Opening Theme
Roger Kent & Ron Trongard welcome the fans to Heartland Wrestling. Kent tells the fans at home that this week will have Brad Rheinghans taking on Jake “The Milkman” Milliman, The Pretty Boys will be facing Superfly Tui & Prince Maivia. Kendo Nagasaki, with his manager “Classy” Freddie Blassie, will be taking on George Weingroff. In a US television title match, Blackjack Lanza will defend against Lanny Poffo. In the main event, Jumbo Tsuruta, with manager “Classy” Freddie Blassie, will take on Bad News Allen in a battle of Olympians.  We get sent to the ring for some great mat action.

Brad Rheinghans takes on and defeats Jake Milliman in a great match that has a beautiful butterfly suplex from Rheinghans that ends the match.

####After The Match####
Rheinghans meets up with Mean Gene Okerlund. He tells Okerlund that his partner, Steve Williams has left the territory. He called up Rheinghans and said he cannot handle the competition but Brad wants all the wrestlers in the back to know that he can. He will still be here and he is coming for Blackjack Lanza. It has been a year since he started in Heartland and in this year he has seen and heard a lot. Now it is the time for Rheinghans to branch out and go after what he needs and wants and that is the US Television title. Okerlund wishes him good luck as we are sent to commercial.

Harley Race joins Mean Gene. Race tells Okerlund that every time he comes out here, he calls out Bruiser Brody and every time he comes out here, Brody never replies. Is it that Brody is scared of Race? Race is willing to bet he is. Okerlund tells Race that there is no way Bruiser Brody is scared of Race, Brody is not scared of anything or anyone. This irks Race who asks then why Brody is nowhere to be seen whenever Race is in the territory. Race interrupts Okerlund saying that there is no other reason. Race issues a final challenge saying that if Brody does not show up soon, Race is going to come looking for him. When that happens, Brody will not end up happy. Okerlund agrees with that as we get sent to the ring for tag team action.

The Pretty Boys (Larry Sharpe & Doug Somers) are on a roll now, defeating Prince Maivia & Superfly Tui after Sharpe catches Maivia with a sleeper, right in the centre of the ring.

####After The Match####
The Pretty Boys take the mic from Okerlund, preferring to talk themselves. Sharpe demands to know where the Can-Am tag team champions are because the Pretty Boys are on a roll and want those title belts around their waists. Sharpe tells the fans at home that next week they want new challengers, REAL challengers because they are tired of beating losers and idiots. Hector & Mando Guerrero come out and confront The Pretty Boys. Hector lets Sharpe and Somers know that the Guerreros are no losers and no idiots, as well as if those two “Pretty Boys” want a match, next week the Guerreros will wait for those two sissies to get “froggy” and jump at them in the ring. Sharpe tells them to get out of his sight and head back to the border because next week will be the Guerreros’ last week in Heartland Wrestling.

##Commercial #2##

Wally Karbo joins Mean Gene Okerlund as well as AWA President Verne Gagne. Verne has the Heartland United States championship belt in his hands. Wally Karbo tells Okerlund that since Jim Brunzell was injured due to the fire throwing incident on January 27th, the title is now vacant. He has talked to Verne Gagne about the incident and now the title is open. That being said, the man who threw the fire on the 27th, Sheik Adnan El-Kaisee is banned from the tournament. Gagne lets the fans and Okerlund know that the full AWA supports Wally Karbo and this decision to ban El-Kaisee from this tournament. Gagne adds that the injury to Jim Brunzell, while not too serious, is enough that he will not be able to defend the title. Now… about this tournament. Next week there will be the brackets announced, with the winner being the U.S. champion. Karbo announces that on March 15th , in Winnipeg, Manitoba…, Jim Brunzell will be back in action and it there will be a tag team match that will put Sheik Adnan with a partner of his choice against …..THE HIGH FLYERS!!!!!! Greg Gagne comes out and tells the fans that it will be the downfall of Adnan and whoever he brings with him. The Highflyers are coming back and will teach the Sheik that it is not a good thing to play with fire. March 15th and the Sheik will be sent back to the Middle East.

Kendo Nagasaki w. “Classy” Freddie Blassie takes on and is victorious against George Weingroff in a hard fought match. Weingroff came up short after Nagasaki catches him in the face with the green mist that blinds the already poorly sighted wrestler.

