JERRY “THE KING” LAWLER

A video welcomed in the New AWA World Champion

http://youtu.be/DVMU8kEKybM

The King thanks the fans for their support and helping him achieve his life-long goal of being the World Champion.  Jerry tells the fans that being the World Champion is somewhat bittersweet because it will keep him away from Memphis more than ever.  He says Memphis is his home and he will make the City proud by being the best World Champion he can.

RANDY “MACHO MAN” SAVAGE

Lawler was forced to relinquish the International Title upon winning the AWA World Title.  Savage defeated Austin Idol in the tournament final to become the new International Champion.  He has defended the Title successfully against Dutch Mantell, Jimmy Valiant, and Bill Dundee.  Savage wrestled to a 1 hr. draw on 1/28 with AWA World Champion, Lawler.

THE ZAMBUIE EXPRESS & GENTLEMAN JIM HOLLIDAY

Lance Russell welcomed in Ray Candy and Leroy Brown.  Holliday immediately corrected him, saying that they no longer answer to their slave name.  Holliday tells Russell that these men are the Zambuie Express and they will only be addressed as Mr. Elijah Akeem and Mr. Kareem Muhammad.  Holliday says these men went back to Africa to rediscover their roots and upon their return, they formed this militant group.  They have hired Holliday to act as their voice, because after 400 years of oppression, they will no longer speak to the establishment.  In their first match in the CWA, The Zambuie Expressed defeated Eddie & Tommy Gilbert to win the Southern Tag Team Titles.  In the process, Tommy Gilbert was injured by a double splash from the Express.  The Zambuies have steamrolled everyone, but The Fabulous Ones wait in the wings for their chance at the Champions.

“NATURE BOY” RIC FLAIR

Flair remains the Southern Champion.  He defeated Mid-America Champion, Tommy Rich, in a classic 2/3 falls TV match to earn the first AWA World Title match versus Lawler.  He and Lawler went to a 60 min. time limit draw.  Flair and Austin Idol continue their feud and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.  Flair says it is only a matter of time before he gets another shot at Lawler and the AWA World Title will be his.

TOMMY “WILDFIRE” RICH

Wildfire has continued to defend the Mid-America Title with pride and honor.  He has faced, King Kong Bundy and Ken Patera.  Rich is rapidly becoming the most popular wrestler in the area with Lawler’s absence.  Rich has taken Eddie Gilbert under his wing with Eddie’s dad being injured.  Rich has promised Eddie to help him gain revenge against The Zambuie Express.  Look for that tag match in the very near future.

THE FIRST FAMILY

Jimmy Hart has worn a neckbrace since Bill Dundee injured him on New Year’s Eve.  He has vowed to pay Dundee back and has sent the gigantic King Kong Bundy after Dundee to get the job done.  Bundy has pummeled Dundee, but Bill always finds a way to escape injury.  Hart is ecstatic that Savage is the International Champion and now his goal in life is to manage his first AWA World Champion.  Hart has vowed to increase the First Family as well.

Bounty Posters

Even though Lawler won the World Title, the bounty posters keep showing up week after week.  Now, more faces are on them.  Rich, idol, Dundee, Mantell, Valiant, Dream Machine, The Fabs, Jerry Jarrett, even Lance & Dave.  Everyone assumed that Hart was responsible for the bounty until posters started showing up with the First Family on them.  It remains a mystery who continues to offers bounties, but one thing is for sure, whomever is responsible for the bounties is no Saint.

Lots of great things are in store for the CWA.  Look for new CWA TV’s beginning next weekend and a brand new loop to follow shortly.  Sorry I fell behind on posting shows and feedback.  Been doing a lot of unexpected renovations and fell behind.  Everything has finally stabilized and I’m ready to roll again.

This bounty angle is red hot. I like Savage as the International champ. He and Flair are going to make times tough for Lawler. The Z-Express with Holiday stakes a claim right off the bat. Still, with The Fabs looming, things could get bad real quick for them. I like the team of Rich and Gilbert.

Good stuff.

I love the Bounty angle! Gives the feeling of an outside presence. I am not even going to look at your roster to try to figure it out, I am just gonna enjoy the ride. Rich and Gilbert will not end well, I am feeling psychic! lol The Zambouis and The Fabs are going to be money. King Lawler will return and find his lands different then when he left it. Always the problem for a babyface champion...That's okay...Flair is on his trail.

Really good work Mike and I look forward to the next installment! Smiley
