MIDWEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
© Cowboy Bobby Colt defeated Bruiser Banks managed by Dave Drason following a bulldog to retain the title.

MIDWEST TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Nelson Royal and Ron Sexton defeated Murder Inc. (Don Kent/Richard Charland) managed by Eddie Creatchman to become the new Midwest Tag-Team Champions. Royal pinned Kent with an inside cradle.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – Frenchy Bernard
Jerry “the King” Lawler defeated “Maniac” John Tolos to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. Dr. Jerry Graham, Jr. accompanied Tolos to the ring and attempted to remain at ringside before he was sent to the back by Frenchy Bernard due to the fact that Graham doesn’t hold a manager’s liscense. The absence of Graham, Jr. seemed to rile the maniac even more than usual and he tore into Lawler mercilessly. In the closing minutes of the match it looked like Tolos was about to capture the World Heavyweight Championship as he had Lawler set up for a piledriver. The King being the champion that he is, however, was able to recover his senses at the last minute and block the attempt by sending Tolos over on a backbody drop. Tolos crashed hard to the mat and the King nailed a fist drop to secure the victory and escape with the World Heavyweight Championship.

Not a great night for Graham, Jr. Real glad for Royal and Sexton winning the tag belts. Would have paid my money just to see Tolos and Lawler. That Von Heller should have known better than to mess with the law and Busick.

Very good work Red. The German Death Match would have been awesome. Dr. Jerry Graham Jr was not having a great night here which is too bad. While not a top worker, he is a great middle of the card heel. The title matches are top notch. I have said this before Red and I will say it again. The way you make top shows out of people that are, for the most part, regional at best, is a true testament of how good a booker you are. Kudos.
