Walton welcomes fans to the new show, and promised the same great stars and action, along with new surprises!
The Grand Wizard came out with his newest find, King Konga.
"I spent the last month traveling the world, wandering, aimlessly for an answer," the Wizard said. "I found myself in the fertile crescent, the birthplace of humanity, and inhumanity. There I met the old man in the mountain. He read to me from the Necronomicon, and I meditated for seven days and seven nights. On the seventh night, a vision came to me, of an invincible warrior, that no man could stop.
"So I journeyed to the very edge of the world, the island paradise of Tonga, where I found this massive force of nature, King Konga. I begged him to come back with me to civilization, so that he may wreck my revenge. I had no need for my money. He wasn't interested in women, fame or power. There was only one thing King Konga wanted, a blood sacrifice! And that's what you are Bobby Backlund! You're the living embody of all that is good, and before he levels my revenge, he will devour your soul!"
COMMERCIAL BREAK
King Konga defeated Cyclone Negro in 3 minutes following a diving headbutt from the top rope. Negro had to be transported from the ring in a stretcher postmatch.
A music video promoting the upcoming debut of Koko Ware was shown, to the tune of "Beat It" by Michael Jackson.

A taped message from Buck Robley was shown from his hospital bed.
"Pat Patterson, I'll give you credit," he said. "I'll give you credit for doing your best to take me out. I've got torn ligaments in my left knee and a deep tissue contusion. You gave me a concussion. Basically, you took me out of commission, just like I did to you.
"I bet you think I'm in your rear view mirror. You're right, and you're wrong. I'm on the shelf for about six weeks. That's all well and good, because I'm still going to put you on the shelf permanently. I'm putting a bounty on you, Patterson, and there are a lot of guys coming to collect. Watch your back!"
Back at the Olympic, Patterson didn't seem concerned.
"I'm ready for anything he can throw at me!" he said.
Brian Blair pinned Gene Lewis with an abdominal stretch into a cradle in 6 minutes.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Clips from the Cow Palace Battle Royal were shown, including King Konga wrecking havoc, and "Pistol" Pez Whatley eliminating Black Gordman, Great Goliath and the "Sensational, Intelligent" Destroyer to win the match.
Black Gordman & Great Goliath defeated Steve & Scott Armstrong in 4 minutes when Gordman pinned Scott rolling the diamond twist. They threw both Armstrongs out of the ring postmatch.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
World Television Champion Samula defeated Riki Choshu in 8 minutes. He ducked Choshu's big lariat off the ropes and hit a thrust kick for the win.
Bob Backlund came out for an interview.
"I don't know what the Grand Wizard is talking about, traveling the world, blood sacrifices, whatever," Backlund said. "It sounds like a bunch of excuses. The men he's been managing haven't been winning matches, and then he decides it's my fault or something? I wasn't even here until last week!"
"Well I'm here now, and if you want to send that King Konga after me, or Luke Graham or anyone else, that's just fine. I'm here this week, I'll be here next week, and every week after that. So you bring King Konga or anybody else out here next week, and we'll finish this!"
