It is announced that there are new AWA world tag team champions when the team of the East/West connection, Adrian Adonis & Jesse Ventura, defeated the Briscos for the title on December 2nd. This week will be the debut of Dale Veasey. The TV title will be defended when Dale Mann defends against Mike Davis. In the main event, United States champion Ron Garvin will team with Paul Christy to take on “Surfer” Steve Strong & his partner “Nature Boy” Roger Kirby. All this and much more in ICW. Next week however will start the ICW junior championship tournament. For now, we are sent to the ring for action. ** . . . Dale Veasey defeats Johnny Reeves with a powerslam Dale Veasey is at ringside after his match. He says he is going to win the ICW junior title in the upcoming tournament. It is as simple as that. There are no juniors built as much as he is, can wrestle like he can, or are as dangerous as he can be. He says for them to bring on the George Weingroffs, bring on the Lanny Poffo’s...hell, they might as well just bring him the AWA world junior champion because soon enough, that belt will be his. Anyone can try to stand in his way, but at the end of the day, Dale Veasey, the Hunter, will be champion. . . . ##Commercial #1## Localized promos for upcoming house shows Sunday - Norse Park Inn Convention Center - Georgetown, Kentucky Monday - National Guard Armoury - Elizabethtown, Kentucky Tuesday - National Guard Armoury - Somerset, Kentucky Wednesday - Ernie Couch's Entertainment Center - Manchester, Kentucky Thursday - TV Taping Thursday Afternoon, then Capital Plaza Sports Center - Frankfort, Kentucky Friday - Touring House Show Saturday - Henry Clay High School - Lexington, Kentucky . . . Hoot Gibson & Berry Orton are defeated by Ben Alexander and his partner....OX BAKER!!!! Baker is led down by his manager Saul Weingroff. The match is quick with Gibson caught in a heart punch from Baker in 2 minutes flat. Saul Weingroff stands with Ben Alexander & Ox Baker. He tells the fans that he has put together two huge men, Ben Alexander and Ox Baker. These two are the meanest, nastiest men in ICW. There are no men here that can maintain the brutality these two men posses and once they destroy everyone in front of them then it won’t be long until the AWA world tag team champions come running, dropping their titles to Alexander & Baker along the way. . . . ##Commercial #2## Localized promos for upcoming house shows Sunday - Norse Park Inn Convention Center - Georgetown, Kentucky Monday - National Guard Armoury - Elizabethtown, Kentucky Tuesday - National Guard Armoury - Somerset, Kentucky Wednesday - Ernie Couch's Entertainment Center - Manchester, Kentucky Thursday - TV Taping Thursday Afternoon, then Capital Plaza Sports Center - Frankfort, Kentucky Friday - Touring House Show Saturday - Henry Clay High School - Lexington, Kentucky . . . ICW Television Championship: Dale Mann (c) is defeated by Mike Davis via DQ. Davis does not get the title however. The end came when Davis has Mann ready for the pin fall and even gets the 2 count but has it snatched away from him when Mark Fleming drops an elbow from the second rope on to Davis’s head causing the DQ. Dale Mann comes out to ringside. He says he does not know what the heck Mark Fleming is doing, but whatever it is, it won’t save him on New Year’s Eve. They will fight for the TV title. Now he understands it has been announced that the two of them cannot lay hands on each other until the actual match. That just means that the brutality that Dale Mann will inflict on Fleming will make it all worth it. Mann warns Fleming to stay out of his way between now and the match or he will not be held responsible. . . . ##Commercial #3## Localized promos for upcoming house shows Sunday - Norse Park Inn Convention Center - Georgetown, Kentucky Monday - National Guard Armoury - Elizabethtown, Kentucky Tuesday - National Guard Armoury - Somerset, Kentucky Wednesday - Ernie Couch's Entertainment Center - Manchester, Kentucky Thursday - TV Taping Thursday Afternoon, then Capital Plaza Sports Center - Frankfort, Kentucky Friday - Touring House Show Saturday - Henry Clay High School - Lexington, Kentucky . . . U.S. Champion Ron Garvin & Paul Christy defeat Steve Strong & Roger Kirby by DQ after Ron Wright gets involved by attacking Garvin. The US heavyweight champion, Ron Garvin is at ringside. He is livid, screaming about how Ron Wright got involved with his match. That was something he should not have done. Before it was for a joke, for a laugh, now it is personal. Garvin wants Wright in the ring and if it means taking out both his men, Strong & Kirby in one night to do it, he will. The “One Man Gang” has had enough of the shenanigans that Wright tries in order to get his men a leg up. But Wright will not get that chance when his men are in the ring with Garvin for the US title. Two weeks and it will be all over with the US title will still be around the waist of Garvin. The show ends with Edgar Wallace recapping the action before saying goodnight to everyone. . .
