Show opens as the stars of the WWF go across the screen, we go to Vince Mcmahon and Bobby Heenan who are in front of a black curtain. They talk about the huge Spectrum show coming up next Sunday and how Don Muraco will go after Pedro Morales for the IC belt and in six man action Dino Bravo teams with Rick Martel and Tony Garea to go after Ted Dibiase, Mr Fuji and Mr Saito. Bobby talks about how Curt Hennig beating to a pulp Ivan Putski and Big John Studd will take care of Chief Jay Strongbow. Vince also adds that a special match has been added thanks to some events that happened this week, they will get into it later in the show.
 
Interviews on today’s show:
 
BOBBY HEENAN has CURT HENNIG with him, Curt talks about how Ivan Putski is not of his caliber and is a has been. Bobby talks about how great of an athlete Curt is and there is no way he loses to Putski and Bobby is promising this.
 
SKANDOR AKBAR has TED DIBIASE and FUJI/SAITO with him, he talks about how his guys have been waiting for a match like this for a long time. Ted talks about how Dino Bravo was afraid to face him one on one and had to have his friends there for support but they will be no help once Ted ends the match with his fist drop.
 
DON MURACO has Lou Albano with him, he talks about how happy he is this time of year to get Pedro Morales in the ring for the IC belt, Lou laughs when he talks about how Pedro thinks he can beat Muraco but he is in for the surprise of his life.
 
IVAN PUTSKI wishes everyone a merry Christmas and talks about the only person who will not have a happy holiday will be Curt Hennig after he beats him in the middle of the ring next week.
 
BRUNO AND DAVID SAMMARTINO are being interviewed and Bruno keeps talking about how David really needs to take a step back and be serious about his career, David has had enough and snaps at his Dad that if Bruno really thinks he is not focused why not face him at the Spectrum next week. Bruno seems taken aback and talks about how he will not face his son. David talks about how he will be living in Bruno’s shadow until he faces him in the ring. David promises that if Bruno beats him he will go back to the drawing board but if he beats his dad he wants his dad’s blessing to continue on with what he is doing. Bruno hesitates and then agrees to face his son in a match at the Spectrum.
 
ROCKY JOHNSON talks about facing George Steele at the Spectrum, he wants everyone to know he beat Khan and now he is going after Steele, if he is going to rise up the ranks he will need to beat Steele in the middle of the ring.
 
LOU ALBANO has GEORGE STEELE with him, he wants Rocky to slow down a bit, Khan was luck there is no way he beats a man like George Steele, Steele is unpredictable and nobody can stop him.
 
 
MATCHES FROM HAMBURG ARENA:
 
BIG JOHN STUDD w/BOBBY HEENAN DEF. STEVE TRAVIS/SD JONES
Studd comes in looking impressive and really takes it to both men, after manhandling them, he ends the match with dropping an elbow on Travis and getting the pin.
 
IVAN PUTSKI DEF. FRANK DUSEK
All Putski who uses his strength to wear him down and will not let up. After hitting a body slam he then hits the polish hammer and makes the cover for the win.
 
MATCHES FROM AG HALL:
 
TED DIBIASE w/SKANDOR AKBAR DEF. EL SICODELLO  
Ted uses his ring smarts to wear down the Mexican wrestler, he stalks his foe like a cat and lets his man get no offense on him. Finally, after a clothesline, he drops his gloved fist into the face of his foe and makes the cover for the win.
 
 
DINO BRAVO vs. MR FUJI w/SKANDOR AKBAR
Fuji comes out early and works over Bravo, he keeps him on his heels and really wears him down but Bravo comes fighting back and uses a side suplex to pin Fuji for the win.
 
After the match, Saito and Dibiase hit the ring and along with Fuji work over Bravo good. This leads Rick Martel and Tony Garea to come down and chase the Army from the ring.
 
BRAVO, GAREA and MARTEL come down to be interviewed and they talk about how next Sunday cannot get here soon enough. The will take care of Akbar’s Army to keep anybody else from being hurt by the antics of a mad man.
 
VINCE AND BOBBY close out the show, when they talk about how Bruno will face David, Bobby cannot keep from laughing and he insults both Sammartinos before Vince closes out the show.
 
 
 

Can't wait to see what becomes of The Sammartinos here. Good TV match between Bravo and Fuji. Johnson looks to be on a serious roll.

I am up to date on WWF.  Really enjoy the formula you have with the booking, pacing and format.  It adds to the very realistic feel/
 
Enjoying the Sammartino's angle and also am captivated by Muraco's role and how he & Hennig are being teased to break out.  Studd is working very well...heck, nobody seems out of place at all.
