Single Match
Animal w. Paul Ellering Vs Larry Hennig
Animal and Hennig try to match power for power with neither man getting any play. They stall out and try it again with the same result. Hennig tells Animal to run the ropes and try to knock him down. Three tries and it does not happen. Animal tells Hennig to try it. Hennig does and after knocking Animal loose, Animal attempts the clothesline, misses and gets hit by a Hennig clothesline. Ellering grabs Hennig’s leg from outside, distracting him. As Hennig swipes at Ellering, this gives Animal a chance to hit Hennig with a giant running knee to the lower back. An Irish whip and a flying shoulderblock later and Hennig is down. Animal picks up the fallen Hennig by his hair and plants him to the mat with a powerslam, then the pin for the win.
Winner: Animal

Tag Team Match
Billy Anderson & Jody Arnold Vs Bob Roop & Curt Hennig
Roop outwrestles Anderson with various suplexes and holds that frustrate the young guy. Roop allows anderson to tag but Jody Arnold does not fare better. Roop tags Curt Hennig who wraps up Arnold too. Almost caught in a Hennig Sleeper, Arnold makes it to tag Anderson. Anderson tries his best but cannot outwrestle Hennig. Anderson tries to get Arnold to tag but Arnold just jumps off the ring apron and walks to the back, lettin Curt wrap the sleeper on for the win.
Winners: Bob Roop & Curt Hennig

Tag Team Match
Baron Von Raschke & Mad Dog Vachon & The Crusher Vs Otto Wanz & Paul DeMarco & Kevin Kelly
The fans cheer wildly as the legends of Heartland, Von Rashcke, Vachon, and Crusher make their way to the ring for 6-man tag action. Their opponents are in the ring waiting. Wans starts the match, overpowering Vachon, who starts for his team. Vachon bites down on the arm of his opponent that makes the fans cheer for their hero. Wanz tags in DeMarco who immediately is thrown in to the corner and the victim of a Crusher barrage of fists and kicks that knock DeMarco off his feet. DeMarco manages to tag Kevin Kelly while Crusher tags Von Raschke. Kelly runs to attack Von Raschke but gets caught in the claw hold that puts him down. His partners try to help, but Von Raschke’s are ready. The match ends with that claw on Kelly, much to the cheers of the crowd.
Winners: Von Raschke & Vachon & Crusher

US Junior championship:
Tim Horner (champion) Vs Greg Gagne
The US junior champion takes right to Gagne in order to show he is a dominant champion. He matches Gagne hold for hold and speed for speed in a greatly contested match between two of the world’s top juniors. This match goes back and forth and the tide fully turns when Gagne uses his experience to turn it. Just as Gagne has Horner wrapped in a Gagne sleeper, Horner lurches forward, the momentum thrusting Gagne to the outside floor. Horner follows and posts Gagne head first before Horner slides back in to the ring. Gagne. However, cannot make the ten count and is counted out of the ring.
Winner and still champion: Tim Horner

US Television Championship:
Blackjack Lanza (champion) Vs Chief Jules Strongbow
The fans are cheering for both men as their team hit a wave with the fans. A quick handshake and the title match is on. Strongbow uses his speed while Lanza uses his size. Backing Strongbow in to a corner, Lanza let’s him go with a clean break. This happens again, another clean break. A third time with the same result. Irish whip by Lanza gives Strongbow the chance to deliver a great chop that rocks Lanza for a loop. Keeping on the attack, Lanza is thrown off the rails until a running Strongbow is leveled by a lariat. This is enough to put Strongbow down for the count. As Lanza checks on his friend, he helps him up only to level Strongbow once again with a lariat. Lanza, not finished wraps the claw hold on to Strongbow’s head, holding him there until the officials force him to break the hold. Stomping on his now former friend, Lanza heads to the locker room with his title.
Winner and still champion: Blackjack Lanza

Prince Maivia & Superfly Tui make their way to the ring. They get almost to the ring when they are attacked by the team of Bockwinkel & Stevens. Posting Maivia & throwing tui in to the ring steps, Stevens & Bockwinkel level the contenders. As the now bloody Islanders are brought to the back, Bockwinkel takes the house mic and challenge the US tag team champions for a title match right then. Jaggers & Williams respond with some huge fists to the champions as the match starts.
US Tag Team Championship
Bobby Jaggers & Steve Williams (champions) Vs Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens
The champs try their hand at defeating the veteran challengers. The brawling of Jaggers was enough to throw the consumate wrestler Nick Bockwinkel off his game, albeit only for a bit. A tag in to the rugged rookie Steve Williams changes up sort of. Bockwinkel, having just been suplexed to hell and back manages a tag to Stevens, who uses his experience to outsmart the bull headed Williams using his speed. Stevens manages to get Williams to charge him in the corner, missing and hurting his elbow. This allows Stevens to trip Williams up and deliver the bombs away for the pin and the titles as Jaggers is busy with Bockwinkel.
Winners and NEW champions: Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens

Main Event
United States Heavyweight Championship:
Ken Patera (champion) Vs Jim Brunzell
The Olympic strongman believes he can do no wrong. He easily overpowers Brunzell, but gets a dropkick to the mush for his effort. Patera tries the Irish whip into the clothesline but Brunzell ducks under and on the rebound flies up and over, catching Patera in a cross body. Patera however, just slams down Brunzell then delivers a massive elbow to the sternum. Patera attempts a second but misses. This allows Brunzell to mount an offense that includes a series of dropkicks that stun the much bigger Patera. Stuns him enough, in fact for Brunzell to mount the top rope and hit a huge missile dropkick that takes the champion down for the three count.
Winner and NEW champion: Jim Brunzell

I look forward to the Brunzell title reign. A little surprised that Jaggers and Williams dropped the belts so quickly. Still, Stevens and Bockwinkel mark a return to the glory days of the AWA. Glad to see Lanza go back to his roots. Horner beating Gagne was my favorite of the night. The team of Roop and Hennig show tons of potential. The six-man was a fan's dream.

Great show.
