Pacific Wrestling Federation KTVU Studio Sacramento, CA January 20, 1983 Syndicated across California as: Big Time Wrestling (northern CA) Announcer: Hank Renner Hollywood Wrestling (southern CA) Announcer: Jeff Walton The show started with footage from last week. First, Samula caught World Television Champion Billy Robinson in a sunset flip to win the title. Then, Samula was shown backstage with his father Afa and uncle Sika, as well as Bugsy McGraw and others, celebrating his win. "Exotic" Adrian Street defeated United States Heavyweight Champion "Crusher" Jerry Blackwell by count out in 7 minutes. Street was near defeat and rolled out of the ring to escape. Blackwell followed him out, and a chase around the ring resulted. Street escaped back into the ring and was shocked to find he'd won. The match over or not, Blackwell came back in and gave Street an avalance for his trouble. Street ended up being carried out. Renner ran down the card for this Friday's card at the Cow Palace Pat Patterson vs. Col. Buck Robley Annual Cow Palace Battle Royal: "Crusher" Jerry Blackwell, Afa, Sika, Bugsy McGraw, "Pistol" Pez Whatley, Bob Backlund, Gypsy Joe, Black Gordman, Great Goliath, "Crazy" Luke Graham, The "Intelligent, Sensational" Destroyer, Alexis Smirnoff World Television Champion Samula vs. Billy Robinson Riki Choshu & Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Pirata Morgan & Satanico Dos Caras vs. Gene Lewis A video package highlighting the situation between Pat Patterson and Col. Buck Robley was shown, followed by interviews from each. "Pat Patterson, I attacked you for one reason," Robley said. "I wanted a shot at a main event! I wanted the crooked promoters in California to give me the matches I deserved. Now I've got you in a match at the Cow Palace, the jewel of the territory. And that's where I'm going to beat you like the low-down, dirty dog you are!" "The time for words is over," Patterson said. "I don't have anything left to say. My neck still hurts, I'm still sore. The doctors told me to take six months off. Buck Robley, I want you to remember what you did to me. I want you to think about it while we're in the ring, because you should thank me. You should thank me for not taking that six months off. If I did, and was at 100%, I promise you, what I'm going to do to you would be even worse!" Gypsy Joe defeated Buzz Tyler by referee stoppage in 4 minutes. Joe hit two kneedrops off the top rope, and was setting up for a third when the referee called the match off. Bob Backlund pinned Alexis Smirnoff after an atomic drop in 6 minutes. Smirnoff used some rough tactics early, but Backlund eventually took control for the balance of the match. Postmatch, Backlund was all set for a postmatch interview when he was attacked out of nowhere by a hugely muscled man wearing war paint on his face. Backlund was leveled by a big boot to the face, then press slamed onto and over the announcer's table. At this point, the Grand Wizard, wearing a black version of his usually colorful suit, came into view directing traffic. The huge man stood over a broken Backlund as the show faded to black.
