Florida House Show 2/13/83 - Windham v. Valentine
Feb 15th, 2013, 3:46pm

Championship Wrestling from Florida presents: Live Professional Wrestling
2/13/83 from the Auditorium in Palm Beach, Florida

*Tonight’s matches are sanctioned by CWF and contested under the rules of the National Wrestling Alliance*

- The Nightmare defeats George Barnes with a gord buster.

- “the Judge” Paul DeMarco defeats Pete Doherty with a sleeper hold.

- “Macho Man” John Ringer and Hercules Stevenson defeat “Commando” Mike Boyette and Terry Orndorff after Ringer dropped Boyette with a pile driver.

- Florida TV Champion Brett Sawyer wrestles Ron Garvin to a 20 minute draw.

- “Maniac” Mark Rocco defeats “Professor” Bill Ash with a bridging German suplex.

- In a brass knuckles rules match, Kevin Sullivan defeats Jake Roberts by referee’s stoppage after somehow handcuffing Roberts to the ropes and pummeling him in the ribs.

- With the Florida Heavyweight Title on the line, Butch Reed defeats Mr. Pogo via disqualification after the Missing Link hit the ring and pounded away on Reed in a 2 on 1 attack.

- The Malenko Brothers defeat Bob Sweetan and Mike George to regain the Florida Tag Team titles after Mike and Bob collided after Joe Malenko reversed an Irish whip and rolled up a staggered Sweetan for the victory.

- In a lights out main event, Southern Heavyweight Champion Greg Valentine defeats Barry Windham with a figure four leg lock that punished the heavily braced knee of Windham. Windham seemed to control the early portion of the match, but the obvious pain in his knee and the wear and tear of a longer match was just too much for the youngster to overcome against the former World champion.

Good show from Florida. Would have loved to have seen Kevin busting up Jake. And a big win by Valentine and the Malenko Brothers.

Sullivan vs Roberts is a war that will be talked about for years to come.
Dough boy Sawyer shocked me by holding OMG to a draw.
Valentine took Windham to school. I hope the Hammer challenges the King in the near future.

Valentine showed Windham that it is way to soon in his recovery to beat someone of his caliber. Great win by The Malenkos. Rocco sure showed Ash. Sawyer going a draw with Garvin was impressive. Even someone as good as Reed can't beat a force like Pogo and Link. Sullivan sure showed Roberts, no doubt there.

Exciting house show action.
