Commercials

Stack was joined by Tully Blanchard who said it's amazing how many of his so called friends have turned their backs on him recently.  He guesses they are all as selfish and jealous as Blackjack Mulligan is.  He said this week, all over Texas he is going to show BJM a real lesson in tough love as he plans to beat his brains in.  He said as of now, all of his former friends are on notice that he's coming for them, and it's going to start now with Tiger Conway Jr.

Match:  Tiger Conway Jr. def. Tully Blanchard by DQ when Tully rammed Tiger into the ringpost on the floor headfirst.

After Tully laid out Tiger with the post shot, Tiger's mentor Thunderbolt Patterson got involved and was all over Tully as the fans went wild !  Tully turned the tide though with a low blow.  WHile on the floor, he lifted Patterson up for a suplex, but dropped his feet across the bottom rope and delivered a SLINGSHOT SUPLEX ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR!!!  Tully basked momentarily until Blackjack Mulligan came to the rescue and Tully high tailed it.  Mulligan was checking on TBolt as some medical personel came out.

Mulligan went to Steve Stack and cut a fired up promo on Tully, and what he just did out here.  They flashed back to the ring where TBolt was being loaded on a stretcher and Conway was having his head bandaged to stop the bleeding from the post shot.

Mulligan said that Tully was wrong about their friendship, and he could have forgiven that.  But after what he just saw Tuly do, he knows that he is going to have to put this bad dog down so nobody else gets hurt.  He told Tully that his whoopin' comes this week all over Texas.

Commercials

Steve Stack introduced the new AWA World Heavyweight Champion, Jerry "The King" Lawler.  The two exchanged pleasantries.  Lawler talked about getting to defend against all the great wrestlers here in the area.  The conversation continued on this way for a minute until "King" Carl Fergie came out.  He said that Lawler has no right to the name "King" anymore since he beat him for it.  The tow argued for a bit, with Fergie repeatedly talking about how he beat Lawler.  Lawler shut him up for a minute.  He said that technically Fergie is right, but everyone knows who really won that match.  He said that Fergie is no King....but he'll make him a deal.  He asked Stack when the next big card is here in San Antonio, and Stack told him next SUnday night.  So Lawler told Fergie he would give him a shot at the World Title that night....IF.... Fergie put his crown on the line too.  Fergie accepted.  Lawler said it's going to be a great night next Sunday because he gets to wrestle in San Antonio, AND beat the imposter King Fergie.

Match:  Cable Television Title Match
Mando Guerrero defeated Paul Orndorff for the belt via a schoolboy rollup.
Tito Santana had came to ringside and that got Orndorff distracted.  Finally, he went over to the side of the ring and was taunting Santana when Guerrero caught him with the rollup to win the belt.  The fans were very happy as Steve Stack wrapped things up for today.

Blanchard is the best heel in the AWA right now, probably in all of NWA Classics. Great work with him.

Blanchard doing a number on both Conway and T-Bolt and getting the ire of mulligan is super booking. Lawler and Fergie going at it over the crown is an nice diversion. With Guerrero winning the TV title, I wonder where Santana stands on that front.

Good show.