####After The Match####
“Classy” Freddie Blassie and Kendo Nagasaki join Mean Gene Okerlund in front of the AWA Heartland sign. Blassie tells Okerlund that he has come to Heartland to impart his wisdom to the masses and all the pencil neck geeks out there. Besides being a world class wrestler and a champion head and shoulders above champions, he is a manager of great wrestlers and with his mind for this sport, his drive to be the top of the sport, his charges can only go up. For example, all the geeks saw what Kendo Nagasaki did to that loser. What do they think will happen next week, or the week after that? Nagasaki wants in that US title tournament and it will happen, or there will be hell to pay.

##Commercial #3##

A VTR is played set to the tune of Black Sabbath’s Iron Man. It shows “Precious” Paul Ellering walking to the ring, leading two monstrous men, faces with paint, all in black and looking dangerous as all get out. It fades to the two men lifting weights, huge amounts of poundage as Ellering talks in the background. He tells the people at home that next week his Legion Of Doom will be coming to Heartland and when they do, everyone will star running. His Hawk & Animal are the start, the Genesis, the beginning, but they will not be the ending. Never before has wrestling seen to monsters like Hawk & Animal. Never before has wrestling had to deal with the destruction that these two men will deliver. Then, when they have dominated and decimated all of professional wrestling, the Legion of Doom will expand until all of Heartland has run and hid. The VTR ends and Kent & Trongard admit they have never seen a larger, more well….scary team than Hawk & Animal and as long as Ellering leads them, then that is even more deadly.

U.S. Television Title Match: Blackjack Lanza (Champion) w. Johnny Valiant defends the title successfully against Lanny Poffo after Poffo was disqualified. The reason for the DQ was blatant interference from Baron Von Raschke who ran in and attacked the champion right in front of the referee.

####After The Match####
Lanza tells Mean Gene that Von Raschke is chompin’ at the bit a little too much, if you know what he means. The TV title has been around the waist of Lanza for a long time and it will stay there until he decides it is time to let it go. Johnny Valiant tells Okerlund that Lanza is with him under the Valiant Empire as its premier singles champion. Yeah, Valiant is the manager of champions. With the world tag team champions and now the US Television champion. Could life get better? Okerlund brings up the US tag team champions, Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens and their issues with the world tag team champions, Ventura & Adonis. Valiant tells Okerlund to mind his own business and that it is one thing to be the tag team champions of Heartland, but another to be the WORLD tag team champions. Yeah, Lanza is the television champion in Heartland, but that is because the world chumpion Jerry Lawler is scared to face a man the size of Lanza. The Valiant Empire is covered in gold and that will not change.

##Commercial #4##

Blassie smirks as he leads his other charge, Jumbo Tsuruta, to the ring. He can be heard saying that this man will be AWA World champion one day as Kent & Trongard can do nothing but agree as we head to the ring for the main event.

Jumbo Tsuruta w. “Classy” Freddie Blassie takes on Bad News Allen in a great back and forth, wrestling clinic. The end of the match comes when Tsuruta catches Bad News with a bridging German suplex, using his 6’6 , 290lb frame to his advantage in holding down Allen, for the pin.

####After The Match####
The Heartland U.S. tag champions, Nick Bockwinkel & Ray Stevens are with Mean Gene. Bockwinkel tells Gene that he has heard what that plebeian John Valiant has said and it makes no sense. There is no way that he understands the pressures of being a world champion better than Bockwinkel. He is falsely stating fiction as fact. Yes Ventura is a well-developed, muscular man. Yes Adonis is a heck of a professional wrestler but they have never faced off against a team like Bockwinkel & Stevens. Between Bockwinkel & Stevens, there are more championship title reigns than Ventura & Adonis can ever dream or imagine.  The games that the world champions play will only serve to annoy and rile up both Bockwinkel and Stevens and that….that will be the downfall of Adonis and Ventura.

The arrogant Ventura and Adonis against the veteran and polished team of Bock and Stevens would pack them in for sure. Lanza and Lawler is an intriguing match-up. Can't wait for the U.S. Title Tourney brackets. The Pretty Boys are way to cocky. They need to be taken down a peg or two. Great win by Jumbo. Fantastic TV main event.

I...AM....IRON...MAN!!!!!! Freakin' awesome.

I like how you are progressing nicely, getting all your stuff hit without over doing it. Jumbo Vs Bad News would have been the best match to watch for sure.

Good showing Matt.
