-      Gordon is joined right out of the gate by the AWA World Tag Team Champions, Jesse Ventura and Adrian Adonis, the East-West Connection. Ventura seems to have much to say. “You see Gordon Solie, Florida is the hottest destination in the AWA today. Men like Greg Valentine, Jake Roberts and his Legion of Doom, Ron Garvin, they all show that there are men who will do anything to be on top in this profession. Just like the East-West Connection. But look at this physical specimen Gordon. 19 inches of California honed physical perfection. Look at Adrian Adonis there. Pretty boys like the Malenkos or Mike Graham can’t match the toughness of the real boy from New York City. So when the East-West Connection signed for matches here in Florida, we expected to get to face the toughest men you have, but who do we get? Omar Atlas and George Barnes. These guys are chumps and not worthy of our time. So Eddie Graham-cracker, the East –West Connection is giving you until the end of this telecast to get someone worthy of our efforts or you won’t see us wrestling in Florida again.”
 
-      King Curtis Iaukea is out with the Missing Link and Mr. Pogo and he tells Buddy that he has signed his men for the 2 on 1 match March 10th in the Bayfront Center. “Butch Reed, a great panther of the squared circle. You have marked in blood the date of your final breath. March 10th, my Missing Link and Mr. Pogo will crush you. Pogo is merciless. The Missing Link is uncontrollable. Together, they are unstoppable and will crush you like a ripe orange. You have brought this upon yourself Reed. Now, you will pay the ultimate price.”
 
-      In a videotaped interview, CWA announcer Lance Russell speaks with the man he calls the Southern Heavyweight Champion; “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. “Lance, everywhere I go across the territory, I’ve got people asking, ‘What’s this about another man saying he’s the Southern Heavyweight Champion?’ Well the real wrestling fans here in the AWA need to open their eyes and see that I’m the real Southern Heavyweight Champion. Accept no substitution! Because the man calling himself the champion down there in Florida, he’s just another man who wants to be like the Nature Boy. Do you see this belt Lance Russell, it says AWA Southern Heavyweight Champion. See this suit? Armani. $1000 Rolex wristwatch, $500 alligator shoes. These belong to the Southern Heavyweight Champion. And if you have the guts to show up in Memphis, Nashville, Louisville, anywhere in this territory, I’ll show you why I’m the best thing going in wrestling today. It’s Ric Flair, not Jerry Lawler, not Dusty Rhodes, not that punk in Texas, and certainly not you Greg Valentine. WHOOOOO!”
 
-      Brett Sawyer tells Barbara that the time to deal with Ron Garvin has come. “Ron Garvin thinks that I’m just a stepping stone to bigger and better things for him. Well I’ve got news for you Ronnie; I’ve been the television champion here in Florida for longer than you’ve been this territory.  You may be a veteran with a great right hand, and you can keep knocking me out after my matches. It doesn’t change the fact that I’ve got this belt and neither you nor any of your cronies can take it off of me.”
 
-      Professor Boris Malenko tells Buddy that his sons are more than ready to face off with the East-West Connection. “Buddy, if there is one thing Florida wrestling fans know is that the Malenkos are ready to wrestle anytime and anywhere. And while the Assassins seem to think that they deserve a shot at my sons’ Florida Tag Titles, the Malenkos know that if we beat Ventura and Adonis today, we will deserve a shot at the AWA World Tag Team titles. And since everyone seems to be setting up big matches on March 10th, go ahead and by some return tickets, because the Malenkos are more than ready for you.”
 
-      Gordon is joined by Southern Heavyweight Champion Greg Valentine and the champion can’t stop pacing. “Gordon, if there is one man in this business I have no respect for it’s that pompous prissy “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. You have the nerve to send that video in saying you’re the REAL Southern Heavyweight Champion. Well the last time I saw you in Florida, you were running away with your bleach blonde locks bloody from getting your tail kicked by Dusty Rhodes. So you can flash all the expensive suits and shoes and watches you want, because when you get in the ring with a Valentine, pain is the only thing that is getting served up and its all you can handle.”

-      The Missing Link and Mr. Pogo defeat George Barnes and Omar Atlas after the Link delivers a guided headbutt to Barnes.
 
-      Florida TV Champion Brett Sawyer defeats Terry Garvin with a side Russian leg sweep.
 
-      Mike George defeats the Nightmare with a brutal shoulder breaker.
 
-      AWA World Tag team Champions the East-West Connection fall to the Florida Tag Team Champion, the Malenko brothers after Dean Malenko was able to roll up a disoriented Jesse Ventura after Jesse missed a shoulder tackle in the corner.

Boy, the Malenkos really stepped up with the non-title win over Ventura and Adonis. The promos from Valentine and Flair were spot on. I am hoping that Sawyer isn't biting off more than he can chew in challenging Ron Garvin. Can't make up my mind if Reed is brave or foolish.
