Randy Scott sleepered El Santos 1 (Della Serra) Run in by Don Kent and Richard Charland – save made by Fred Curry Int: Fred Curry and Randy Scott talk about putting a stop to the cowardly champions and bringing the tag-team titles back to the fans 2. Tim Tall Tree with the Mighty Igor cheering him own defeated Buddy Wayne after connecting with a flying tomahawk chop from the top rope. Int: Buddy Wayne interrupts Tim Tall Tree’s post match interview claiming that Mighty Igor interfered in the match and that is why he lost. Wayne wants the idiot Igor in the ring next week. 3. Midwest Tag-Team Championship Match – © Bulldog Don Kent and Richard Charland defeated Big Red and Luis Martinez. Charland pins Martinez following a piledriver. Int: The tag-team champions claim that they are the best tag-team in professional wrestling and they can’t be beat especially by a has been like Curry and a never was like Scott. Show airing 12/8/82 1. Big Red splashed Rocky Tom Stone Int: Bobby Colt talks about how proud he is to represent the people as the Midwest Heavyweight Champion and how he looks forward to defending the title against any and all comers. 2. Mighty Igor defeated Buddy Wayne following a Polish Hammer Int: Wayne blames the loss on Igor using illegal tactics. 3. Randy Scott and Fred Curry defeated “Heatbreaker” Joe Cagel and Disco Dupree. Curry pinned Dupree following a flying cross body block. Buddy Wayne watched the match from the broadcast table and talked about being impressed with the Heartbreaker. Int: Mighty Igor and Tim Tall Tree talk about teaming up to challenge the tag-team champions. Show airing 12/15/82 1. “Lightning” Larry Hamilton follows up his debut victory over UFO by sending Sgt. Bobby Golden down in defeat. Hamilton forced Golden to submit to the abdominal stretch. Int: Larry Hamilton is looking forward to the Battle Royal coming up next week in which the winner will become the TV champion and win a brand new color TV set. 2. Gino Brito mgd. by Eddie “the Brain” Creatchman defeated Yaki Joe. Brito pins Joe following a bombs away kneedrop to the throat coming off the second rope. Int: Gino Brito talks about joining forces with his long time rival Eddie Creatchman. Brito claims that their combined intelligence has allowed them to put aside any previous problems and that together they will go straight to the top. The Weasel er Brain says that he has the Midwest Tag-Team Champions in his Family and soon with Brito he will have the Midwest Heavyweight Championship. 3. Midwest Tag-Team Champions – “Bulldog” Don Kent and Richard Charland representing the Creatchman Family defeated Mighty Igor and Tim Tall Tree. Charland pins Igor following a jumping piledriver. Int: Richard Charland claims that we have seen the last of the Mighty Igor and that anybody who gets the ring with the tag-team champions can expect the same. Show airing `12/22/82 1. Sweet Daddy Monroe vs Aaron Hunter (Hutto) is ruled a no contest after John Tolos enters the ring and destroys both men with a chair. The Maniac grabs the ringside mic and declares that you can’t spell wrestling without T-O-L-O-S. He then continues to pound on Monroe and Hunter before completely destroying the ringside area. Int: Tom Renesto announces that John Tolos has been fired from Midwest Championship Wrestling for his actions. MCW cannot be responsible for a maniac like Tolos. 2. Midwest Tag-Team Champions – “Bulldog” Don Kent and Richard Charland with Eddie “the Brain” Creatchman defeated Yaki Joe and El Bracero – the dominance of the tag-team champions continues. Int: Otto Von Heller with Igor Volkoff wants to know why he hasn’t had a match in three weeks. Are the North American’s so cowardly that they won’t even step into the ring against the Eastern Bloc? 3. Battle Royal – Winner Receives brand new color TV set and will be crowned the Midwest TV Champion. Dr. Jerry Graham, Jr. outlasts 10 by using hide and seek tactics to win the Battle Royal and become the new TV Champion. Graham, Jr. uses a sneak attack to eliminate Davey O’Hannon and Larry Hamilton to emerge victorious. Int: The good Doctor is gracious in victory claiming that this couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. He goes on to announce that he is using Midwest Championship Wrestling as a stepping stone. The Graham Dynasty – the greatest family in professional wrestling established itself in NYC and that is exactly where the Doctor is headed. Graham, Jr. claims that he and his Dynasty are headed to the WWWF to headline MSG. From there it will be on to the World Championships but it starts here in Midwest Championship Wrestling. Show airing 12/29/82 1. “Heartbreaker” Joe Cagel with Buddy Wayne defeated Sweet Daddy Monroe thanks to Wayne hitting Monroe with brass knucks. Int: Buddy Wayne thanks Richard Charland and Don Kent for ridding wrestling of the idiot Igor. He then announces that beginning today we are doing things the Buddy Wayne Way in Midwest Championship Wrestling. That means that the Heartbreaker is going straight to the top. 2. “Crippler” Davey O’Hannon forces Yaki Joe to submit to the figure-four leglock. Int: Tom Renesto announces that Midwest Championship Wrestling will be going on the road in January 1983. And thanks to the great turn out of the fans here in Columbus tonight MCW has decided that it will hold it’s very first house show right here in Expo Hall. That show will take place on New Year’s Day. The Main Event for that show will feature “Cowboy” Bobby Colt defending the Midwest Heavyweight Championship against Gino Brito. Fans are also encouraged to join us here on January 4th for another TV taping featuring all of the top stars of Midwest Championship Wrestling. 3. Randy Scott and Fred Curry defeated Otto Von Heller and Igor Volkoff. Von Heller does his best to annihilate Randy Scott but Scott manages to make the tag and Curry pins Volkoff following a flying cross body block as Von Heller continues to assault Scott. Following the pin Von Heller attacks Volkoff. DARK MATCHES FOLLOWING THE TV TAPING 4. Tim Tall Tree pinned UFO (Della Serra) following a flying tomahawk chop off the top rope. 5. MAIN EVENT – MIDWEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – © “Cowboy” Bobby Colt defeated the hated “Traitor” Hampton following a flying elbow drop. New Year’s Day House Show Columbus, OH. Expo Hall 1. Tim Tall Tree defeated Disco Dupree following a flying tomahawk chop off the top rope. 2. Otto Von Heller destroyed Luis “Arriba” Martinez. Von Heller pins Martinez following the Guillotine kneedrop to the back of Martinez’s neck. 3. Fred Curry and Larry Hamilton (subbing for the injured Randy Scott) defeated Rocky Tom Stone and “Crippler” Davey O’Hannon. Hamilton submits Stone with the abdominal stretch. 4. Big Red splashed Igor Volkoff 5. MIDWEST TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – © “Bulldog” Don Kent and Richard Charland with Big K defeated Crusher Cortez and Sweet Daddy Monroe. Kent pins Monroe following a spinning neckbreaker. 6. MIDWEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – © “Cowboy” Bobby Colt forced Gino Brito with Eddie Creatchman to submit to the figure-four leglock after Brito missed the flying kneedrop from the second rope.
