International Championship Wrestling Live
December 31st 1982
National Guard Armoury
Elizabethtown, Kentucky

~~ (Referee: Sam Diamond): Lanny Poffo/George Weingroff/Berry O Vs The Boogie Woogie Men (Johnny Reeves & Danny Fargo)/”The Hunter” Dale Veasey
The Boogie Woogie Men let “The Hunter” do most of the work, over powering yet keeping up with the speed of the three juniors on the other side of the ring. The BWM manage to keep Poffo & Weingroff off guard long enough for Berry O to be the recipient of the damage. Poffo and Weingroff attempt to help their partner but are thwarted by the mysterious Izzy Slapowitz and his Devil’s Duo who come to ringside. As the brawl goes on, now a three team between Duo, Poffo & Weingroff, and the Boogie Woogie Men, “The Hunter” delivers a running powerslam on Berry O, getting the victory. (13m 19s)

~~ (Referee: Jim Davis): Television Championship: Dale Mann (c) Vs Mark Fleming
Mann does not hesitate to bring the fight to the game playing Fleming. Fleming however uses this frustration to his advantage as it throws Mann off his gameplan. One off the plan, it is all Fleming. Using the knowledge that Fleming learned from the great Lou Thesz, Dale Mann became a victim of holds and counters that just frustrated him more. Fleming ends the match with a Thesz Press that knocks Mann down for the three count. Fleming gets the nod and the title.  (21m 59s)

~~ (Referee: Emmit Couch): United States Tag Team Championship: Ken Lucas & Ricky Gibson (c) Vs Ox Baker & Ben Alexander w/ Saul Weingroff
Having lost a non-title match earlier to the bigger Baker & Alexander, Lucas & Gibson are much more aware of the sixe difference, this time opting to use their speed instead of trying to just out wrestle the larger men. This frustrates Alexander and causes him to make some mistakes. He tags in Ox, who throws around Ricky Gibson who tags in Ken Lucas. Lucas is not afraid to throw down against the larger Baker, who in turn throws back, only with a lot more power. As Baker gets Lucas ready for a heart punch, he is knocked over by a top rope dropkick from Gibson. Lucas takes this advantage to roll up Baker for the pin, retaining the titles.  (14m 29s)

~~ (Referee: George Hill): Main Event: United States Heavyweight Championship: Ronnie Garvin (c) Vs Bobby Jaggers
Garvin and Jaggers go right for the jugular so to speak. It is a hard hitting match that sees neither man taking a step back in their brawl. As the fists fly, the referee is getting frustrated. The match continues until Garvin can finally reach back and deliver his hands of stone, that knock Jaggers down and out for the pin. (18m 32s)

A good New Year's win for Garvin. Veasey has some interesting times ahead. The Devil's Duo got their biggest props in the real life ICW. Great that you are using the Thesz tie-in for Flemming.

Great job.

Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience!
