TV Highlights (1/19/83)
Interviews:

-CCW champ, Bob Orton, Jr. and Sonny King say they are tired of wrestling Mr. Olympia.  Orton says that Olympia thinks just because he shaved the heads of Fuller and Golden and has held his own against the champ that Olympia is some kind of big shot now.  Orton says tonight in Birmingham, the big shot will miss his target.  Orton mentions that he hurt Olympia a couple of weeks ago and he will do it again.  From studio B, Olympia says he has come very close to the CCW belt and he will not stop until he gets it to become the Alabama State champ and the CCW champ.  And as far as Orton and the Studs hurting him?  They didn’t get the job done.

-Bob and Brad Armstrong and Terry Taylor talk about their match tonight against the Studs and Ricky Rood.  Bob says he wants to see the Studs bald heads under the wigs and head gear.  Brad says they will try to show the fans at the Boutwell what those bald headed geeks really look like.  Taylor says that Rood has been impressive as a rookie, but no rookie can match the likes of the Armstrongs and himself.  The Stud Stable, from studio B, say they are going to soften up the CCW tag team champs tonight so they will be easy pickings in a title match.  Rood brags about his looks and his body.  He mentions the robe he now has and says how he is the future of wrestling.  He never mentions the match.

-Ron Fuller says he is disappointed in Stan Frazier and how Frazier has turned brutal.  He says he keeps asking himself why Stan has turned dirty.  Frazier responds by saying that he got sick of everyone getting title matches and big money while he had to pass out candy canes and toys to the snot nosed kids in the crowd.  Frazier says all of that is going to change real soon when he hurts the TN Stud.

-The Freebirds talk about wanting to be the #1 contenders to the CCW titles.  Hayes says the Armstrongs are good friends of theirs and a match between the 2 teams would be a wrestling classic.  Gordy says the Grapplers are standing in their way and tonight in Birmingham it is going to get real violent.  Don Carson and his Grapplers say the Freebirds are just a bump in the road for them on their way to regaining the CCW tag titles.

-AWA World Jr. champ Tiger Mask, with an interpreter, says he is happy to be back in the area.  He says Les Thornton is respected around the world and tonight’s match should be a great test for him.  Thornton says Tiger Mask has avoided him for way too long and he is finally getting his chance to be AWA world Jr. champ.  He has Tiger Mask should be prepared to go back to Japan without the belt.

-Brian Adidas and Don Diamond are out and tell the fans they have decided to form a new team.  They say with their quickness, speed, wrestling ability, and youth they should make a great team.  They say their first test will be tonight against the Samoans in Birmingham.

TV Highlights (1/26/83)
Interviews:

-Mr. Olympia says he came so close to the CCW title last week and would have won it if Sonny King hadn’t interfered.  He says he has a solution.  King will be locked in a small cage and will be hoisted above the ring.  This will keep King from costing Olympia the title.  Orton and King are livid, but King assures Orton that he has a few tricks up his sleeve.

-The Armstrongs say that the Grapplers are the #1 contenders to the CCW tag team titles again.  They cheated past the Freebirds to do it, but their method seems to have worked.  Bob says he still has a few knots to put on the Grapplers’ heads for hurting Brad.  Don Carson and the Grapplers say that the CCW tag titles will be theirs again tonight in Birmingham.  Carson says Bob and Brad may both wind up being hurt tonight.

-AWA World Jr. champ, Tiger Mask is out with his interpreter and his challenger for tonight, U.S. Jr. champ, Terry Taylor.  The two men compliment each other and promise the fans an exciting match.  Both men shake hands and seem to respect each other genuinely.

-Ron Fuller and the Freebirds talk about facing the Stud Stable and Stan Frazier tonight.  Fuller says that the Freebirds can have the Studs.  All he wants is to get his hands on Frazier for busting him open the last 2 weeks.  The Freebirds say that it is fine with them.  In studio B, the Studs and Frazier say that the Freebirds and Fuller are going to be hurt real bad.

-Brian Adidas and Don Diamond say that last week they made a great team.  They hope to continue to improve and have a tough test tonight against Les Thornton and Ricky Rood.  Adidas says with the fans behind them, they can do anything.  Thornton says the young team will suffer defeat tonight as he and Rood will take them apart.  Rood seems uninterested in what his partner has to say.  When he takes the microphone, again he talks about his looks and body and doesn’t even mention the match.

-Tank Patton says he is tired of floundering around here in CCW.  He says he has a partner coming in next week and the 2 of them will shake up CCW.

It will be interesting to see who the big man was who went after Olympia. The Freebirds may get their shot against The Armstrongs now that The Grapplers fell. Frazier as a monster is an entertaining personna. Rood bragging about himself cost Thornton. Wouldn't want Thornton ticked at me. Great effort by Taylor against Mask.

Good shows.

Two good TV's...I'm digging the Ron/Frazier deal...I too wonder who King sent after Mr. Olympia...I like the suspended cage BTW...Armstrongs looking strong and I would love to see them against Adonis & Ventura...Rood needs to realize he's only got a year in and is still learning...Adidas/Diamond may actually be a good team...Great job Anna!

awesome work. Reading this felt like watching the real SECW. Frasier did some of his best work here where he was treated as more than a sideshow attraction. It's great to see him getting the push vs Ron. The wig wearing Studs are brilliant. I cracked up thinking about that. With the 'Birds being faces here I'd really like to see Tatum come in as Michael's little brother Franklin.
