 The matches are taped at the Coliseo de Catano in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Wednesday January 2nd 1983 and broadcasted on throughout Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago via WAPA TV on January 6th 1983  
   
 The show opens to the instrumental of Herbie Hancock’s Rock It with videos of Tiger Jeet Singh, Mr. Canada, The Invaders, The Assassins, Chicky Starr, Hercules Alaya Jack Venneo, El Gran Apollo, NWA World Light Heavyweight Champion Chris Adams, NWA World Tag Team Champions Rick Steamboat and Jay Youngblood, NWA World Heavyweight Champion David Von Erich and ending up with the North American Champion and the pride of Puerto Rico CARLOS COLON!!!
 
Hugo and Rickin welcome the fans to another exciting broadcast of SUPER ESTRELLAS DE LA LUCHA LIBRE.  The holiday season has been a season of change in the NWA, as the World Tag Team Titles changed hands in Chattanooga Tennessee on New Year’s Eve as Rick Steamboat and Jay Youngblood won the titles from Jimmy Garvin and Gino Hernandez.  The WWC wrestlers, office and fans would like to congratulate the new champs and we will see the new champions in action very soon.  
 
Hugo and Rickin throw it to the ring for the opening contest on SUPER ESTRELLAS DE LA LUCHA LIBRE.
 
El Gran Apollo versus Dan Krofatt
 
Apollo finishes off Krofatt with a high cross body block at the 6 minute mark.
 
Hugo and Rickin say that we will hear the mystery man that we saw on tape after our commercial break.
 
COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos of events throughout the Caribbean.
 
Hugo and Rickin are back with a man that needs no introduction throughout the islands, Barbaras.  Barbaras said that his goal is to take the gold off of Hercules Alaya and Carlos Colon.  He invites both men to come out now because he has an offer for them that they need to take.  Alaya and Colon come out separately and stand at a distance from each other.  Barbaras says that his two new wrestlers are here today and they would like to take on the Puerto Rican Champion and the North American Champion in the main event.  Colon looks at Alaya and the two men nod.  Colon says that he and Alaya will take on anyone that he has flown in and beat them off of the island, because that is what he does.  Alaya takes exception, saying that he is just as good as Colon and he can take on the bums that Barbaras has brought in.  Barbaras rubs his hands together, saying that Alaya and Colon have signed their death warrant and signed their titles away.  Barbaras walks away laughing as Colon and Alaya continue to exchange words.  Hugo and Rickin throw it to the ring for the next contest on SUPER ESTRALLAS DE LA LUCHA LIBRE.
 
 
North American Tag Team Champions The Assassins (Don Bass and Bill Smithson) versus DC Drake and Damien Kane
 
The Assassins handle the young team of DC Drake and Damien Kane with a big double elbow at the 10 minute mark.  Hugo and Rickin point out that the Invaders are hot on the trail of the champions and will be here on television next week with a challenge for the North American Tag Team Champions.
 
Rickin tells the fans that they will hear from Harley Race and see him in the ring next.
 
COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos throughout the Caribbean.
 
Harley is with Hugo at ringside, saying that he doesn’t have to worry about that crazy man Bruiser Brody.  That caveman is probably out eating a side of raw meat.  Race says that his smarts and knowledge will defeat any man, be it Brody, Colon, Alaya or David Von Erich.  We all can fight, but when we get in the deep water, who will keep their head, and who will tire themselves out.  You know which Harley does, so he has nothing to worry about with Brody.

Harley Race versus Steve Lawler
 
Race wrestles a thinking man’s match against Lawler, pinning him after a diving head butt at the 8 minute mark.  
 
Rickin tells the fans that Chicky Starr is next and Victor Jovica, talking about a big card coming to Puerto Rico on the 9th of February.
 
COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos for throughout the Caribbean.
 
Victor Jovica has joined Rickin and Hugo.  Victor tells the fans that on the 9th of February there will be a huge card at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan.  The card is still under construction but we have three great matches with Chicky Starr facing Mr. Canada.  If Chicky wins Mr. Canada must unmask and leave the WWC.  In a no disqualification match, Harley Race will face Bruiser Brody and in another match that the fans have been clamoring for the Assassins will face the Invaders for the North American Tag Team titles.  Other matches are in negation, but the NWA World Heavyweight Champion will be in San Juan on Saturday night defending his title.  Hugo and Rickin are looking forward to it and Victor says he will be back next week with more announcements.  Chicky Starr thanks Mr. Jovica for the match and promises him and the fans that Mr. Canada will be leaving the islands.  Starr goes to the ring, as we have our next contest.

Starr looks good against Laine and scores the pinfall victory after a top rope splash.
 
Rickin reminds the fans that the main event is next with Carlos Colon and Hercules Alaya facing Barbaras’ mystery men.  Stay tuned the match is coming up next.
 
COMMERICAL BREAK with localized promos of matches throughout the Caribbean.  
 
We come back to Colon and Alaya in the ring waiting for Barbaras and his men.  Barbaras comes out first, badmouthing the Puerto Rican and North American Champ.  Carlos and Hercules corner Barbaras, which gets the loud mouthed manager to quiet down a little, until a huge roar comes up from the crowd.  A wrestler has crawled out from under the ring, he drops his hood and it is….
 
THE GREAT KABUKI.  Kabuki loads up and both Carlos and Alaya get the green mist.  Both men are blinded as Kabuki delivers some nasty martial arts shots dropping both Colon and Alaya.  Barbaras waves to the back as his second wrestler comes out…
 
KAMALA, the Ugandan Giant.  
 
Kabuki hits a big savate kick that sends Colon to the outside.  While Carlos tries to recover, Barbaras and Kabuki hold down Alaya as Kamala hits a three big splashes on him. The Invaders come into the ring with chairs, which runs Kamala, Kabuki and Barbaras to higher ground.  Both Invaders are asking for water to clear the eyes of Colon and Alaya.  Alaya looks to be in bad shape as he just lays on the mat and moans, holding his ribs.  A stretcher is brought out for him, and Colon is helped to the back by the masked men.  The match is a no contest, and Rickin and Hugo wonder about the health of Carlos and Alaya.  They will have updates on them next week so the fans need to tune in then to SUPER ESTRALLES DE LUCHA LIBRE.
