Opening Theme
Roger Kent & Ron Trongard welcome the fans to Heartland Wrestling. Kent tells the fans at home that this week will have The Pretty Boys taking on Prince Maivia & Superfly Tui with both teams looking to move up the tag team title rankings. The television title will be defended when champion Blackjack Lanza meets his former partner Jules Strongbow in the ring. The second semi final for the AWA Can-Am tag team championship is tonight when the team of Duke Myers & Kerry Brown from Canada, take on Steve Williams & Brad Rheingans and in the main event, the AWA world tag team champions, Adrian Adonis & Jesse Ventura, defend against Baron Von Raschke & The Crusher. All this and more folks so stay tuned.

The Pretty Boys (Doug Somers & Larry Sharpe) take on and defeat Prince Maivia & Superfly Tui in a hard fought match. The ending comes after Sharpe catches Maivia with a thumb to the eye that takes him outside where Somers posts him resulting in a count out.

####After The Match####
Larry Sharpe grabs the mic from Mean Gene Okerlund. He tells the fans to listen up. This is now a second win in a row for the Pretty Boys, the AWA’s sexiest men. He says they know the world tag titles are coming their way. They know the Heartland tag titles are coming their way and any other title they want are coming their way. What is not known is how long they want to hold those titles for because THAT is how long they will hold them, until they no longer want to. Bring it on Steve Williams & Brad Rheingans. Bring it on those fossils, Mad Dog Vachon & the Crusher. Bring it on High Flyers... the Pretty Boys will break the legs of the flyers so no more flying. Bring it on any team because the Pretty Boys are going to be the champs soon enough, for as long as they want.

Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee comes out and issues a challenge to the Heartland heavyweight champion Jim Brunzell. Adnan says he has not been given a proper chance and is being held down because of his Iraqi heritage. The Heartland title will not escape his grasp any longer. He tells Brunzell he has until next week to give the title shot or it will be time for destruction.

Heartland Television Title: Blackjack Lanza, champion, defends and defeats former partner Chief Jules Strongbow attacks with such a fury that the referee cannot control him. After refusing to let Lanza get out of the corner, the referee attempts to get between the two combatants but is thrown down by Strongbow on his route to deliver more damage to Lanza. This is what causes the disqualification.

####After The Match####
Jules Strongbow joins up with Mean Gene Okerlund. He tells Okerlund that he is sorry for attacking the referee but when Lanza turned his back and attacked him like Lanza did....his blood begins to boil and all he sees is red. Just like when they were kids and everyone played cowboys and Indians...except this time the Indians win. Lanza better aware, Strongbow is taking that television title.

##Commercial #2##

Roger Kent & Ron Trongard explain what is going on with the Can-Am tag team championship tournament. Trongard explains that last week, the first semi final match had the team of The Mercenaries defeat Prince Maivia & Superfly Tui.  This week it will be the Masters of Disaster, from the Stampede promotion in Canada, going against Steve Williams & Brad Rheingans with the winner facing off next week against The Mercenaries.

Tournament Match for the Can-am Tag Team Championship: The Masters of Disaster, Kerry Brown & Duke Myers, are victorious in their match against the younger team of Steve Williams & Brad Rheingans. The end comes after Williams is hit with two heart punches from the loaded glove of Myers while Rheingans is held inside of the ring by Kerry Brown.

####After The Match####
Bruiser Brody joins Mean Gene. He says how he has heard about Harley Race, still bellowing out how he is going to be AWA world heavyweight champion, how he is going to do this and going to do that. One thing Race will not be doing is beating Bruiser Brody anytime soon. Ya see... Brody does not get world title shots because he can demolish any person in front of him. Brody tells Race that if he wants to make an example of Brody, if he is looking past Bruiser Brody, then Harley Race will be no more.

##Commercial #3##

The United States junior champion, Tim Horner comes out and tells Kent and Trongard that he wants any of these juniors in the ring next week. He wants to put his title on the line against any one of them because no junior in this world can take the US junior title away from him. He does not care if it is El Solitario, Fishman, Lizmark, El Dandy, he does not care. Just make sure next week there is a junior wrestler in the ring for him to defend the US title against.

Greg Gagne takes on and is victorious in the ring against “The Raging Bull” Manny Fernandez in a stiff, solid match. It ends after Fernandez misses with his flying forearm, catches a very stiff dropkick instead that stuns him for the 3.

####After The Match####
Gagne is with Mean Gene after his match. He tells Okerlund that he heard what Tim Horner had to say before his match and if he wants a junior to defend that US junior title against...well.... next week he can defend against a Gagne. Okerlund tells Gagne that it would be great to have Gagne holding gold again Greg says since the High Flyers are on hold right now, it only makes sense for him to go after gold himself.  Now taking nothing away from Tim Horner, he is a fantastic wrestler and a great champion but he has a big mouth and that is nothing that the Gagne sleeper can’t shut. Next week Tim Horner will be in for the fight of his life.

##Commercial #4##

The Heartland tag team champions, Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens sit next to Roger Kent and Ron Trongard. Bockwinkel tells them that the champions are here to scout potential opponents. When asked which team are the potential opponents, Stevens answers with the question of does that matter? Bockwinkel tells Trongard and Kent to just be quiet and let them watch the contest.

AWA World Tag Team Championship Match: Adrian Adonis & Jesse Ventura, Champions, defend successfully against the veteran team of Baron Von Raschke & The Crusher. This is a brawl that ends with interference from the Heartland tag champions who taunt Crusher & Von Raschke until the duo attack the Heartland champs, getting counted out in the process.

####After The Match####
Adonis and Ventura confront Bockwinkel & Stevens about their interference. Adonis says him and Ventura did not need the help of Stevens and Bockwinkel. Bockwinkel tells him to just say “you’re welcome” because they helped the champions retain. “The Body” tells them again that him and Adonis did not need no help, especially from a midget like Stevens. Stevens, being the hot head that he is, pushes Ventura and the fight is on. It takes the entire locker rooms to break this brawl up as neither championship team is giving an inch in this fight as we close out.

Boy, with Stevens and Ventura going at it, I bet the fans were clamoring for them to destroy each other. The Mercenaries going after Brown and Myers sure is going to be brutal in the best way. Good stepping up by Strongbow. Adnan being a wrestler again seems to fit against brunzell. Like the potential of Gagne vs. Horner. The sleeper shutting the mouth line was priceless.

Really liking the feel of Heartland. Will be following it closely.

Pretty Boys getting a push toward Vachon & Crusher makes sense, especially in the Midwest.

Cowboy vs Indian Feud #567 in the history of wrestling! Smiley

Brody-Race would always draw, but might be no fun for Race at the end of the night.

Greg Gagne beating Manny is kind of upsetting, but I guess Verne is still around. Wink Seriously though, Gagne's getting a slight push and Manny is still young.

Heel on heel violence is a good way to end a show!

Ditto, you are putting good match ups on, the interest should be very high.

I had liked the former, more-intricate AWA/Heartland multiple venues (Las Vegas) but can see what extra effort that was.

The new packaging is straightforward, air-tight and top-flight.
