Opening Theme
Roger Kent & Ron Trongard welcome the fans to Heartland Wrestling. Kent tells the fans at home that this week will have the US junior title on the line when champion Tim Horner takes on Prince Maivia. Larry Sharpe is in action. German star Otto Wanz will be in a handicap match. Two will be taking on one in that contest.  Even though the head of the Valiant Empire has suffered a broken leg, Leroy Brown gets his hands on one of the members this week when he takes on one half of the world tag team champions, Adrian Adonis.  The main event will see the former US champion Adnan El-Kaisee taking on Native American, Jules Strongbow in a match that will surely put the winner up the rankings.

U.S. Junior Title: Tim Horner (Champion) takes on and defends against Prince Maivia in a hard hitting, high flying match that ends with Maivia attempting a top rope splash, only to have Horner roll with the momentum and catch Maivia in a pin.

####After The Match####
Tim Horner joins “Mean” Gene Okerlund, holding his title belt in his hands. He tells Okerlund that he is the best junior heavyweight in the US today. He understands that there will be a new influx of wrestlers looking for his title come 1983, but the fact of the matter is, he is the champion, he will be the champion until he decides otherwise.  “Mean” Gene lets him know that people like Japanese legend Tatsumi Fujinami, as well as Black Tiger, and more will be coming to face him as well as former British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight champions, much thought to be the number one contenders to the AWA world junior title. Horner holds his belt up saying that that right there shows who the number one contender in all of the AWA is. Horner claims his belt is not a company belt. It is not the XWZ junior title. It is the UNITED STATES JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP!!! Horner leaves in anger as Okerlund sends us to commercial.

##Commercial $1##

Coming off of commercial, the president of AWA Heartland joins Gene Okerlund. He says he has a few announcements. First one being, after careful negotiations between himself and Stampede Wrestling promoter Stu Hart, there will be a talent exchange that goes along with the coming tournaments to crown AWA Can-Am heavyweight and tag team champions.  His second announcement is that Vice president Buddy Rogers can call himself now the FORMER VICE PRESIDENT OF HEARTLAND WRESTLING!!! Due to several complaints of misconduct and after a careful investigation, it was found that Buddy Rogers was indeed not doing his job and therefore will not be a part of AWA Heartland anymore. The new vice president will be the former AWA president, Wally Karbo. His word is as good as law and if broken, there will be consequences.  Gene sends us to the ring four our next match.

Larry Sharpe is victorious against Red Dog Lane via the submission hold, abdominal stretch. Sharpe keeps it on after the match until the referee threatens to reverse the win via DQ.

####After The Match####
Larry Sharpe joins “Mean” Gene. He tells Gene that he wants in on this Can-Am heavyweight title tournament.  He has the skill to win and besides, look at him. He is the sexiest man in wrestling. Okerlund disagrees but Sharpe continues. He thinks he should be involved and if he is not....well...it will be a crime to omit such a sexy beast. Okerlund rolls his eyes as he sends us to commercial.

##Commercial #2##

After the commercial is over, Kent and Trongard discuss the upcoming card on December 30th. Manny Fernandez comes out and lets them and the fans know that it is just two short weeks until the AWA title is his. No Crusher, no one else to get in his way. The title will be his. He also hopes that Wahoo has a good Christmas because it is going to be his last.

Otto Wanz defeats both Jake Milliman, and Frank Monte after viciously slamming Monte on to Milliman, then delivering a steamroller to both men. The pin was academic at this point.

####After The Match####
Wanz is with “Mean” Gene after his match. He tells Okerlund that he wants Ken Patera out here and that he wants to test his strength against Patera’s. Plus he wants that U.S. title Patera has around his waist. There is not a man stronger than Wanz and there is no man that can withstand his steam roller. Okerlund reminds him of the swinging neckbreaker. Wanz just flexes and asks if Okerlund thinks any man’s arms will fit around the shoulders and neck of Wanz. Okerlund just replies that his won’t and sends us to commercial.

##Commercial #3##

Leroy Brown joins Kent & Trongard on his way to the ring. He tells them that tonight he has Adonis, on the 30th, he has the television title, once he gets his paws on Zbyszko.

Leroy Brown defeats Adrian Adonis via DQ after the rest of the Valiant Empire comes in and attack Brown.  Adonis & Ventura hold him while Zbyszko levels him with his “educated” feet. Once out, the U.S. heavyweight champion, Ken Patera, puts Brown in the full nelson to seal the deal. This attack continues until Bob Roop, Brad Rheinghans, The High Flyers, and Bob Backlund come to the rescue of Brown. They keep the Empire at bay while Brown is stretchered out.

####After The Match####
The new Vice President Wally Karbo comes out. He tells Okerlund that there will be fines and suspensions for the Valiant Empire.  This was done because the U.S. television champion, Larry Zbyszko does not want to face off against Leroy Brown on December 30th. He got his wish.....sort of. He may not be defending against Leroy Brown anymore due to this heinous attack but he WILL be defending the title. Who he will be defending against will be announced next week.  Karbo stresses the fact that Zbyszko will not like his opponent for the 30th at all. Okerlund thanks the vice president and sends us off to a commercial.

##Commercial #4##

****BEGIN VTR****
The video starts with a panned shot, focusing a street sign saying Beverly Hills. As it pans down, the camera focuses on former world champion Nick Bockwinkel.  Bockwinkel tells the camera that he will be coming back to AWA Heartland, looking to regain his US title. He says that all the plebeians, and the blunder-heads exasperate his exhaustion that only occurs when he is forced to deal with and listen to them. However once he becomes the US champion again, regaining a title that has always been his, then he will never have to deal with these poor excuses of human beings again. The time for his rising to dominance once again is upon AWA Heartland. The name Bockwinkel exudes his natural brilliance and skill and the fact this video is being sent as a precursor, it should suffice as a warning to those who hold gold in Heartland. Their time as champion is clicking down as we speak. Tick Tock.....Tick Tock.....Tick....
****End VTR****

Adnan El-Kaisee takes on and is victorious against Jules Strongbow in a hard hitting match. It ends after 14 minutes and a sleeper from El-Kaisee to Strongbow that puts out the Indian.

####After The Match####
Johnny Valiant hobbles out on his crutches. He says he has been on the phone with his lawyers WEIR, GONNER, CHEATYA and they say what that fossil Wally Karbo has said is illegal, immoral, and downright wrong. It is bad enough Karbo and the AWA let his leg get broken, him, an innocent manager, while fining him and his friends for defending themselves. Okerlund tells him that his “friends” have tried to break legs, succeeded in breaking Jay Strongbow’s leg and may have done more to Leroy Brown. Valiant replies he did no such thing and this attack on his character will not go un-avenged. Okerlund rolls his eyes as Valiant hobbles out.
