Announcer: Ed Whalen, Jim Davies (ring Announcer) Referees: Cedric Hathaway, Wayne Hart, Jurgen Himmler, Ross Hart, Ron Hayter **The opening plays, showing several Stampede stars of past and present, in action in short clips. We then join Ed Whalen sitting at the announcer's table at ringside. Ed Whalen says he is happy to be back for another week in Stampede Wrestling and what a week of action. It is going to be a ring-a-ding-dong-dandy of a show. ** / 1. Ben Bassarab and Phil Lafon lose to Cuban Assassin and Gerry Morrow Assassin and Morrow tell Ed Whalen that this is just the start. The Can-Am tag team belts are going to head their way sooner than later and then the International tag belts will join them. Whalen tells them one win does not make a streak. Morrow tells him there is no better an international team than them. Hubert Gallant b. Sonny Two Rivers Hubert Gallant is with Ed Whalen. He challenges Owen Hart to come to the ring next week and get the beating he deserves from a 2x British Commonwealth champion. Whalen tells Gallant that he is asking for trouble because Owen may be young but he is a very talented wrestler, just like his brothers. Gallant says he is not scared. Someone as handsome as he is has to be the one to teach that upstart Owen a thing or two about wrestling. He is going to give Owen the beating his older brothers should have. This brings out Owen and the brawl starts with both men swinging and fists go flying all the way to the back. / 3. Jim Neidhart b. Billy Two Eagles Jim Neidhart calls out the Can-Am heavyweight champion Billy Robinson. He says he was cheated out of a good victory by that no good Jumbo Tsuruta and the Can-Am belt is really his. Ed Whalen says that next week, Billy Robinson will be here to defend the Can-Am heavyweight title. Neidhart tells Whalen good because it will be against him. Whalen said that as far as he knows it is against Gerry Morrow. British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Belt: Champion “The Great” Gama Singh b. Davey Boy Smith Gama Singh tells Ed Whalen that in two weeks, the AWA world junior champion is coming to the territory but refuses to defend his title against the world ranked number 1 contender. Singh says that Mask is a chump, a paper champion who hides instead of facing the toughest challengers. Singh has been the number 1 contender since Singh had beaten that punk Bruce Hart on July 14 1982. Almost 7 months Singh has been running around undefeated and Tiger Mask has refused to defend the world championship since he had won it, and that British coward Dynamite Kid refused before him. In two weeks that all changes and then Gama Singh will be the AWA world junior champion. Karachi Vice will run roughshod over the entire territory and then the entire AWA. / 5. Dave “Fit” Finlay b. Mike Shaw. After the match, Shaw destroys the ringside area, chairs against the posts, tables, etc, etc. / / Ending the show with a fade off to Ed Whalen saying “In the meantime….and in between time...that’s it…for another edition…of Stampede wrestling…Bye now”. . .
