Dos Caras defeated Gene Lewis in 9 minutes with a huricanrana. The Grand Wizard came out with his mysterious new charge before the battle royal. I give you King Konga! Pray for his mercy, for he has none!" King Konga took "Crazy" Luke Graham's place in the battle royal. "Pistol" Pez Whatley won the Annual Cow Palace Battle Royal in 32 minutes, last eliminating the "Intelligent, Sensational" Destroyer. Order of elimination: Gypsy Joe was tossed out by Bob Backlund. Bugsy McGraw was gorilla pressed and thrown out by Konga. Afa was pinned by the Destroyer after Konga knocked him out with a boot to the face. Alexis Smirnoff eliminated himself to escape from Konga. Backlund was pressed from the ring to the floor by Konga. Konga was eliminated when he jumped over the top rope to the floor to continue beating on Backlund. United States Heavyweight Champion "Crusher" Jerry Blackwell was thrown over the top rope by Black Gordman, Great Goliath and the Destroyer. Gordman and Goliath were eliminated when Whatley ducked and Gordman clotheslined his partner and himself over the top rope. Sika was eliminated when the Destroyer pulled down the top rope from the ring apron, and his own momentum took him out. The Destroyer was pinned by Whatley with a German suplex. Riki Choshu & Yoshiaki Yatsu defeated Pirata Morgan & Satanico in 4 minutes when Choshu made Morgan submit to the scorpion deathlock. Buck Robley defeated Pat Patterson by reverse decision. Patterson won the match in 26 minutes with a figure-four leglock, but refused to break the hold. It took several ringside officials to tear him away. Afterwards, Patterson picked Robley up and delivered a piledriver.
