PNW Seattle, WA," Christmas Night"
Dec 23rd, 2012, 8:58pm

Seattle Center Arena
12/25/82

Don Owen is in the ring.

Owen, “It's great to be here in Seattle. We love coming to Washington, and you fans are terrific. We have a great show tonight. Everyone wants to see Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race and I want to see Rose and Wiskoski lose the tag team titles. I'm tired of listening to Rose.”

Rose and the Army come down the aisle. The Assassin pushes a wheelbarrow with the Northwest Title and the Northwest Tag Team Titles in it. They climb into the ring.

Owen, “Rose, what are you doing with that wheelbarrow?”

Rose, “Don Owen, we have so many titles, we can't carry them all.”

Owen, “A lot of people think you are going to lose two of them tonight.”

Rose, “That's what fools you and the fans are, plus Savage is just a moron. We didn't want to wrestle Billy Jerk and Stasiak because they don't deserve a title shot, not because we're afraid of them. We have to wrestle them, so now we're going to end their careers.”

Owen, “Rose, I don't like you, but the fans keep showing up to see if you get yours, so I'm excited about tonight. You're going to get yours.”

Rose, “That's what you think. We are going to keep these titles and Savage is the one that's going to get his.”

Match #1
Dean Ho vs. Christopher Colt

This is a very close match. Colt uses every dirty trick in the book and Ho counters with wrestling moves. Finally he traps Colt in the Abdominal Stretch and the man from San Francisco submits.
Winner-Dean Ho

Match #2
The New Zealand Sheepherders vs. Billy White Cloud and Joe Lightfoot

Luke Williams grabs the mike from Don Owen,

Williams, “Bloody Don Owen, we were here a few years ago and we beat everyone, now we're back and it's going to happen again!”

The Sheepherders are at their vicious best. The Indian team is very good and they fight toe to toe, but Williams and Miller are too much. They trap White Cloud and use the Double Gutbuster on him for the win. The New Zealand Sheepherders are back.
Winners-The Sheepherders

Match #3
Rocky Della Serra vs, Doug Somers

These two have wrestled several times and it's been dead even. Both men have wins, but no one has a decisive victory. This match starts no differently. They wrestle back and forth and Somers sticks to the rules for the most part. Things begin to go Della Serra's way and he gets a near fall, but Somers kicks out. Then Somers takes over and he comes close to winning, but Della Serra rallies and uses a victory roll for the win.
Winner-Rocky Della Serra

Dusty Rhodes joins Don Owen in the ring.

Owen, “We all know this man, Dusty Rhodes, the World Champion. Dusty, we always love to have you in the Northwest, but tonight is going to be a tough night for you. Harley Race wants your title.”

Rhodes, “Don Owen, it's so good to be in Seattle. Me, Jack Sikma and Gus Williams own this town, but the 'Dream' can jump higher than Jack, and he knows it! Harley Race is good, He's been the World Champion, but now that the 'Dream' has the title, I'm keeping it!

Owen, “Dusty will be back later, but now let's get this team match in the ring.”

Match #4
Rip Oliver and the Assassin vs. Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka and Andre the Giant

Oliver and the Assassin wait in the ring. Rose is not with them, but that means he could appear at any time. A murmur begins in the back and builds to full blown cheers as Jimmy Snuka and Andre the Giant come to the ring. The bell rings and it's Snuka vs. Oliver. Rip stalls and refuses to lock up with the “Superfly”. Finally referee Sandy Barr begins to count and Oliver locks up. The early moments are all Snuka. The man from the South Pacific works over the Northwest Champion and Oliver hurries to tag in the Assassin. The masked man steps into the ring and Snuka tags Andre. The French giant grabs the masked man and tosses him around like a rag doll. Oliver and the Assassin try every dirty trick in the book, but the two mega-stars are too much, The end comes when Snuka hits the Superfly Leap on the Assassin for the win.
Winner-Jimmy Snuka and Andre the Giant

Match #5
NWA World Championship
“The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes (Champion) vs. Harley Race

Harley Race waits in the ring and the “American Dream” comes to the ring. The tensions is thick and both men are focused. Referee Sandy Barr goes through the pre-match instructions. The bell rings and the match begins. Both men are cautious. They have met many time before, and each knows that one mistake cost you the match. They lock up and Race takes over. He has been waiting for this match for a long time. He works over dusty and concentrates on the Champ's neck. He wants to set up the piledriver. The Champion is in trouble. Race sets up the piledriver, but Dusty blocks it. He backdrops Race to the mat. Both men are down. Who will get up first? Both men struggle to their feet. They begin to slug it out. Rhodes backs up Race and then whips him into the ropes. He lands the Bionic Elbow and Race drops like a ton of bricks. Rhodes makes the cover and Barr counts the fall. Dusty Rhodes has retained the World Title.
Winner-Dusty Rhodes

Main Event
Northwest Tag Team Championship
“Playboy” Buddy Rose and Ed Wiskoski (Champions) vs. Billy Jack and Stan Stasiak

Don Owen and Dutch Savage are both in the ring.

Owen, “This man, Dutch Savage, is responsible for this night. He worked hard and tricked Buddy Rose into having to wrestle this match. I'm going to let Dutch make the introductions.”

Savage, “Thanks Don. The fans deserve this match and it took some doing, but Rose ran out of excuses.”

All four men pace back and forth. The pressure is on all four men. Savage finishes the introductions and Barr gives the instructions and the bell rings. Billy Jack and Ed Wiskoski begin the match. The younger Billy Jack uses his massive strength to control the action. He overpowers Wiskoski and thins look good for the Challengers. Wiskoski is able to maneuver to the corner and tag in the “Playboy”. Both men trap Billy and go to work. Even Billy can't fight two on one. Stasiak tries several times to help, but Sandy Barr stops him and this allows the Champs to punish Billy even more. The Seattle crowd gets behind Billy and he powers free and tags in the “Crusher”. Stasiak clears the ring. The Northwest legend still has it. Rose and Wiskoski confer and return to the ring. Both teams tag in and out and the match is very even. Rose catches Stasiak in a cradle and uses the ropes for leverage. Barr counts two, but Stan kicks out. Finally, Billy catches Wiskoski in the Full Nelson. Stasiak cuts off Rose and Wiskoski submits. Billy Jack and Stan Stasiak win the Northwest Tag Team Titles! The Seatlle crowd goes crazy!
Winners-Billy Jack and Stan Stasiak (New Northwest Tag Team Champions)

Great show.  All the big matches delivered, and I can't see any fan leaving the building unhappy.

I liked how you started the main with all four pacing around because the pressure was on.  That's the truth, because you done a great job of buiding up that match.

Just another great show from the best territory on the board.

I am old. I know who Jack Sikma and Gus Williams were. LOL. Nice touch there, Tom.

Just knew that Jack and Stan the Man were going to win but it was nice to see, regardless. Great match between Rhodes and Race. Andre and Snuka are an all-star team to the mx. Always like the brutal 'Herders.

Good stuff.
