We will have the winner of the Louisiana State Tourney in action today, also in action today back from a Japanese tour Hiro Matsuda and Tastumi Fujinami. We will also see in action a new comer to Mid-South, Jumbo Tsuruta. In a battle of All-Americans the rookie Rick Steiner will face Herb Calvert and in our main event Ken Mantell will face Captain Redneck Dick Murdock. We will also hear from AWA World Champion Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler who has some harsh words for Murdock and the JYD, who I am sure will have a response. We will see Jumbo Tsuruta in action next on Mid-South wrestling after these messages. COMMERICAL BREAK with promos for upcoming action throughout the Mid-South promotional area. We come back to the program with a match ready in the ring. Jumbo Tsuruta against Frank Savage Jumbo turns Frank into a suplex dummy. The former WWF Intercontental Champion has no problem with Savage leaving him laying in the middle in of the ring after a vicious belly to back suplex with a bridge. Jumbo Tsuruta, Toru Tanaka, Tatsumi Fujinami with Mid-South Junior Heavyweight Belt and Hiro Matsuda are with Boyd and the Cowboy. Hiro takes the mike and explains to everyone that while they were in Japan, Tatsumi pinned him for the title. Watts speaks up about him not knowing about that to which Hiro says to talk to Baba San about it. Hiro is also going to be spokesman for the group and as always they will stick together. They are going to come here to win belts, make money and show everyone here that the Japanese wrestler is the best in the world. Boyd says that the Tatsumi and Hiro are next on Mid-South Wrestling. COMMERICAL BREAK with promos for upcoming action throughout the Mid-South promotional area. We come back to Tatsumi and Hiro in the ring Tatsumi Fujinami and Hiro Matsuda with Jumbo Tsuruta and Toru Tanaka versus Mike Doggendorf and Mike Stallings Fujinami and Matsuda look strong against the two Mike’s. Matsuda finishes off Dogendorff with spinning toehold for the submission victory. Boyd says that they have received a VTR from the AWA World Champion Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, who will be defending his title in the area soon. Let’s hear from the AWA World Champ. START VTR We see Jerry behind an AWA logo holding the AWA World Title and wearing a crown. The King starts off by saying that when he won the belt he said that he would be willing to go anywhere away from his home in Memphis, be in San Antonio, Minneapolis, Chicago, Las Vegas, Tallahassee, Miami, Calgary, Orlando, Cleveland and Indianapolis. Jerry said he wanted go anywhere but those wretched swamps of Louisiana, the dregs of the world called Arkansas and Oklahoma and the armpit of America, Mississippi. Unfortunately with winning this title I have to defend it here. So I will be taking my proactive antibiotics and bringing a new invention that no one has heard of in those states, called soap, with me and defending my titles against the top contenders. Jerry is handed a piece of paper as he reads off the top contenders, Hector and Mando Guerrero, he has heard of these two jumping beans that made it over the Rio Grande. Dick Murdock, a man whose wrestling ability is far outclassed by his lack of hygiene and body odor. Porkchop Cash, imagine a wrestler named after a piece of meat that commoners eat, not like the filet mignon that is fed to him every night. Last and definitely least Junkyard Dog. I’ll beat he has plenty of fleas and ticks for everyone. No matter who I wrestle and how many baths I have to take to remove the smell, Mid-South Wrestling, I will see you soon and it will be your pleasure. END VTR Boyd says that we will hear from the Junkyard Dog when we come back and see Herb Calvert and Rick Steiner in action. COMMERICAL BREAK with promos for upcoming action throughout the Mid-South promotional area. When we come back we see Herb Calvert and Rick Steiner in the ring. These two men put on a great scientific match with it going back and forth throughout the ten minute time limit. The amateur skills of both men show. Calvert is getting frustrated with the younger and quicker Steiner. In his frustration he uses the rope for extra leverage after a schoolboy for the pin. Rick argues about the pin as Herb tells him that it’s all part of growing up. While herb goes up the aisle to a confused Steiner we go to Boyd and Bill at the interview area with the Junkyard Dog. JYD watched Lawler’s little performance. He has a response for him, saying that not only do his fleas and ticks bite but has been known to a big ol’ hunk out of somebody hind end. JYD says that his title shot will come along, he is more than happy being where he is and defending his North American Title against all comers, as he mentions Toru Tanaka. The Dog says that he hears all of the fans whisper about how rough and tough Kamala is. Let the whispers end, JYD runs from no man and he wants Kamala in the ring. Bill says that he will talk with Grizzly and see what can be done. JYD shakes Bill’s and Boyd’s hand as Boyd tells the fans that the main event is next and before that we hear from Captain Redneck after these commercial breaks. COMMERICAL BREAK with promos for upcoming action throughout the Mid-South promotional area. Bill and Boyd welcome back the fans as with them at the stage, dip in tow, is Captain Redneck. He says he heard the Memphis Motormouth run his mouth. Dick looks at Bill and tells him that he knows what soap is and he takes his bath, every Saturday night whether he needs it or not. Dick says that Lawler can run his mouth on video tape but when it comes to getting into the ring and fighting, Murdock is sure that he will come up on the winning side. He reminds Lawler that he had the belt before and he has every goal to do it again. He wants Lawler to watch what he does in the ring and know he has that and a lot more waiting for him. We go to the match of Ken Mantell and Dick Murdock with the Captain, still with dip, just beats on Mantell. A huge slam and brain buster ends things quickly, as Murdock reminds the camera that Lawler needs to watch how he does things, because that’s how he will lose the title. Boyd is back with the new Louisiana State Champion Mr. Wrestling Tim Woods. Tim tells all of the fans that he is honored to wear this title and he wants to thank the fans for standing behind him and Tom Prichard for the great match in New Orleans. Both Bill and Grizzly have agreed that next week on TV that Tom will get another shot. The match that they put in for the crowd in New Orleans was amazing and they want to do it again, because Tom is such a great guy and fell just short in the match. Bill says that next week will be a must see for all of the fans and invites them to tune in next week for more Mid-South Wrestling. ROLL CREDITS FADE TO BLACK
