 Don Coss and Dutch Savage are in the Crow’s Nest with Jimmy Snuka.
 
Coss, “Welcome to the ‘House of Action’. It’s one of those nights where Lonnie Mayne would say, ‘There’s excitement in the air.’ We have the ‘Superfly’ with us and we will talk to him in a moment, but first let me tell you about tonight’s show. Jimmy will be in action as will ‘Playboy’ Buddy Rose and Ed Wiskoski. That would be enough, but then we have three big main events. First of all, in a rematch from a few weeks ago, Matt Borne meets the Assassin. Again that would be enough, but it’s not. Harley Race will be in action as he meets Rocky Della Serra and then, Doug Somers will take on the NWA World Champion, the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes! What a night of action Dutch.”
 
Savage, “That’s what Northwest Wrestling brings its’ fans, action. If you lived in New York, Boston, Atlanta, or any place in the East, you wouldn’t see those matches on TV, but Don Owen thinks you fans deserve to see them, so he puts them on TV. You can’t beat that. Now I want to talk to Jimmy. Jimmy, I know you want a rematch with Oliver and you deserve one. I tried to sign that match for Christmas night in Seattle, but Oliver wouldn’t have it.”
 
Snuka, “He’s afraid of me, bruddah.”
 
Savage, “There’s no doubt about that. I couldn’t get a title match singed, but I did get a tag team match signed. I think you’ll like this, Oliver and the Assassin against you and …Andre the Giant! The giant will be in Seattle!”
 
Snuka, “Thank you, bruddah! Oliver this is just the beginning. If Andre and I leave anything left of you, I’ll take the title next time!”
 
Coss, “I want to jump in here and say that Dutch Savage did an umnbelievable job getting the card signed and I can tell you one more thing, Andre the Giant will be here, on ‘Portland Wrestling’, next week! We’ll talk more about next week’s card as the night progresses. When we come back, Jimmy Snuka will be in action.”
 
Match #1
Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka def. Moondog Morett, w/Superfly Leap
 
“Playboy” Buddy Rose and the Army are in the Crow’s Nest.
 
Coss, “With us…”
 
Rose, “Savage, what are you doing? Oliver and the Assassin didn’t agree to a match in Seattle! You can’t do that!”
 
Oliver, “Listen, I’m the Champion! I don’t have to wrestle in a tag match with that banana picker and that circus freak!”
 
Savage, “Rose, Oliver, it was an open contract. Your lawyers missed another one. You better buy yourself another ambulance chaser.”
 
Rose, “Savage I hate you and I hate Owen, and Coss, I even hate you!”
 
Coss, “I’m just glad you included me. Now about Seattle, Mr. Rose, you and Ed Wiskoski put the tag titles on the line against Stan Stasiak and Billy Jack. Most people think you were ducking them.”
 
Rose, “Listen Coss, people around here are so jealous of the ‘Playboy” and his Army that they will do and say anything. You know we have to defend the titles. I can’t get us out of it, well that just means someone getting crippled, Stasiak, it might be you, Billy Jerk, it might be you, but one way, or another, Oliver and I are going to send someone to the hospital!”
 
Coss, “It’s going to be a great Christmas night. Now let’s see the tag team champions in action.”
 
Match #2
Non-Title Match
“Playboy” Buddy Rose and Ed Wiskoski (Northwest Tag Team Champions) def. Steve Pardee and Rick Hunter, Wiskoski w/Falling Headbutt vs. Hunter
 
Harley Race is in the Crow’s Nest.
 
Coss, “With us is the former NWA World Champion, Harley Race. Mr. Race, you are chasing Dusty Rhodes and the ‘American Dream’ is here tonight.”
 
Race, “Look, Rhodes is the World Champion and that sticks in my craw! He’s a fat Texas hog and he doesn’t deserve to be the Champion. I came here to take the title back, and I’m going to do it.”
 
Coss, “Well now that you’ve said that, I’ll turn things over to Dutch Savage and he will have another announcement. Dutch.”
 
Savage, “Race, I’m going to make you a very happy man. I’ve got a big Christmas present for you. Christmas night, in Seattle, you are going to face Rhodes for the NWA World Title. Dusty is my friend and I respect your abilities. I know this, the fans are the winners that night, two of the top wrestlers in the history of the sport will be at the Coliseum.”
 
Race, “Savage, thank you. I deserve this shot and I know I’m going back to Kansas City with the title. Rhodes, it’s all over on Christmas!”
 
Coss, “Just another big time match for Seattle. What a night it will be! Now let’s see Harley Race in action.”
 
