Sorry for now show last week.....but here is a quick recap of last week and what should have been yesterday's show too.....
 
 
- Two weeks ago, Tully Blanchard and Blackjack Mulligan defeated The Fabulous Blondes to become the new Southwest Tag Team Champions.  Last week while they were doing an interview, matchmaker Joe Blanchard came out with an announcement.  Due to the bylaws of Southwest Championship Wrestling, no one may hold more than one championship.  He gave Mulligan the choice to keep the tag team titles or the Southwest Heavyweight title.  Tully urged him to keep the tag team belts, but Mulligan opted to keep his Southwest Heavyweight title instead.  Tully seemed quite ticked off, and reluctantly handed over his tag team belt as well.  Joe announced that a tag team tournament will be held on Christmas night at the HemisFair Arena here in San Antonio to crown new tag team champions.  He then offered Tully a spot in the tournament, and said that he could arrange for his good friend Jose Lothario to be Tully's partner.  He even gave Tully and Jose a first round bye.  Tully accepted, but didn't seem happy about it....
 
- So this week on tv, Joe Blanchard ran down the teams competing in the tournament:
 
The Fabulous Blondes vs. Ricky Romero & Al Perez, with the winner facing Tully and Jose in the semis
The Fantastics vs. Johnny Mantell & The Hangman, winner advances to semis
The Guerreros vs. The Galaxians, winner advances to semis
 
Also signed for that night, Blackjack Mulligan defending the Southwest title vs. The Spoiler, and Bruiser Brody meets Abdullah the Butcher.
 
 

I believe BJM made a huge mistake...A ticked off Tully is not fun to deal with...Looking forward to the tourney, hard to pick a winner in that one...Spoiler/BJM and Brody/Abby will be good...Can't wait for more SWCW.
