Don Coss and Dutch Savage open the show.
Coss, “Welcome to the 'House of Action'! We have a hug announcement to open the show. We have a new World Champion. Dusty Rhodes ventured to Ft. Worth, TX and lost the title to David Von Erich. David is, of course the son of the legendary Fritz Von Erich. Dutch, that is big news.”
Savage, “Yes it is Don. Dusty Rhodes is a great Champion, but I have heard good things about young David, and I know he will be a fine Champion. I can't wait until Von Erich comes to the Northwest.”
Coss, “I know Don Owen will work on that. Speaking of coming to the Northwest, we have a newcomer to introduce, Kevin Kelly.”
Kelly comes to the Crow's Nest.
Coss, “Kevin Kelly, from San Francisco, is known as 'Hercules'. Take one look at him and you know why. Kevin, welcome to the Northwest.”
Kelly, “Thank you Mr. Coss, Mr. Savage, it's great to be here. I know the competition is stiff and that's what I want.”
Coss, “You're right about the competition, but you look like you can take care of yourself. In our first match, Kevin Kelly meets Tiny Anderson.”
Match #1
Kevin Kelly def. Tiny Anderson, w/Bearhug
Stan Stasiak and Billy Jack are in the Crow's Nest.
Coss, “With me are the tag team champions. Gentlemen, you have held the titles for two weeks now. There are a lot of people hot on your trail, the Sheepherders for one, the former champions, Rose and Wiskoski for another.”
BJ, “When you're the Champs, everyone wants a shot at you. Rose and Wiskoski will do anything to get those titles back, and the Sheepherders are as vicious as they come.”
Stasiak, “Billy and I worked so hard to get these, we're not giving them up without a fight, and Rose, you better be ready next week!”
Coss, “What Stan is talking about is our main event next week. The 'Crusher' will take on the 'Playboy' in a one on one encounter.”
Stasiak, “Rose, I'm ready, you better get ready!”
Coss, “When we return, the tag champs will be in the ring.”
Match #2
Non-Title Match
Billy Jack and Stan Stasiak (Northwest Champions) def. Buck Ramstead and Rick Hunter, Billy Jack w/Full Nelson vs. Hunter
Dean Ho is in the Crow's Nest.
Coss, “Dean, you beat Christopher Colt last week, but it doesn't seem like he's gone away. From what I heard, he gave you some trouble in Salem this week.”
Ho, “He stuck his nose in my business, but I expect that from him. I was ready and we went at it again.”
Coss, “I know you won't back down. You have some matches signed with him this week in Bellingham,. Seaside and few other towns.”
Ho, “Anywhere Chris Colt is going to be, Dean Ho will be there too. I want to teach him a lesson.”
Coss, “These will be some great matches. Now let's see Dean in action.”
Match #3
Dean Ho def. Pat McGinnis, w/Abdominal Stretch
“Playboy” Buddy Rose and the Army are in the Crow's Nest.
Coss, “With me is the Army. Mr. Rose, Rip Oliver meets Jimmy Snuka later in the program. Many people think this is the night, the 'Superfly' will be the Northwest Champion.”
Rose, “I know you'd like that, but I'm going to let Rip handle this.”
Oliver, “Jimmy Snuka is a pineapple picking savage, and I'm not losing the title to him! Don Owen and Savage set it up so Ed and Buddy would lose the tag titles, but that ain't happening to me. I'm ready for anything, and I'm only going to need two falls to put his fool away and he won't be coming back!”
Coss, “Very confident words from the Champion.”
Savage, “Let me get in here. The only thing I did was give Billy Jack and Stasiak a chance, now Jimmy's got his chance, he's going put a hurting on you, you can count on that!”
Coss, “Mr. Rose, you're going to be back with us later in the program and we'll talk about Stan Stasiak. Now let's see the Assassin in action.”
Match #4
The Assassin w/”Playboy” Buddy Rose def. Verne Seibert, w/Piledriver
Coss, “The Northwest Title is one the line in our main event.”
Main Event, Two out of Three Falls
Northwest Championship
Rip Oliver (Champion) vs. Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka
First Fall-Oliver comes out cautiously, but not Snuka. The man from the Fiji Islands takes the fight to Oliver. He traps Rip in the corner and begins sot pound away. Buddy Rose is livid at ringside. He shouts instructions, but Oliver needs more than that. Rip rolls out of the ring and confers with Rose. Buddy sends him back in, but it's not any better. Snuka slaps on the Fijian Full Nelson and Oliver submits! The Challenger wins the fist fall!
Winner-Jimmy Snuka
Rose is in the Crow's Nest.
Coss, “Mr. Rose, the Champion is in trouble.”
Rose, “Listen Coss, I shouldn't even be up here. I should be helping Rip plan strategy. Snuak cheated to win the first fall, it's not fair! We need to plan!”
Coss, “You're up here to talk about next week. You take on Stan 'Crusher' Stasiak in the main event.”
Rose, “That's another thing! Ed and I should be wrestling for the tag titles, not in single's matches. Stasiak knows he can't beat me, so he's going to try to injure me, well that's not happening! Oliver's keeping his title and Ed and I are getting the tag titles back!”
Coss, “Rose has lots of plans, but he might be running out of time.”
Second Fall-Oliver comes out and wrestles with a desperation. He works over Snuka. Jimmy rallies, but it's not enough. Rip uses the Shoulderbreaker for win.
Winner-Rip Oliver
Don Ownen joins Coss and Savage in the Crow's Nest.
Coss, “With us is the 'Boss', Don Owen. Don, I know you're excited about the Northwest Title match we are witnessing.”
Owen, “It's great to see Jimmy Snuka wrestle for the title. I think he can win it, but Oliver is good and sneaky.”
Coss, “The third fall should be something. Don, I know you've come up here to announce something.”
Owen, “Yes I am. It's been a while since we've had a 'Portland Special' and it's over due, so on Tuesday night, January 29. we are going to run another one. I know the fans love them and we love bringing it to the fans.”
Coss, “That is big news. I know, in the coming days, we will set the card for that. I can't wait. Now let's see the third fall of the title match.”
Third Fall-This is a war! Both men slug it out. Things begin to go Snuka's way and suddenly, the Army hits the ring, Rose, Wiskoski and the Assassin attack Snuka. This brings Stasiak and Billy Jack into the ring. They brawl until the locker room empties and pulls the wrestlers apart. Referee Sandy Barr declares Snuka the winner by disqualification. He wins the match, but not the title.
Winner-Jimmy Snuka (Disqualification)
Coss closes the show.
Coss, “Fans, we are almost out of time. Join us next week for Rose vs. Stasiak.”