Match #3
Harley Race def. Rocky Della Serra, w/Piledriver
 
Dusty Rhodes is in the Crow’s Nest.
 
Coss, “With me is the ‘American Dream’, the NWA World Champion, Dusty Rhodes! Dusty, welcome back to the Northwest.”
 
Rhodes, “Don Coss, Dutch Savage, the ‘Dream’ loves the Northwest, but I’m not her to be joking tonight. I heard Harley Race out here before, he’s got a big mouth, but he’s been the Champion before and he wants to take this from the Dream, I’m not letting him!”
 
Race comes to the Crow’s Nest.
 
Coss, “Gentlemen, we don’t want any trouble.”
 
Race, “Rhodes, you fat hog, just give me the title now, save yourself from being embarrassed on Christmas!”
 
Rhodes, “Harley Race, I told everyone, I’m not here to play around, this is serious business! Let’s do this right now!”
 
Don Owen comes to the Crow’s Nest.
 
Owen, “Listen you two. You came here to wrestle not fight in the balcony. I’ve got an idea. You’re both here next week. The NWA won’t let me sign a title match, but I can put together a match and give you a chance to get at each other. I’ll work on it and I’ll have an answer before the show is over.”
 
Coss, “Don Owen to the rescue again.”
 
Race, “Alright, this gives me a chance to soften you up before Seattle.”
 
Rhodes, “Race, you might not get to Seattle, the ‘Dream’ is on a mission!”
 
Coss, “Let’s see the World Champion in action.”
 
Match #4
Non-Title Match
Dusty Rhodes (NWA World Champion) def. Doug Somers, w/Bionic Elbow
 
Coss, “Our main event, Matt Borne vs. the Assassin, is next.”
 
Main Event, Two out of Three Falls
The Assassin w/”Playboy” Buddy Rose vs. Matt Borne
 
First Fall-Mat Borne is out for revenge. A few weeks ago, the Assassin beat him using the loaded mask. The first fall is all borne. He takes the fight to the masked man and even Buddy Rose can’t help. Borne slaps on the Stump Puller and the masked man quickly submits.
Winner-Matt Borne
 
Stan Stasiak and Billy Jack are in the Crow’s Nest.
 
Coss, “With us are the two men who will challenge for the Northwest Tag Team Titles on Christmas night. Gentlemen, Rose and Wiskoski didn’t want to wrestle you, but no that they have to, you know they will have a plan in mind.”
 
BJ, “I doesn’t matter know! Stan and I have our chance, and it won’t go to waste! Those titles are ours!”
 
Stasiak, “Billy’s excited, but Don, you are right. Rose will have something up his sleeve, but it doesn’t matter. We are wrestling so well, right now, that we will win and the fans will have Champions they can be proud of.”
 
Coss, “That’s what the fans are waiting for. Now let’s go back to the ring. The Army has more problems.”
 
Second Fall-The Assassin has his back to the wall. This is where any of Rose’s men are the most dangerous. Borne comes out and tries to end the match in two falls. He comes close, but the Assassin survives and then traps Borne in the sleeper and the match is even.
Winner-The Assassin
 
Don Owen joins Coss and Savage in the Crow’s Nest.
 
Coss, “Well Don, Dutch Savage calls you the old fox. Tell us what you came up with.”
 
Owen, “Well Race and Rhodes want to get at each other before the match on Christmas. I can’t sign a World Title match for next Saturday, the NWA won’t let me. I talked to some of the guys in the back and made a phone call and I came up with a three sided team match. On one team you have, Harley Race, Buddy Rose and Rip Oliver, on the other side, Dusty Rhodes, Jimmy Snuka and Andre the Giant.”
 
Savage, “WOW! What a match! Don Owen is the old fox. You’re the best Don.”
 
Coss, “So let’s repeat that, Harley Race, Buddy Rose and Rip Oliver vs. Dusty Rhodes, Jimmy Snuka and Andre the Giant. The eyes of the wrestling world will be on the Northwest over the Christmas holiday! Keep your eyes on our program. When we return, the final fall of our main event.”
 
Third Fall-This is a brawl. Both men slug it out. Things begin to go the Assassins way, but out of nowhere, Borne catches him in an inside cradle. Referee Sandy Barr counts 1…2…3! Matt Borne wins the match! Rose and the Assassin are livid.

Excellent TV!  Big win for Borne...Looking forward to Snuka and Andre teaming...Can never go wrong with Race/Rhodes...BJ & Stasiak are primed for gold...Great stuff!
