Spring 1983 Draft information
Mar 9th, 2013, 11:13am

Gentlemen and lady,

As follows will be our schedule for the Spring draft of 1983.  I am lucky that I got the numbers done ahead of time.  As always we randomized the organizations at Random.org .  11 organizations got 52 numbers, 8 got 51 to get us to 999.  We will be using the North Carolina Education Lottery, evening draw on the 22nd of March.  This will only be a two round draft, with the compensatory picks for the war cards coming after the second round. Your Unprotected list will be due by the April 1st.  Please send a copy to myself, Johnny and Mike.  The draft will be taking place on April 13th at 12:00 noon.  If you have any questions please ask.  If you have traded picks please wait until we get the order up to post them and post them on this thread.  Thanks again for everything you do.  I can't remember a time where we have had as much action on the board and all of the praise for that goes to all of you.  Each one of you adds something different and I am glad to have all of you on board with us.

Good luck to all and happy drafting.

James

15 wrestlers and 1 manager.  If you don't have a manager on your roster, you can protect 16.  Everyone needs to remember to keep their roster to a minimum of 24.  You can only lose three wrestlers off of your roster in this draft.

So that would mean that the Unprotected List would be 16 wrestlers and 2 managers?

Your unprotected list would be whoever would be left over. That is what you send in.

Quick (lazy?) clarification on War Card supplemental picks.  Are they at the end of round one or very end?

Mapping out NEXT drafy plans, lol.

end of the second round.  Considering you and stampede will be having the first war card whoever has the lowest 2nd round pick will have the higher compenstory pick.

*+-The number drawn was 185 which means in San Antonio the champange is flowing freely as they recieve the first pick in the spring draft.  Congrats Mickey.  The draft order goes as follows, and please post any trades that you have made with draft picks involved on this thread.

Happy drafting to all. Remember, never to early to get your unprotected list to Mike, Johnny and myself.

MAPLE LEAF has acquired Portland's #30 pick, which is sent to WWA to complete the Kelly Twins deal.

OH MY, I got number 3, might be interested in trading down a bit in the 1st round, depending on the talent available on the 1st.

SWCW sends their second round pick to WWA in order to finalize a previous deal. Mike asked me to post this for him. WWC sends their first round pick to Stampede to finalize a previous deal as well.

As you mull tis deep and high quality selection(including HOF calibre!) may I suggest.

That third pick of mine is TOO GOOD for me.  I you are willing to give up your second and first pick to move up to three, I am willing to gamble I can get three non-HOF'ers I want.

I'll leave this offer to stand to FRIDAY this week.

I still have not activate the upgrade I need for the Chat so e-mail me.
