We then join Ed Whalen sitting at the announcer's table at ringside.  Ed Whalen says he is happy to be back for another week in Stampede Wrestling and what a week of action. It is going to be a ring-a-ding-dong-dandy of a show. **

1. Ben Bassarab and Phil Lafon b. Gino Brito Jr. and Whipper Watson. Jr. when Lafon hits the savate kick on Watson Jr.

“Champagne” Gerry Morrow & Cuban Assassin confront Bassarab & Lafon. Morrow tells them that they will be the next team in the streak of victories for the Cuban Commandos. Bassarab tells them that they may be rookies, but if those two want a fight, they will get one right now. Morrow replies that they simply cannot do it due to Morrow taking the Can-Am heavyweight belt tonight. Next week however, the beating will commence.

2. “Handsome” Hubert Gallant b. Owen Hart by holding the tights in a roll up

Gallant is with Ed Whalen in the ring. He points at an irate Owen Hart, saying Gallant told everyone that he is better than a Hart. Now he has beaten them all. He slaps Owen, telling him that he is lucky that he is not out of wrestling that no good, crippled brother Bret. This sparks off Owen who jumps on Gallant, beating his butt with kicks and punches until Gallant gets out of the ring and heads to the back. Owen tells Ed Whalen that this is not over. Bret was burned and attacked by those idiots who stole the North American title from him. Bret will be back. As for Gallant, it is not over. The Harts do not give up and now, Gallant cheated to win so he will have to get in the ring again. Next time, Owen will be ready.

3. Mr. Hito b. Mike Shaw with an school boy after Shaw is distracted by the crowd yelling “fatso” at him.

Mike Shaw is in the ring, very angry. He tells Ed Whalen that he is tired of these loser fans yelling at him, calling him names. They are the reason for his recent losses and they are why he cannot go farther in Stampede. Next week there will be a new, meaner Mike Shaw and God help those who get in his way. He has had enough of these disrespectful Canadian fans. There is no way he will put up with that stuff again.  Ed Whalen asks him what the heck he is talking about while the fans keep yelling “Fatso” and “Tubby” until Shaw has had enough and leaves the ring.

4. Can-Am Heavyweight Belt: Champion Billy Robinson brawls to a no contest with Jim Neidhart when Neidhart takes out the original challenger Gerry Morrow at ringside before the bout.

The International tag team champs, Memphis Mafia, are at ringside with Ed Whalen. Ferris tells Whalen that there aint no team big or bad enough, or skilled enough to take the titles from him and Starr. Whalen mentions the Harts, Keith and Bruce. Starr says they are not worthy enough to tie the boots of the Mafia. When asked about the former champions Billy Two Eagles and Sonny Two Rivers, Ferris said the Memphis Mafia ran them both out of the territory. He repeats there aint no team that can beat them for the titles. This brings out “Cowboy” Dan Kroffat. Whalen introduces the Stampede legend as the new AWA Representative. He comes out and tells the Mafia that he is no stranger to Stampede gold, having been a 6 time North American champion and a 4 time International tag champ, so he knows what it takes. He also says he cannot lie. These guys are tough champs, BUT are cocky and arrogant. Starr says he is not cocky, but convinced. Ferris and Starr chuckle over their joke until Kroffat tells them he talked to the matchmaker Karl Gotch and promoter Stu Hart. These two “convinced” guys are going to defend tonight against the team of the returning Cobra, and the newcomer, Super Strong Machine. These two Japanese masked men are ready and going to fight for the titles. Starr and Ferris argue saying these guys have not earned a title shot at all. Kroffat tells them that as INTERNATIONAL tag team champions, they need to defend the titles against INTERNATIONAL tag teams, this time being a team from Japan. When the Mafia protest more, Kroffat tells them the choice is defend or forfeit. Starr tells Kroffat to bring them out and let the fight begin.

5. International Tag Team Belts: Champions Memphis Mafia lose the match and titles to Super Strong Machine and The Cobra after Machine hits the bridging German suplex on Starr while Cobra catches Ferris with a top rope cross body

Ending the show with a fade off to Ed Whalen saying “In the meantime….and in between time...that’s it…for another edition…of Stampede wrestling…Bye now”.

Krofatt lays down the law. I think others in Stampede need to look at what happened to The Memphis Mafia and watch out for him. I am wondering what kind of monster Shaw will be come. Morrow and The Assassin need a reality check. Neidhart and Robinson is one good up-and-coming rivalry. Owen Hart showed an aggressive side today and I, for one, hope it stays around.

Good stuff, Mike.

What the hell is Kroffat doing, getting involved with things that do not concern him? These two...*sigh*....the belts were stolen. Good use and how you set the match up though. I really liked it, just sad Memphis Mafia lost already. Bassarab & Lafleur are going to have issues if they think they can get past the Cuban Commandos. Speaking of the Commandos.... What the hell was Neidhart doing costing "Champagne" his chance at the Can-Am gold?

Fantastic show Mikey. You really got it going.

Great TV...Looking forward to Shaw's transformation...Owen is growing up before our eyes...Robinson/Neidhart was good...Kroffat makes an immediate impact, pity the Mafia had to pay the price...Great job Mikey!
