance before going to the back to tend to Mantell).

Russell:  Boooooy Dave.  It doesn’t sound good for Dutch.  Let’s take a break.

Match 4
The Fabulous Ones def. Bill Howard & Gary Royal.  After the match, the back curtain behind the fans is pulled back and the double doors are opened to allow the medical crew to enter from the parking lot.  Fans watch as they go to the back as Lance reports the happenings to the fans at home.  Soon, the medical crew roll Mantell out on a stretcher accompanied by Lawler, Rich, Idol, Dundee, Valiant, and the Dream Machine.  Lawler, Rich, and Idol are seen getting into a car and they follow the ambulance).

Match 5
Non-Title
Bill Dundee def. AWA World Heavyweight Champion, Chief Wahoo McDaniel, when the First Family interfere and give Dundee a brutal beating.  Dundee is saved by the Fabs, Valiant, the Dream Machine, and Phil Hickerson.  During the beatdown, Wahoo simply watched with a grin on his face.  As the others tend to Dundee, Dream Machine joins Lance.

Russell:  Drrrrream, this darned stuff can’t keep going on like this.  First Dutch and now Billy.  Fer cryin out loud, what’s goin on?

Dream:  Mr. Russell, what has happened on today’s show won’t be forgotten by us.  Dutch and Bill have lots of friends and we will get revenge.  Hart, I know you well and I know you told yer boys to do that to Billy.  Well, there are some hard times coming your way.  You started this and we are going to finish it.  After the graveyard diggin and the coffin buyin, loooooooong time weepin and the Family is cryin.  Hart, your tears are gonna flow as we take out your guys one by one.  Now, let me go check on Bill.

Russell:  Dream, thank you.  Fans, we’ll have an update on Dutch and Bill next week.  Remember, come on out to the Mid-South Coliseum Monday Night.  Nine big matches are scheduled and the main event is a return match between Wahoo McDaniel and Jerry Lawler.  Fans, we need to go check on Bill and Dutch too.  I’m sorry, we just have to go.  See you next week.  (Dave and Lance get up and hurriedly head off of the set).

Newman makes an immediate impact with Nagasaki taking out Mantell. Hart needs to ditch that Spoiler wanna be for some real muscle. Great to see The Assassins here. Vintage promo from both Flair and Savage. Lawler against Macho Man has so much real life history. Great show.
