Announcers:  Lance Russell & Dave Brown
Referees:  Jerry Calhoun, Paul Morton, Frank Morrell, & Tommy Gilbert

LANCE RUSSELL & DAVE BROWN

Bullet Points:

*Bounty posters continue to come in.
*Eddie Gilbert suffered 3 broken ribs at the hands of the Double Cross gang last week.
*King Kong Bundy def. Tommy Rich for the Mid-America Title on Monday, but Rich regained it.
*More and more people think Flair is behind the bounties.

TOMMY RICH

Bullet Points:

*King Kong Bundy is one of the biggest men he has ever faced.
*Bundy won a battle, but not the war when he temporarily was Mid-America Champion
*Is tired of seeing his friends hurt and wants to know who is putting the bounties up.

DOUBLE CROSS GANG

Bullet Points:

*Found $3.000 in an envelope when they arrived at the Studio for breaking Eddie Gilbert’s ribs.
*State they have no idea who is putting up the bounties, but are glad because it means easy money for them.
*All 3 say they want Title matches so they can get ahold of Lawler when he defends the AWA World Title here.
*Hansen says that is where the big money is and all of them laugh.

AUSTIN IDOL

Bullet Points:

*Wants both Flair & Savage in the ring.  He feels he could take either Title at any time.
*Says it’s time for the heroes to make a stand and since Lawler is not around much, he volunteers to be the leader.
*Warns anyone who messes with him or his friends that he can play dirty too.

RIC FLAIR, SOUTHERN CHAMPION

Bullet Points:

*Claims he is the best Southern Champion ever.
*States that he may have to look elsewhere for suitable challengers.
*When asked about being behind the bounties again, Flair continues to deny he is involved.
* Sternly warns Lawler that next time they meet in the ring, Jerry will be a former AWA World Champion.

THE FIRST FAMILY

Bullet Points:

*Hart says he has had 2 very interesting phone calls this week about people wanting to join the First Family.
*Savage says that Lawler is hiding from him and is afraid to come back to Memphis to face the #1 contender, The Macho Man.
*Bundy boasts that he beat Rich once and he can do it again.
*Hart still insists that he is not behind the bounties.

THE FABULOUS ONES

Bullet Points:

*Stan says too many of their friends are being hurt for money and he agrees with Idol that they should all watch each other’s backs.
*Steve says the Southern Tag Team Champions, The Zambuie Express, keep running during their matches and keeping the Titles by countout.
*Steve suggests a double chain match or a cage match.  This brings out…

GENTLEMAN JIM HOLLIDAY & THE ZAMBUIE EXPRESS

Bullet Points:

*Holliday says his men will never be put in chains like their ancestors or put in a cage like an animal.
*He continues by saying if the Fabs were any good, they could win in a normal match.
*Holliday pokes Keirn in the chest and says maybe the Fabs will be the next men to have a bounty collected on them.  This causes a wild studio brawl that has to be broken up by the wrestlers in the back.

Televised Matches:

*Dutch Mantell def. Tony Russo with a side Russian legsweep
*Bill Dundee def. Charlie Fulton with a bombs away kneedrop
*Fire & Flame def. The Kentucky Wildcats with a shoulder breaker by Flame
*Jimmy Valiant & The Dream Machine def. Thunderfoot #1 & Rusty Brooks with an elbowdrop by Valiant on Brooks

Trying a new format.  Please let me know whether you like this one or the one with dialogue best.  Thanks.  Mike.

Another bounty may have been collected with Dream Machine getting hurt. Idol stepping up to lead may put a bigger target on him. The Express getting countouts may push those chains and changes. Wonder who is calling Hart. Flair and Lawler continue to drive toward a showdown. Don't know how long Rich will be able to fight off the massive Bundy.

I like the condensed format as far as making it a quicker read. But, I do enjoy your dialogue. Catch-22. Good stuff, nonetheless.

I like both ways you do it. This works just fine but the dialogue is always a plus when you write it. I like what the Double Cross Gang is doing.  Wink Wink Wink

I'm not caught up on all the storylines yet, but I liked the format. A quick, enjoyable read!

The Leader of the Pack angle could be a classic with Idol, Rich, Dundee, Dutch and Handsome all in the area at the same time and all being great on both sides of the fence. All hell breaking loose with Jerry Lawler coming in to hold a Come to Jesus meeting would be awesome. The friendships and animosities between those 5 could carry the CWA for years to come.

The only problem is that as great as the DCG is I can't see anyone taking the spotlight from them.
I didn't miss the fake Southern Heavyweight Champion in the least. As great as Flair is he just doesn't seem to fit in with everything else going on here. I'd like to see him spend more time in CWF or touring the AWA.

the new format is great. There are lots of times when the addition of photos etc. seems to overshadow the writing but with this format it works perfectly.

I Love the Double Cross Gang! The Funks and Hansen can cause all kinds of trouble. Funny how Idol thinks he should be incharge. Like Red said, that could play out very interestingly. Always a good day when The Kentucky Wildcats lose. LOL.
The new format is good, but you are very good with dialogue. Great stuff! Smiley

The territory is going great guns, I'm liking all the programs that are set.

Format?  I am good both ways, always worth trying a new way to go.  As mentioned, it dilutes any dialogue.

I am OK with the fact some use the banter and chat in different ways.  But, Memphis always seems to have strong talkers.

Do what you feel like at any given moment!  I can see even a post where there is only one key promo you want to do verbatim, doesn't mean you have to do them all.  Some guys where we know the delivery, our imagination will do the job.

BUT I am such a sucker for even a "so-so" DREAM MACHINE promo!
